Aussie Rules Football

Ladies and gents some of you fine people don't have the luck to live in a country where the worlds, purest, most fantastic sport is played by it's best atheletes with enough heart to fill a wheelbarrow.

I am of course talking about Australian Rules Football, this little known sport is a bit of a hybrid of Rugby and Soccer where the goals are beaitiful, the marks spectacular and the tackles crunching.

You probably don't have a clue what I'm on about so I'll show you instead.

So this thread is for the discussion of Australian Football in all it's forms, be it the national competition (AFL) or the state games (VFL, SANFL, WAFL)

A bit lol, it's a physical game. I myself have gotten a long list of injuries playing it. as for a lack of protection it's because one padding adds weight and thus bigger impacts, two they are massively tough and three it's tradition, no protection in the 1800's.

it's six points if you put it through the middle post, one point for either side within the other two posts.

I'm quite surprised really to tell the truth, I was expecting to get trounced easily - we've really taken some big step this season, so I'm happy :D

You guys did well though - but yeah, the defensive play, and letting Embley play unmarked most of the game did it in

But man, I have dead nerves after it - I think about a dozen times through the match I thought, "Here we go, the Power are going to slaughter us" - especially after Brogan's hissy fit lol

Brogan doesn't throw hissy fits he indicates his level of cave troll rage XD

fair play to Embley he played well even if we persisted with a loose man structure that left him free ALL the time. Was a good day at AAMI though and I'm glad I became a member despite the journey.
