"Oh? So you've heard. Yes, I didn't believe it myself at first.... but now I know better. There is indeed another blight upon us. I hear that the Grey Wardens are massing an army to face it. What? They Grey Wardens are a myth? Oh no my friend, htey're quite real. Yes, I know that all the tales are fantastical but they're true all the same. Anyways, the word from the merchants is that King Herald is recruiting. Not just soldiers mind you, every type of person you could imagine. Why would he do that? Well, the word says that he's making a fortress city. I know that it sounds crazy but if its true...... Oh don't worry I'm sure it'll be fine."

Thats what the Elder said the last time you saw him. When you saw him next, he was slain, along with almost everyone in the village. In the burned remains a post still stands, declaring a recruiment call in the nearest city, Lothering. You'll have to gather whats left and head there. Because staying here would be suicide. The darkspawn will be coming back soon, to mop up the survivors.

Alison then left the forest life, going into the town life. On her way to a different city, she was attacked, but managed to give it enough damage to run away. Once making it to Ferrelden, she fainted from fatigue, being aided by a couple in the town.

bio- nihallen had a rather complex childhood. being raised in the spire was always a bad part of his memory, but the secret practice with blood magic went from small rodents to large birds and combining spells. These were difficult to learn since he had to steal books from the library and get out with them to practice.
several years went by until he had to flee, they had evidence on a mage using blood magic and the trail lead to him.
luckely the magic of shape shifting was available to him as he used it to escape, using size as an ally.

(oh, is it the same four shapes for shapeshifting, or can we make our own list of four. was thinking spider, hawk, dolphin(just because) and fox. just for variety speaking instead of spider, bear, or swarm, then them corrupted. so i am taking out the corruption for a fourth animal.)
but want to check with you. though it would also be one of those things where you can turn into anything if you have time to study and practice that being.

hence why he is still learning how to do it. but then again trying to be an animal using blood magic from the blood of his foes is always good. you know burrow into them, drown them, rip out their groin. you name it.
and all of them can be in fact. the hawk is going to be larger (playing DnD you realize that any animal has some ability. hawk is a paragon destiny for druids) dolphins kill sharks spiders, you played the game, and foxes just because he can have a pun when he says I am a fox.
though foxes do hunt, they are predators, just sly ones.

I'm willing to give this a go so long as your can keep it plot and combat oriented and keep the drama,to a minimum. Heres my sheet. I don't intend him to be uber, and remember that his escape was only possible by making a temporary pact with a powerful demon. I don't intend to play him as an antisocial charicter, he'll have to interact with other peoples characters often, he just can't relate to others motives or reasoning. Sorry for going overboard with the bio and adding a few fields of my own, its all just exposition, but I'd like it if you would read it.

Starting items-A silver stiletto dagger, an ornate Grey and Silver bound spell book that never seems to run out of pages, and can be opened to a particular chapter or spell at a thought. The book chronicles all of the notes of the three mages that have held it, including its first owner, the last Tevinter Sorcerer-King and is being added to by Sorin, and a small pack containing food, water, and various scrolls and Magical apparatae.

Personality: Sorin is a textbook sociopath, incapable of relating to other people and limited to rational thinking unaffected by emotions or the considerations of others. Though the scope of his view is incomparable, it is halted by his limitations, he lacks the power and access a true magi would have. Also, only 19, the young Sorcerer lacks the sheer willpower and pool of mana to fulfill his potential.

Bio-Sorin had known of his Magical Talent from a very young age, but had kept his abilities hidden from his parents for many years, but his unsettling emotionlessness and intelligence greater than a child should have led them to discover his talent, and they erroneously believed he had been corrupted by a demon. Indeed, Sorin did see demons, and he spoke to them, and they taught him dangerous things, but the unshakable willpower entailed by his cold, calculating thought process left him almost immune to forced demonic possession.

