With the bulky wooden doors shut, and the fireplace burning with great vigor. A stained glass window, colored beautifully to cast the image of a noble knight shielding children from a horde of small, very strange creatures. With dull skin, and a mouth half the size of their heads. One could only imagine the teeth within the frightened lips of the creatures.

Underneath the restless group of sleeping people, blood stains the floor, starting from the middle, and moving around to each of them before leaving the room. Oddly enough, two chairs and a couch barricade the doors. Suggesting this was done beforehand.

Ray's eyes flashed open, a small gasp escaping her lips. She lifted her head, a small protest from her stiff neck. She quietly moaned as she took a blank glance around the room, terror and fear suddenly finding her. Her heart rate sped up by a mile, and she could almost hear her pulse ringing in her ears. She brought a numb hand to her forehead, an aching sense now drumming in her head. She true to remember what had happened, but she couldn't even remember her name. Even though no one else seemed to be awake, she asked, "Where am I?"

Roxxanne Dylan woke up on the floor of some room in some house. The first thing she did was leap up and get in a fighting position. She looked around. There were poeple around her, sitting and laying. One girl was up already. She was looking around. Roxxanne did not know what her name was, where she came from, or how she had gotten here. It was like she did not remember anything about her. She could speak, and think, but not remember. She shook her head. She patted her pockets and found a camera around her neck and a silver chain. She looked at the camera, and found the first and only picture to be of an owl. It looked like a screech owl. She decided her name was to be Hoot, since she did not have an actual one. She put the camera to her eye, and took a picture of the room. Next, she started banging on the door.

Franky opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling, his head pounding in time with the banging on the door. "Ugh...Stop that pounding...! My head is killing me." He sat up and rubbed his head. "Hell, what happened last night..." He looked at the other people around the room, "And who the hell are you people?" He blinked and placed his hand on his forehead, "And who am I? Why can't I remember?" He whispered quietly, not asking anyone in particular.

Quickly, he felt his pockets for any clue as to his identity, but all he could find were a pair of coins, one was a plain coin, heads and tails. But the other was a custom made two-headed coin. He examined the edge, and noticed a small engraving that circled the coin, "Make your own luck...?" He read out loud.

Hoot looked at the man who woke up next. She studied him, noted he was some what handsome, then turned back to figure out a way to get out and find answers. She studied the chairs and couch. She sighed, and turned, arms crossed, feet spread. She studied the room again, noting the oldness and staleness. She studied the picture of the knight, and wondered. She shook her head.

Drakkon

The picture of the knight is very different from the actual one. For one thing, the children are on the otherside of the man, fear and tears adorned their faces as their mouths seemed to be sewn shut. The knight himself was no longer noble, but a black armored being whose once handsome face was now hidden underneath a full-helm. Behind him, the creatures he once defended the children against were cheering as once did the children. Snake-like tongues and dense rows of teeth filled their mouths.

Noticing he was being checked out, Franky shoved his coins into his pocket and pulled himself to his feet, stumbling slightly as he did. Still rubbing the temple of his pounding head with his right hand, he shuffled his way behind Hoot, who was checking out a picture. When he was close enough, he reached out and tapped her shoulder, "Hey, camera girl, you got any idea what's going on here?"

Ray glanced up at the two who were starting a conversation. She glanced behind the man's head, to the giant painting of the knight and children. She sharply gasped as the picture had an unspeakble change. She kept her body locked on the wall as she rose very fast. She furrowed her eyebrow as the events in the picture dramaticly changed. She stared at it with her mouth open, before she swallowed hard and pulled herself off from the wall. "D-do you guys s-see that...? The...the picture, it...changed??" She tore her eyes off of the painting for a moment to look at them, hoping that she wasn't the only one seeing the painting change.

Hoot shook her head, staring at the picture. She narrowed her eyes, and sighed. Things were very different. She then registered what the guy had said. She started getting upset. "I am not the 'camera girl' thank you very much! I can not believe you are throwing around insults when we are stuck in this room and the pictures are changing and we do not know how we got here and oh my god what happened why do I not remember what happened what are we supposed to do.." she started hyperventilating and got a panic attack that had her running in small circles, hands waving in the air.

"Woah woah, slow down there, camera gir-er...You." He pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance, looking from the panicing girl to the other girl that seemed to be staring past him, "Maybe we should just introduce ourselves, that would probably make things easier..." Or it would be if I could remember my name... he mumbled to himself, "How about..." He started to point to Roxy, but she was still running in circles so he quickly changed directions, "You?" He pointed to Ray.

