Favorite Forum Skin on RPA?

Ace, there's a drop-down menu right at the bottom-left of the page that lets you select a different skin. Or you can edit it in options ofc.

I always preferred the Default layout cause I'm boring.

But now for some strange reason, the layout doesn't work for me anymore? I don't know, and some of the other layouts aren't working for me all that well either. So now I'm currently using Into Darkness, which…well, it hurts my eyes a lot actually @_@ But I'll get used to it.

I'm too stubborn to test the other skins though. Brown and mint green is just too yummy~

Well, I have to agree with Necella, but not because I'm boring. I just never knew there was anything else, so it's all alien to me. But I did like expresso yourself. It reminded me of old 70's wood paneling.

To be absolutely honest, none of them. I mean, the default one is okay, but sort of a second-rate version of the reaaaaaally, rich dark purple default skin of the zetaboard site. The others, I absolutely hate. Anymore than five seconds on the pink one would probably burn out my retinas.

That's the exact problem I'm having! Glad I'm not the only one. I kinda hope the issue gets fixed soon because I would love to go back to the Default layout. XD

I like Grind my Gears personally. The only real problem I have is when newbies log on and it my eyes get ripped to shreds whe I try to read names. I have to highlight them to read the names. Though that's what I get for trying to read bright yellow on a white background.

I use the default because it works better for me and things look sharper. I would prefer to use walking on sunshine, but it's too damn bright no matter how I adjust my screen brightness.

I have the into the darkness set right now, its the only one i really like.

Into the Darkness was neat-o and so was the orange one, but like... >.>

The default is just.. RPA. XD so I have a hard time adjusting to the other ones... I mean... these were the colors on the old one that I frequented a lot, so it's just hard to switch to something else XD

Into Darkness, I also like RPA dark but some of the things don't really work on it.

I use the coffee shop one, and honestly, I've gotten so used to it, I forgot there were other options.

I use the vbulletin skin...sad huh! but I like the light gray/blues it has.. it's easier on the eyes with these horrid work lights at my desk. when I do switch.. it's the tangled up in Blue one. Believe it or not, we are trying to get some new ones, and to add more choices!

Default for a couple of reasons:

1. I never knew there were other skins.
2. The others can be difficult to read at times. Too much or too little contrast.
3. Default seems tidy and easier to read. White on grey looks fantastic and is easy on the eyes.
4. You get the awesome user-made banner in Default!

Just some tips for skin developers. Be careful of the colours you use for text and backgrounds. You want contrast, but not too much contrast. For example, instead of black writing on a white background, change the background to a light grey or blue, or change the writing to a dark shade of grey. It looks neat and professional and is fantastic on the eyes.

I too was unaware of the different skins. After an extensive trial and error process which lasted me one or two minutes I've decided that I like default the most.