At age twelve, he was taken to the tower of Magi to be tested, and was accepted into the tower, but after being discovered conducting his own magical experiments on multiple occasions over his three-year indoctrination, Sorin was scheduled to be made tranquil without even being able to go through the Harrowing.

Terrified, Angered, and Disgusted with the circles limitations, the fifteen-year-old magi coordinated and carried out his own Coup De'at, using knowledge imparted to him by and archaic tome hundreds of years old to bind and release a dozen rage demons to raise hell upon the tower, and escaped by lending his body as a host to a greater Pride demon, carefully crafting the implications of the spell to force the demon to leave his body twelve hours after hosting it.

What truly happened during the chaos he could not remember, though he awoke in a ditch on the opposite bank from the tower island, coated in blood and ash, and set away from the place as quickly as he could. Using the knowledge of magic to survive in the wild for the last four years, presumed dead and thus unhunted by the Templar order.

After feeling the ripples through the very fabric of the fade in his dreams caused by the blight, Sorin has been forced to join the one group that may be capable of getting him closer to the center of that disturbance. The Grey Wardens. Why he feels the need to reach the Archdemon is unknown by Sorin himself, only that he will have a role to play before the end.

Bio- Ageemba was born into the house Orgimarimaus by one of the leaders son's and a concubine. Beeing half-blooded to the nobility, Ageemba was granted a life inside, but at the cost of his eternal service. In order to prevent the spreading of his whore of a mothers blood, Ageemba's manhood was removed. No longer able to reproduce, Ageemba was also unable to make rash decisions or become distracted by the opposite sex, thus turning him into a reliable Guardian. And so, the dwarf was trained to throw himself into harms way, becoming the personal bodyguard to his Father. The half-blooded noble was removed from service, when he father fell to illness, dying a slow death, and leaving Ageemba with no reason to stay in House Orgimarimaus. Traveling the Deep Roads, the young warrior encountered a band of Humans engaged with Darkspawn. From stories and small readings, the half-noble knew that they were Grey Wardens, and so the Dwarf rushed to aid the battle weary humans. After wards, the remaining Wardens asked to bring the Guardian to be made a Warden as well, showing from his skill that he would be an excellent addition to the Wardens. And so, Ageemba travels towards the Keep, where a hopeful dwarf seeks to defend all of Ferelden from a foe worse than Death.

(Sorry the bio is a bit rough, I've never played a Dwarf, but there are just waaay too many Elves, and I thought I'd give the short folk a chance)

Appearance: Luc is six foot tall with Lank black hair hanging down past his neck at the back and hanging in thin strands over his eyes at the front. Luc has dark Mediterranean skin and a few small facial scars. Luc’s front teeth have been knocked out and replaced by solid gold replicas. Luc has no facial hair or tattoos.
Clothing: Luke wears a set of hardened studded leather amour with no helmet, he also wears a grey cloak around his neck.

Starting items- An ornately carved Dalish Ironbark bow with a pattern of twisting vines wrapping around the dark, almost black wood. The Tips of the bow are in the same gold trim as the detail. Luc wears a fine golden chain locket around his neck with a lock of auburn hair kept within the body of the locket. Amongst his possessions Luc greatly values a well thumbed book of poetry, the leather that binds the book is faded red drake skin and the pages are a dark beige color stained with blood and sweat. At Luc’s belt bounces a small an-assuming dagger for when range is not an option. Luc’s two front teeth were replaced with golden replica’s after a bar fight with a Fereldan man that took offense at Luc’s opinion on Mabari Warhounds.

Bio- Luc started life as an orphan in an Orlesian slum with only the abusive wardens for company, Luc grew strong through hardship growing tall with compact athletic muscles. Luc worked as an apprentice tanner until the age of nineteen when he was terminated from his employment for his affair with his Master’s wife.

After his only hopes of getting a trade had disappeared Luc’s only option was to join the Orlesian army. Luc detested physical confrontation and the feel of blood on his hands making him useless at close quarters. This was irrelevant though as Luc was on of the most promising Archers to be seen in Orlais since the defeat at River Dane.