Sunlight-

Ray pointed stiffly to herself. "Me? Well introducing myself would be so much more Convenient if I knew who I was. Though the only thing I can think of is Ray, so let's go with that. Does anyone have anything to smoke? I've got a lighter..." She held the purple lighter up for them to see, before sighing. "And how the hell did we all get here anyway?"

"Wait, you don't remember either?" Lucky asked, surprised. "Oh thank God. I thought I was the only one that couldn't remember anything." He sighed in relief. "As to how we got here..." He pointed to the blood trails on the floor, and then quickly checked his body for injuries, "Apparently, either one of us is bleeding heavily, or we were brought in here by someone that is...Or was." He shrugged, "Anyways, since I can't remember my name either, just call me..." He paused and pulled the two headed coin out of his pocket, "Lucky. Call me Lucky."

Hoot had calmed down enough, and plopped on the ground. She leaned her head against the wall and stared. She put the camera to her eye and took a picture of the new picture on the wall. She then got one of each person, including herself. She then spoke. "I am Hoot. As that is all I can think of."

Ray took afew steps forwards, before looking around. "We need to find a way out of this room. I think that we are in either a Victorian era mansion or a castle type building." She looked from the two, before looking at the others sleeping. "If they don't wake up soon we can searh them for something useful. It seems we all have something to use." She did a quick sweep of the room, stopping briefly on Hoot and Lucky.

Hoot shrugged her shoulders and got up, quickly. She turned, facing the walls. She then started knocking on the sides of the walls. She walked slowly, all around the room, knocking high, low, and everywhere.

The knocking... Oh, the knocking. All Melody had wanted to do was get a little more rest but did anyone around her think about that? No, they didn't. She rolled over into a more comfortable position. Squinting her eyes she looked at what she was laying on. It was a couch; one of those victorian ones with not enough padding and more than enough wood. 'What's that,' she thought looking at a place that was a little darker than the rest. It sort of looked like...blood.
Melody screamed jumping off the couch and onto the hard floor, only to see more blood and people. What the heck was going on here? Where is here? And she couldn't even remeber har own name. Looking over to the other people who were awake she gave a sheepish grin and asked, "Do any of you guys know what in the world is going on?"

Lucky looked over at the girl that fell off the couch, "Oh look, another visitor our little house of horrors." He walked over to her and offered her a hand, "Let me guess, you can't remember your name either?" He said as he pulled her to her feet, "We have no clue about what's going on around here. We all chose some temporary names until we can remember our names, I'm Lucky, your guide for the day." He motioned toward Ray, "That's Ray, the closet pyromaniac." He pointed at Hoot and sighed, "And the girl that's knocking on the walls, that's Hoot..." He leaned in and whispered, "I think she might be a little crazy." He said as he drew little circles around his temple with his finger.

Melody stared at the guy. He was mildly good looking with his black hair and mischievous green eyes and she could tell he had quite a sense of humor; something very hard to find in people now-a-days, though she couldn't remember how she knew that. The other two were pretty interesting too. One of the girls who he had called ray was holding a lighter and the other, Hoot I think he called her, was walking around knocking on the walls like a blind man.
Melody stuck her hand out to shake Lucky's hand. "It's a pleasure to meet you. My name is," she paused in thought," Fay; you know like a faerie. I think I like faeries, but I can't very well remember." She smiled at him happily. "So when's the party gonna start?"

On the wall the barricaded doors are on, a loud bang answered Hoot's knocking, once, twice, three times then it stopped. One of the candles that helped light the room went out, darkening bare corner of the room, above them the electric chandelier flickered. Though this could be more of the vibration of the banging then anything else, least that be the more logical reason.

Hoot stopped knocking suddenly, as they all heard the sound. She smiled. "I can hear you. I am not blind, I was looking to see if the walls are hollow. They are not. But, if we can remove the barricade, we can find out what is happening, out of this room." She quirked her eye brow at the young girls and the handsom man.

"Sounds like a plan," Fay replied placing her hands on her hips. Her face was set in a determined manner as she stared down the chairs and couch barricading the large doors. This room was very interesting with it's style, and she couldn't wait to she the rest of what she assumed was a mansion. Her curosity was worse than a cat's but you know what everyone forgets to say after curiosity killed it, satisfaction brought it back. This adventure would just be another game to store away in Fay's memory. That is once she got her memory back.
"So... any of you guys have some muscles. I know I don't," she said jokingly while flexing her arms.

