A Frightening Good Contest

A man in a ring leader outfit walks into the ring, the spot lights swiveling in their sockets to land on the man, shadows thrown by the lights. The man looked up, a pure white mask covering his face as the noise in the ring died down. The mask smiled at outwards, giving both invitation and fright.

“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen” The ring leader started, his nearly perfect voice ringing out as he threw his arms wide.

“To KarnEvil, a place of wonder and mystery”

“Worlds where reality has no hold, and lies fabricate the truth with every twist. Watch in awe and shock as the very depths of your psyche are pushed to your limits, and the twisted desires of man, woman, and child alike crawl from the pits of hell. Beware what lurks in the corner of your very own mind, for it might amaze and astound even your own world.”

“So, without further ado, let the show begin!” The ring leader said with a flourish, pulling off the mask to show nothing but swirling darkness as the spotlights cut off, plunging the whole stadium into the dark…


A Frightening Good Writing Contest!

It has been months since our last writing contest and I've been eagerly awaiting another one. This time we're gonna do things a little different though...

So what's the theme?
Since this is the month of October, and we all know what that means. HALLOWEEN! Free candy, cool costumes and HOLY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS UNDER THOSE STAIRS!!!

How is the winner going to be picked?
In the past the writing contests have been judged by a small panel but not this time. For this contest everyone will get a chance to vote for their favourite story!
To keep things anonymous for the voting polls, each submission must be PM'ed to myself or Kris

How long can the story be?
Unlike previous contests, the entries must be short in length. About the length of a flash fiction piece of writing.
A minimum length of 400 words, and a maximum of 1250 words has been set for this contest. (A little over would be alright)
Submissions should be given in this for,

Guidelines
All RPA rules must be followed
Submissions may have mature content, but must be clearly labeled as you would with a mature RP
400 – 1250 word length

You have until the 23th of October to submit your entry!

The Winner shall be announced on October 31st, So everyone can have sweet treat

Right you are Mary Sue - It's got to have a halloween theme, which doesn't mean horror, persay... If you celebrate halloween in a different way, then write about that. The typical USA version of Halloween is horror, scary, candy, change your appearance, Trick Or Treat, haunted houses, goblins, witches, devils, and spooky!