The discipline of training was at odds with Luc’s philosophy of fine wine, song and women, Luc rebelled through growing his black hair until it hung lankly below his neck and just above his scarlet eyes, he frequently stole from his superiors and constantly vocalized his displeasure at orders. This lack of discipline lead to constant floggings from his superior officers and he was only saved from discharge by his skill.

Over the course of three years Luc developed a relationship with a swordswoman in his company. At the start of the fourth year Luc’s love became obviously with child and Luc faced the discharge and execution he had avoided for years.

Luc’s final act in the Orlesian forces was to leave in the dead of night leaving nothing but the tears of his abandoned lover. Luc fled, making his way towards fereldan paying for food and other necessities by doing freelance minor assassinations. Over the course of this time Luc’s distinctive scarlet eyes and golden front teeth made him a somewhat infamous figure in Orlais’ underworld known as the Oiled Arrow for his greasy hair and impeccable archery.

Luc’s life changed with his highest paying mark, he was to be paid seventy sovereigns to kill a traveler from Fereldan. Luc stalked the man in the shadows for an hour, the man was well equipped with good quality scale mail, a red steel longsword and a wooden kite shield. Eventually the man turned into an alley, halfway down the alley Luc loosed his shot, the man turned caught the arrow in his shield before rushing to Luc and knocking him out with his shield.

Luc awoke on a hotel room tied to a chair, the man took his time to inform Luc that he was a Grey Warden who had heard of his exploits and had set the price on his own head to draw out Luc. The Warden gave Luc the option of conscription or being turned over to the Orlesian military, Luc chose the prior and survived his joining, he has lived the rest of his life as a dutiful Grey Warden.

but yeah i just have to copy them into dictinoary.com only due to the fact i only get a 30 day trail of microsoft works on this I beleive so would rather save it for when i really need it. that as well as get used to the keyboard. don't worry I will be looking more back in my posts.

If you use Mozilla Firefox, it gives you free spellcheck. And if you want to seem about twice as professional, take the time to capitalize you I's, rather than just leave them as "i". I might just be nitpicky, but I prefer when the people I RP with make an effort to write with a sophistication befitting the character.

If you don't know/use a word, either learn the spelling or choose an alternative word that you can spell right, rather than more or less trying to "Fake" a wider vocabulary.

my mistake is, i let go of shift fractions of a second before hitting the letter so that is kind of a thing i have to get used to fixing.

Personality: Strong-willed and determined to do what's right, Aelia never gives up in a tight situation. Her mind set is to protect anyone important to her and fight until her last breath. Sometimes her promises have to be broken to try to change the outcome of a situation. Aelia also is kind at heart and serious at times, but she does try to break the tension and calm others' spirits.

Origin Story: Born in the group of Apostate witches who are known as the Witch of the Wilds, Aelia was taught everything the witches could give her because of her significance. The Korcari Wilds is a dangerous place without knowing how to navigate it, and its located in the south-eastern part of Ferelden. A group of Orlaisean witches traveled to the famous witches' village bringing with them a woman of the same race, but with bright ice-blue eyes. They told the Witch of the Wilds this woman would give birth soon, but to a child without a father.

Shocked and intrigued, the leader of the Witch of the Wilds wanted this child as her apprentice. Such a child would grow up with great power, and the leader knew herself, that this child would also help assist stopping the Blight she knew was coming. The Orlaisean woman one day collapsed and fell into labor. The Apostates did everything in their power to save the woman, but she died giving birth to Aelia. The baby was born without a cry, without a word, but with black hair and her eyes were the same icy-blue as the mother's, who's eyes were originally brown. The Orlaisean witches then left the child to the leader of the Wilds, afraid little Aelia would bring bad luck and dark omens of the Blight. Unafraid, the leader acted as Aelia's mentor and adoptive mother.