Lucky looked at the ground, "That...Blood is a bit disheartening, but it seems to be the only way we can go." He said as he walked to the side of the couch and started trying to push. After a few seconds, he stood back up, blushing slightly and rubbing the back of his head, "C-could someone help me? This thing is really heavy..." He grumbled, embarrassed.

Ray looked at the other two girls expectantly before sighing and moving towards Lucky. "Here" As she put ger hands on he couch near Lucky's, their bodies brushed against eachother. She blushed furiously. She began to push the couch, smiling as it began to move under the two's combined strength. As the couch was now out of the way, she stepped away from him quickly. It almost seemed as though she was fleeing from him. As she smiled sheepishly at him, she looked towards the other large object. "Do you need help with that...?" Sh kept her eyes away from him at all costs.

Fay watched as they pushed the couch and chairs away from the door. It looked SO heavy, but they somehow managed to move it out of the way. She couldn't help noticing the girl, Ray wasn't it, blush whhen her body brushed against the cute boy with the good sense of humor. Fay could so see this escalating into a romance and everyone knew Fay was a romantic, well actualy they didn't, but whatever. She sighed loosing her memory was definetely something Fay was never doing again. Brushing away her annoying bangs she walked up to the other two.
"She we move this large... object out of the way and face dearest destiny head on," asked Fay in her straightforward no nonsense attitude. If something were going to jump out and kill them, she'd like to get it over with before she started getting grey hair.

Lucky scratched his head as Ray quickly backed away after helping him move the blockade, "Was it something I said?" He asked, "Do you need help with that...?" Ray asked, seeming to be avoiding eye contact with him. Lucky looked at the unburdened wooden door, then back at Ray, "No, I got this one, thanks." He said, pushing the door open and, after taking a quick look on the other side to be sure the coast was clear, stepping aside. "Ladies first?" He bowed slightly and motioned to the doorway as he flashed a smile at Ray.

Ray met his eyes as he let ladies first. She wasn't wanting to go first, but it seemed as though she was the only one who's feet moved in that instint. She walked past Lucky, Hoot and Fay into the corridor outside of the door. (Just guessing that it would be a corridor..) She looked left and right for a brief second, before turning to the others. "It looks like right leads towards a staircase, and left goes to a corner." Her eyes wandered, stopping very briefly on Lucky. She quickly averted her eyes, a small laugh escaping her lips.

Hoot rolled her eyes. The girl was nineteen, the man twenty-six. She hoped they had sense. She strode towards the stairs. "Yall do whatever, but I am going up." She quickly mounted the stairs, her strong legs lifting her up easily. She studied the walls, old and molding. She saw a couple of pictures like the one in the room. They did not change though. She tapped her knuckles on the side of the wall. She stopped suddenly, when she heard a hollow noise. She shouted down to the others. "Hey! This wall is hollow! Anyone want to help me see if there is a secret corridor here?"

Drakkon
06-28-2012, 03:48 PM
The Narrator makes an offhand note to Hoot, that she does not know their exact ages, nor is that wall hollow. The pictures are nothing like the one in the room as they are actual pictures rather then a large Stained glass window. And are more scenic then story-going. Just because the Narrator is asleep does not inquire that one may simply toss in a secret passage willy nilly.

Along the walls of the hallway leading down to the room of which the group had recently left, one side holds ugly wires and fancy lamps. In comparison the other side holds candlelight, which is currently lighting up the hallway. Suggesting that the electric lights are a very, very recent addition, and not yet functioning. Of course they could also very well be turned off. There is a button, very easy to miss, underneath each lamp however. The trail that had led outside of the room and into the hallway turns around the darkened corner.

Upstairs, the hallway is lit by candlelight only, and cobwebs and broken glass litter the short corridor, the staircase, once on it, reveals a downward passage.

Fay looked around walking out of the large doorway. This place looked as if it had jumped out of some kind of mystery book. There were beautiful senic pictures on the wall adding a sense of WOW to the long coridor that stretched out to the left and right. The girl Hoot had begun to make her way up the staircase leading to a place that looks ravaged. The other two seemed to be observing the scene before them, but Fay could hardly tell in the shifting candlelight.
Her natural instinct was telling her that something was wrong here. She was probably getting that feeling because of the blood splattered on the floor. This, she decided, must be the most exciting thing she's ever done. With a large grin she turned to the other two. "Should we start exploring?"

"You guys go ahead, I'll catch up in a second..." Lucky waved at the three girls and waited until they were preoccupied with looking around before quietly closing the door. Quickly, he snuck over to the two still unconcious people and patted them down for anything useful or valuable. He didn't know why he would do something like this, but it felt almost...Natural, like he had done it before. As he searched their pockets, he pulled out a picture from both of their pockets, one of a man playing with his child in the park, and the other of two young girls that looked almost like twins. Lucky sighed and placed the pictures next to the people that he took them from. "Nothing useful here..."

The red flash came from the window of the room Lucky was in. The picture revealed it's true nature as it did in the picture. A sort of haze fell over Lucky, as the knight in the picture turned it's head from the children to him. Reaching out beyond the window and into the room for him as blood red eyes dimly lit themselves.

The moment, either another person came in, or Lucky ran out or called for help the picture snapped back into it's first form. The red flash did not escape the room, so from the outside it was just the same as it ever was.

Ray was very curious with the pictures. She knew how long the paintings must have been there because of the dust. She rubbed the painting carefully and coughed gently as the dust fell off of the painting. "Yup, that's a lot of dust..." She also wondered what the others were making of this. Truly, she was scared to death. She just wanted out. By the looks of the picture in her pocket, there was a little girl all alone. Unless she was at a daycare or something. Either way, some little girl, most likeły hers, was missing their mother. But, she wasn't that old. Ray doesn't even remember turning 20. So she must just barely be an adult. What? The picture in he pocket suddenly made no sense. If she was only 18 or 19, then how old had she been when she had the baby? 16? 17? 18? No matter what she did, she would try to get out and find answers.

As Lucky set the pictures down next to their owners, a sudden flash of blood red light filled the room and made him jump slightly, he quickly checked the window, but he couldn't see where the light came from. As he looked outside, he felt a chill run down his spine, as if something was looking at him. Slowly, he turned around and saw the face of the knight glaring down at him and the rest of it turned into something out of a nightmare. Lucky screamed as he saw the eyes of the knight begin to glow and it's hand reached for him. Lucky ran for the door as fast as he could, but the door seemed to be stuck. He rammed against the door a few times, but it wouldn't budge. He looked back quickly, the hand was getting closer to him. He backed up a few steps and kicked the door as hard as he could, causing the door to swing open and slam against the wall behind it. Lucky ran out of the room as fast as he could, his eyes shut tightly, and accidently ran into Ray. He clinged to her tightly, shivering badly.

Ray swooped at the air furiously. As she heard Lucky's panicked screams, she didn't have nearly enoug time to react as she was nearly plowed straight into the wall. "Oh!!" "I-I don't know...I think I might be having some kind of hallucinations or something." Lucky looked back to the room he just ran out of, everything seemed to be back to normal. He couldn't see the eyes or the hand following him. Slowly, his breathing and heartrate returned to normal, and he loosened his grip on Ray. "I-I'm sorry, I don't know what happened. One minute I was...Er...But then the next minute the room flashed red and the painting came alive!" He pointed toward the knight painting in the other room, "It was like a nightmare..."

Ingrid Kaiser woke to hear some commotion coming about. When she tried to find her back pack to get some Pringles, she grew frightened. <<"Where did it go?!">> She thought loudly as her stomach growled. Ingrid looked at her watch, and woke up another girl that was next to her. This was Diana, a girl that went with her. "YO!" She screamed in her ear.

"Kyaa!" The girl jumped up, rubbing at her earlobe. "What's wrong with you? Where are we?!"

Ingrid rubbed her nose, sniffling intermittently "Beats me. Looks like we're stranded." Ingrid patted herself down to get the pictures back. "Stupid..." She muttered as she put them back in her pocket.

The girl realized something. "It appears that I'm Patchouli." The girl named Patchouli stirred to her feet. She mentally took a picture of the dilapidated walls.

Ingrid then tried to remember her name, but the only thing that came up was a vampire hunter from her favorite show. Now, Ingrid mentally erased her name and wrote "Buffy" in place of the hazy memory. "Call me Buffy, the fantastic woman of arts." Buffy tried to act as powerful as possible without screwing her face up to laugh.

Patchouli tried to find a book, but now, it was gone. "I bet our book bags were taken by someone. We need to find some residents of this strange place. I'm not sure where we are, but my guess is by that castle!"