As a few years passed, Aelia began her training as a Witch where she learned arcane magics of the witch and Mage magic. One of the most important parts of her training was her learning the magic of a shape shifter. Her mentor and few witches were the only ones who have mastered it, but they knew Aelia could as well. Learning charms and curses on the side, she spent the first twelve years of her life training to be a shape-shifter. It was at eight she managed to shift into a leopard or sorts. Pleased, the mentor knew she could achieve so much more now and many other forms. In just four years, Aelia could shift into not only a wildcat, but a spider, bear, and a raven.

The reason many called her the Raven witch, is because when the witches were attacked by rogue thieves or traveled to different towns for supplies and were attacked, Aelia would shift into a raven and stalk her prey. She'd fly down and shift into a human again stabbing her victims in back or chest. Cursing enemies or using magic to make everything dark, because for some reason she could see perfectly in pitch black. Aelia was the Witch of the Wilds' secret weapon. Others' heard of her throughout land, even the Grey Warden became intrigued.

A Grey Warden name Titus along with his apprentice, Valerius, visited the Korcari Wilds in search of knew additions to the Wardens, and they found the fifteen year old Aelia. Her mentor didn't want her to join, she wanted Aelia to remain the weapon used by the Witch of the Wilds, but Aelia grew tired of it. All she ever did was kill and steal for the Apostates. If she could help others and save more lives, she wanted to become a Grey Warden. Sneaking out at night, Aelia took her most prized possessions and joined Titus and Valerius. The next ten years were spent training and working to become a Grey Warden to fight against the Blight. Aelia managed to become a high ranking Mage under the Wardens, but decided to leave for two years to find her own way. Valerius was rather displeased with this, because they had become so close since they found her. Although saddened, Aelia knew this had to be done, so she could better understand her existence. She returns when a peak in the Darkspawn appears threatening. That, and she misses those she became close to in the Grey Wardens.

Personality: a driven and relentless individual both in life and in combat. He will go out of his way to help those in need, but only if it serves the greater good in the long run. He will not waste time to pull a kitten out of a tree unless doing so will convince a Teyrn or Arl to fight for him. Has a great disdain for politics and has no patience for them or people involved in them. Completely devoted to his order and to those within the order. Never makes empty promises, and has the mule-ish stubbornness to drive himself to fulfill any promise he has made and refuse to admit defeat, even when it is clear and present that the odds are stacked against him. He could face the Blight alone and he would still initiate the charge.

Bio-The son of an Arl in a walled city on the slope of the great Dragon's Peak, Valerius grew up with modest comfort. In the current civil unrest of the time, skirmishes and small battles were common and the smell of rotting flesh was a scent that all became accustomed to. At a young age, Valerius was taught to defend himself by his father and elder brother. The young Valerius showed an affinity for the synchronous harmony between sword and shield.

Valerius' father had been keeping the city safe through a series of alliances with other neighboring Banns. Little did Arl Alaric know that his allies were scheming behind his back. One day, when Valerius was around eighteen years old, a Grey Warden by the name of Titus visited their city in hopes of finding promising recruits among the Knights. Arl Alaric took this as a chance to showboat to the Grey Warden, leading a march through the dense forest that tangles the slopes of Dragon's Peak with his sons and finest soldiers in tow.

The Arl's allies had planted spies among the serfs in the castle, and planted an ambush accordingly. In their vanity, the Banns and Arls that had once been allied to Arl Alaric lead their own troops as well, hoping to personally gain the renown for slaying one of the most powerful Arls in the region. The comabt that ensued was far from clean. Titus, the Grey Warden, took up arms with Arl Alaric's men, happening to be shoulder-to-shoulder with the Arl's second-eldest son Valerius. Titus was not an easy Warden to impress, but he was very impressed with the young man's combat prowess and steady coldness under pressure. Even as they young man watched his closest friends, even his own brother and father die at the hands of those once thought allies and friends - men who had brought Valerius gifts at his birthdays - Valerius remained outwardly emotional as a boulder. Inside, he was a burning hearth of sorrow and hate. The death around him fed his strength, every drop of blood that he lost fueled the fire in his belly. Still, even with this hatred and desire for blood and lust for vengeance, Valerius committed himself to his duty first. He forced himself to return to his father's city instead of chasing after the killers.