Buffy nodded, but she stopped for a minute. "Ah~, What castle? All I see is rocks, and that ain't close to habitable~,"

"Of course it might! At least SOME of it is good area!" Patchouli countered this saying with her own knowledge. "Wait, aren't we ALREADY in the castle!?" Though she did have some otherworldly logic, how come she didn't know who she was? There had to be clues for both of them. Now, they didn't know how or why they were there. Now, Patchouli and Buffy knew their true goal: finding who they were and to find out about the castle.

Buffy looked at her with concern. Her face expression quickly changed from bewildered to bored. "Obviously. I guess I was just dreaming, or something blocked my view..."

Patchouli then yelled, "ANYONE HERE?!" To get at least SOME attention by any other passers in the castle.

Fay looked back at her companions, they were freaking out to put it simply. She could hear them mumbling about moving pictures and the like. She sighed; why did the fun stuff never happen to her? One thing she didn't understand though was why they were panicking wasn't the whole angst filled mystery thing a normal everyday occurence. Well, besides the blood. Blood just made Fay queasy.
Suddenly a loud yell resounded through the building, she couldn't clearly hear what was said but to her adventerous mind it sounded like "any blood here". Though that might just be her imagination playing tricks on her after finding those fake fangs in her pocket. Slowly she back up to the others until her back was touching one. Patchouli coughed harshly as the dust masked her eyeglasses. She quickly closed her eyes and tried to ponder through the gray, fine cloud. "We need to get help, fast!"

Buffy then just sneezed so loud, it resonated through the halls. "Yeah, yeah... Ah, Jeez... RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH----SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Ah, gawd... Patchouli and Buffy's little area (not exactly there's mind you.) is in complete ruin. As it is, the room has broken boards that might have been any number of things. Large clumps of webs cover the single chair. Dim and narrow rays of light stream through the room through a dirty window. Thanks to Buffy's sneezing clouds of dust have flown upwards, vaguely hindering eyesight. As with the group that had awakened before them a trail of blood drops lead from where they had been laying down, and outside the wide open door. Or rather, the hanging from the hinges open door. Dim light comes from around the right corner, and at the end of the long hallway Lucky would come out from the staircase. At the other end of the hall, a much narrower staircase leads down. Several intersections of corridors and many many doors/doorways line the extended hallway.

In the corner Ray had turned, the blood trail changed to footsteps painted with the blood. They skirt around an open door with light pouring out of it. A pitter patter like sound of small footsteps come from the door, most likely rats.

Ray's heart raced as the footsteps became clear. She quickly looked behind her before takin another step forwards. She wondered what had made that blood trail, it couldn't be the rats she was hearing. They just don't bleed that much-Or make human footprints. So with the she stood in front of the door numbly. "Now let's see who got a boo-boo." She said sarcastically as she slowly eased the door open.

Lucky quietly snuck down the steps, the small flame of the lighter that was flickering in the cold drafts was providing just enough light to see the next step. Every step made a slight squeak as he carefully climbed down. When he reached the bottom, he waved the lighter around, searching for any kind of light switch, but all he could find were some candelabras on the walls. he lit them all, lighting up his side of the hallway, but leaving the rest dark. "Hello? Is anyone there?" He yelled into the darkness.

Samantha was the last person to awake from the deep slumber she was put in. Her head hurt so badly it stung like crap. She had to flinch and hold onto it instantly as it pounded as hard as a hammer pounding onto a needle. She sure did feel like needles we're being stuck in her head. It seemed like someone had hit her there which led her to passing out like that but why? who would? who was she anyways? what was her name?! where in the world was she?!. The moment she thought about her location she immediately stood up from the solid cold ground that had so much dirt on it her hands we're almost pitch black from dust. She looked around and saw almost nothing with only a mere small candle that was the only source of light. That frustrated her and she heard so much noises going on. Were more people in here as well? was she not alone?. She shook her head she didn't care about that! She needed to get the Hell out of here right now!

Finally she decided to just look around before really getting out of this room, this horrible grand room might be safer than the corridors... It seemed like she was going to be stuck here for a while so she might as well stay on the safe side and survive. She walked towards the mirror wanting to see who she is for a moment there.. really how did she look like ? she forgot... was that normal? obviously not. As she was standing in front of the mirror, her reflection was not the best because of the mirror being broken but she could see some detail. Her hair was red... really red it was obviously dyed and it was really short too.. punk like style with spikes going on.. She looked so much like a ... boy?! what in the world that wasn't right! She looked down to see that she barely even had a chest.. was she really a girl?... what kind of person would question her gender!?. Oh God her thoughts we're getting all mixed up with everything happening at once, she looked like a boy but felt like a girl. Obviously was a girl. Then was she a tomboy?... probably so.