Valerius arrived to see his beloved home aflame. Titus, who had been fighting with the boy the entire time, watched in silence, seeing the dark energy seep from the boy's very soul in to his muscle. The boy was a Reaver. Valerius charged through the fire, flames and smoke that suffocated his beloved home, killing all those who drew steel against him. The young man's pristine clothes of white silk were now stained red and completely sodden with blood. Valerius hacked and slashed his way in to his families castle to see his father's closest ally and dearest friend pull a dagger from the ribs of his violated younger sister, dropping her limp body next to the similarly violated body of his mother and the gutted corpse of his younger brother. Even his sister-in-law and his nephew and niece lay on the floor, their blood seeping into the wooden floorboard.

The last of the Alaric family charged at the man that had succeeded in killing Valerius' entire family. Blades clashed again and again, they seemed to be equally matched, but Titus and Valerius could tell that the traitorous scum, Arl Rahl, was slowly losing. The Arl recieved a timely rescue from his soldiers; a crossbow bolt finding its way in to Valerius' ribs, giving Arl Rahl a large enough opening to strike. Valerius was able to evade the blow, mostly. The sword cut deep in to Valerius's face, leaving a pale scar over his nose and face.

Once Rahl retreated, leaving the wounded Valerius to die, Titus slung the young man over his shoulder and spirited Valerius away to safety. When Valerius came to, the bolt was removed from his side and the wound on his face was already a scar. Titus made the offer to be a Grey Warden to Valerius, saying that the boy far exceeded the expectations that Titus had for anyone in this region of Ferelden. Valerius accepted and joined the ranks of the Grey Wardens. When he entered the Wardens, however, Valerius recieved a runic tattoo on the right side of his face that is meant to suppress his powers as a Reaver.

When Titus officially took Valerius as his apprentice, the Senior Captain would take Valerius with him on excursions to fight random Darkspawn raids or to recruit members for the ranks of the Wardens. One such excursion took Titus and Valerius through the Kochari Wilds, where they stumbled upon a small village of Apostates. Out of all of the powerful witches there, one in particular caught the eyes of the Grey Wardens, though on some varying reasons. A girl with raven black locks of hair and icy blue eyes stood out amongst the rest. Being a Templar once, Titus could sense powerful magic, and this girl, Aelia, was throbbing with it.

Taking the girl from her tribe, with her consent, of course, Titus gave Valerius the responsibility to teach the girl of the Wardens' history and to teach her proper sword forms. They became close friends through the years. When it came time for Aelia to do to Joining, Valerius was the Warden that entered the mountains with her and the other recruits of her class. Overseeing them as they collected the vails of Darkspawn blood and retrieved a golden tile from the abandoned temple at the summit of the tallest mountain.

When Aerila decided to leave and travel the world, Valerius voiced his disapproval and displeasure, but that would not stop her. He chided himself for being foolish and entertaining such fancies and hardened himself even further. The glibness and joy a young stallion such as Valerius should have was absent, replaced with the cold and hard vigil of a soldier who knew only soldiering.

Leerali born to a small group of mountain dwelling dwarfs; lost her mother shortly after birth. Her father raised her best he could until age seventeen until she truly gave in to the simple fact that there was more to see, more to experience then just the place she was raised in. Against her fathers wishes she traveled further each day until one day she was called back to find Melthin ill. Several months after his death she felt the desire to travel once more, unable to hold back from the prospect of truly living she left for good and now roams where ever she tends to see things holding interest. Not one to pass up working for cheap, she can often be seen roaming ruins in the hopes of finding that one great thing that can bring luck and or simply enough coin for a few mugs of ale.( *More to come as character progresses)