Fay had watched as their small group had split up to go and explore. Lucky had headed down the creaky stair to investigate where the loud yell had come from, which she was eternally grateful he had been the one to volunteer because knowing her luck it really would be a vampire. Ray had headed the other way towards the sounds of scurrying rats and a large door. With a sigh Fay decided she would explore this part of the hallway. She walked towards the wall opposite the door. It was covered with all different kinds of wire and beautiful lamps evenly spaced along the wall. Dusting off one of the lamps she leaned closer to inspect it. It's origins seemed Victorian like the rest of the mansion, but she wasn't quite sure if they had lamps in Victorian times. Fay's hand brushed up against something; it wasn't very big but it also wasn't small. Leaning down she saw a button and before you could say "don't touch the button she pressed it...

Throughout the hallway, the light bulbs shattered and the candle lights blew out. Creating a deep darkness. The blood trail glowed faintly, allowing Fay to see the outline of a dog at the end of the hallway. Snarling the beast charged at her, and seconds from her neck the candles re-lit and the lamp just above her turned on. The Blood trail was more wild, as dog prints and a trail of drool leading towards Fay was now there. Clearly showing that the dog was there just before the lights had turned on.

The room Ray had entered was dimly lit, and the twisted form resembling one of the creatures in the picture Hoot had taken skirted into a fireplace on the right side of the room. On the far side, there is a great bed, while on the left a wardrobe and dresser adorned the wall. From the fireplace Ray could hear the creature scramble up the chimney grunting and huffing. The blood trail continues down the hallway outside, but more pitter patter like sounds faintly echo the hallway.

Ray furrows her eyebrow as she watches the-whatever it was-scurry up the fireplace before she stepped forwards slightly. She wrapped a carefu hand around the doorknob, pushing it open wide befor stepping inside. She gasped slightly at the appearance; she was expecting something more like a slave chamber or something. Maybe a dead body on a chain or something. As she took notice to the details of the room, the door slammed shut and a click was heard as the door locked from the outside. She gasped and hammered on the door once. "Lucky?? Fay?? Hoot?? That's not very funny, unlock the door!!" She hammered again before glancing behind her.

Lucky carefully scanned the darkness for any sign of life as the candles flickered in the cold air. He listened closely to his surroundings to see if he could hear those voices that had brought him down here, but there was nothing but silence. "Hmm...Those voices could have been another hallucination..." He thought out loud as he waved the lighter around in the dark, "What should I do...Go back up and rejoin the others, or stay down here and chase shadows..." He thought for a minute, and then pulled the regular coin out of his pocket, "When men can't decide which way to go, sometimes they have to step back and let lady luck take the wheel for a bit." He mumbled to himself as he flipped the coin around his fingers and set it on the edge of his middle finger, "Heads I go deeper, tails I go back." He said as he flipped the coin high into the air. He flipped his hand so the back was facing up as the coin fell and it landed perfectly flat on it, not moving an inch. He chuckled slightly, "Guess the old me was a fan of lady luck too." He remarked about his coin-flipping prowess. Slowly, he looked at the coin. Tails, the decision was made. Shoving the coin in his pocket, he spun around and headed towards the staircase, but before he left, he looked over his shoulder. "If anyone is here, you should probably come upstairs and join the party!" He yelled into the darkness. Then he started back up the stairs, a bit worried about his friends that he left upstairs.

Ray sniffed as she pounded the door again, it wouldn't budge. She didn't have her lighter; so it was up to the fire to light the room. She looked at the rest of the room; expecting something to jump out and kill her. Why me? What did I ever do? Please let there be a key out there. She cleared her throat quietly before she kicked the door twice. "I'm serious!!! Please open the door!!" She leaned her forehead against the door in a mixture of emotions. Fear and frustration clouded her vision. She weighted her options before swallowing hard. If they couldn't hear her now, they would hear her in a second. She screamed, a piecing scream echoing in the hallway.

When Lucky reached the top of the stairs, he noticed Hoot staring down the hallway, she almost seemed to be frozen with a shocked expression on her face. He approached her slowly, "Hoot? Are you...Ok?" He noticed a small trail of what appeared to be water leading up to her, and a bit of the water was on her neck. She seemed to be paralyzed from fear, breathing, but not moving or speaking. "Hoot...?" He waved a hand in front of her face to try to illicit a response, but as he did so, a ear-splitting scream echoed down the hallway. "Ray?!" He started toward the sound, dashing down the hallway and turning the corner, almost tripping as he did. He looked down at the ground and realized that she probably was following the blood, so he followed it to the door and tried to open it, "Ray? Can you hear me?!"

She was relieved when she heard his voice. "Yeah, I can hear you but the door locked and I can't get out!!" Dge lightly thudded the door again, hoping for it to burst open. She sighed and turned around, her back to the door. She sunk down slowly, wrapping her numb arms around her knees. Her head throbbed with questions, wondering if she would ever get out and see that little girl that was supposedly hers. That's all she wanted; to get out and figure it out. But for now she was stuck in a room.

Patchouli and Buffy were tired, so they stopped to go to sleep. Patchouli dreamed of eating many grape-flavored ice creams, and then getting a toothache and dying. Buffy dreamed of being chosen as the Play Boy Bunny and then breaking her leg in half.

Buffy and Patchouli woke up, obviously covered up in beads of sweat. patchouli put her circular glasses back on her face and scanned the room. "BUFFY! I think I see something!" Patchouli screamed as she saw a pair of red eyes to her left.

"ESHOO!" Patchouli heard Buffy sneeze loudly as she got up from her sleeping spot. "I totally fuh---HARRAHH-SHOOO!" Buffy's face wasn't seen, but there were a bit of torches beside them. Patchouli took Buffy by the hand as they ran to the hallways of the first floor, shouting where everyone went.

Fay was terrified, so terrified that she could hardly make a sound. When the dog had come at her, her life-well at least the last like 30 minutes of it-had flashed before her eyes. She had stumbled back hitting the hard stone wall at collapsing on the ground. Her body shook with tremors that were reminiscent of a seizure. She gasped for breath trying to get her wits back about her. She could barely hear one of the other girls yelling over her pounding heart. She flinched as the boy passed in front of her, not even noticing her form lying prone on the floor. With a large intake of breath she struggled to her feet. The girl near her was still frozen in what Fay could only assume was shock.
Placing one hand against the wall Fay made her way towards where Lucky and Ray had disappeared to. Coming around the corner she found Lucky standing at the door. Taking a deep breath Fay asked in a shaky voice,"I-is Ray alright?"

"Yeah, she's fine. But the door seems to have locked behind her, we've got to get her out." Lucky turned to the door, "Ok, Ray, tell me what you see. Is there anything you can use to break down the door with? Something heavy that you can use to hit the lock?" He looked at the lighter in his hand and then bent down and slid it under the door so it ended up right next to her, "Here's your lighter back, by the way."

"Does the door open towards you or towards us," Fay asked gathering her wits about her. If it opened towards them Ray should be able to use the bedpost to ram the door repeatedly, but it opened towards Ray herself they would have a problem. Well, Lucky could throw himself at the door repeatedly while Fay searched for something useful, but that seemed like wishful thinking. Turning towards Lucky with a hint of desperation in her voice she asked, "Are you sure no one else is here?"

"Try hitting the lock with whatever you found, if you hit it hard enough, it should break." He said, then Hoot asked about which way the door opened. Lucky scratched the back of his head, she had a point, if it swung toward Ray, this would never work. He rubbed his chin as he looked around the hallway for something they could use. His concentration was broken by a desperate sounding Hoot, "Are you sure no one else is here?" He turned back to her, "I dunno...I didn't see anything while I was downstairs, but then again, I didn't want to search the entire downstairs by myself, as we have seen, being alone tends to be a bad idea." He motioned toward the locked door. "Why? Did you see something?"

"No," Fay said glancing at the door again before looking at Lucky, "I just figured if we had more people it would be easier to open the door if Ray can't break it." She glaced around again looking for something to use, but to no avail. All there was were those blasted lamps with the buttons of doom and paintings on the wall. If they weren't nailed or glued the wall the pictures might be useful for breaking the door or prying it open. "Are you alright in there Ray," she yelled at the door.

She but her lip before slamming her foot against the doorknob. The doorknob fell to the ground, and the doors wood cracked. She gasped in pain, grabbing we now aching foot. "Got it..!" Buffy couldn't stop sneezing, even Patchouli even had an urge to sneeze because of the ridiculous amount of dust wafting towards her face. Her glasses were all fogged up with dust, so she couldn't see as clearly as she wanted. Buffy took one of the torches and handed one of them to Patchouli.

"Here we go again." Patchouli looked around to find the others. Patchouli immediately heard someone--a female--screaming as Patchouli went to see if anyone was there.

"Ah~, what now?" Buffy rubbed her green eyes that were currently tearing. She heard someone scream someone's name. She didn't know anyone else around here, but she HAD to get known. "Patchy, let's go upstairs; maybe there's a safer place up than down."

We heard commotion, but it was blocked by the crumbling in the ground. Unfortunately, I don't have any food. My follower only had a mere pack of gum. Even if we did, it would have been long spoiled before you came along."

Buffy then had one of her sneezing fits in the background while Patchouli was talking to the girl. After a minute of sneezing, Buffy was blinded by the water of her eyes. She sniffed loudly and answered, "I didn't; I never really had gum to be honest. Even if I did, it'd be about three pieces left." Buffy wiped the water from her eyes that threatened to pour out. Her nose was running quite fiercely as she spoke. Her nose grew all pink around the edges as she wiped her itchy, runny nose.

"I don't see why you wish to have food unless if there's something wrong here. Unfortunately, I may be just as unreliable as these rooms. Dark glowing eyes hovered behind Buffy, another pair behind Patchouli. "Okay.. but you might not like what you see." The one behind Patchouli says. The moment Buffy and Patchouli turned around they were met by two dark versions of themselves. Vapory shadows rose from their shoulders. "If your smart, you would leave this place.. right now." The Dark Buffy growled. Though before they could disappear when Ray turned the corner, a near ear-shattering screech came from the outside. Then another, then another, at least four distinct (If one could call them that.) screeches came time and time again. The whole of the castle began to shake, and the lights within the hallway flickered. The strange ghost dog that had attacked Fay appeared with the darkness. Though it's growling was continuous, it only moved in the darkness. A mere two bounds from the corner, the lights stopped flickering. Obviously holding a target as it ignored Buffy and Patchouli, whom were closer.

As Lucky started to round the corner, his eyes met the four bright red lights that appeared behind the two strangers and he thought he heard them say something, but he couldn't make it out. "Not more hallucinations..." Suddenly, he was brought to his knees by an ear-splitting scream, he looked around for where it was coming from, but the lights began to flash and the room started to shake, making it almost impossible to see what was going on. As the lights flickered, he could almost swear that he saw a dog bounding straight for him. He quickly covered his face as the lights suddenly turned back on and the dog seemed to pass straight through him and disappear.

Once everything seemed to be back to normal, Lucky noticed that Ray hadn't been moving, and she seemed to had been knocked unconcious. He quickly scrambled over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder "Ray?" He lightly shook her. "Stop!! Please," She suddenly screamed out, the desperation in her voice was clear. "Ray, it's me! Ray's body went limp, her hands slumping slightly and her mind momentarily at a stand-still. It seemed as though when the shrieking and growls stopped, her body was unresponsive. Lucky's voice traveled through her head emptily, and her mind was peaceful and practically empty. Her muscles quickly relaxed and she was no more then a piece of dough, easy to move and folded into everything. As there was suddenly more pressure in her hand, she winced out of what she believed to be bruises forming, but quickly put together that someone had grabbed her hand. Slurred words tried to coax her awake, but she could barely make out her own name in the coaxing.

As the camera lightly dropped down the stairs, her eyes flew open and listened to the batteries roll on the floor and come to a stop. Her eyes blinked twice slowly before her body and mind registered the man crouched over her. She gasped sharply and quickly before roughly shoving his hand away and holding her breath as she scrambled across the hard, cold stone floor. Her adrenaline ran as a single tear dropped from her eye. She sniffed as she looked from him to the stairs, and the blind corner. Her breath was quick and raspy as she pushed her back roughly against the door. "Please don't hurt me...I didn't mean to...do whatever your mad about." She swallowed her before looking at her forearm, which she was convinced had a three inch gash from a shattered plate. She poked at it cautiously, her mind still believing that she was with the man who beat her, and he had paused to confront her. She sobbed once before looking up. "Please," she whispered quietly, her eyes becoming soaked, eyelashes soaking up and then overflowing down her face as she blinked. "Stop. Don't hit me again..."*

Suddenly, he wrapped his arms around her tightly and pulled her close, not sure what else he could do. "Please...Calm down." He said as he held her tightly.
