Below is a list of guarantees and promises that you will encounter during your stay on RPA. By registering to this forum you are in fact agreeing to this post and everything else listed in the rules section (http://role-player.net/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=3). You will be held responsible to everything posted in this forum, regardless of whether you choose to read it or not.
RPA is a community for roleplaying and we promise to keep the main focus of the forum on just that. Every week the staff of this community participates in many activities toward the success and enjoyment of that hobby. Regardless of whether you are a new or older member, we attempt to provide many different services toward the success of the many different roleplaying campaigns that are posted by the members. This is the service we provide for our members.
Whether it is a mass email or a community highlight, every week the staff of this forum goes out of their way to help unite the forum in all the amazing role-plays that are posted on a weekly basis. Roleplay Adventures does not take in any revenue from its members or advertisers, so the administrators and moderators, while often referred to as "staff," work on a strictly volunteer basis. They are not paid any salaries, commissions, or any other moneys for the work they do. However we pay money, also on a volunteer basis, from our pockets for trafficking and exposure on Google AdWords (https://adwords.google.com), Hostmonster, and various other services. This is just how amazingly dedicated we are to the services we provide for the focus of this forum.
However Roleplay Adventures is not and will never be a place to advertise other online communities. Those who come here with the sole intent of advertising other communities by private message and/or public posting on the forum, or those with the intent of collecting our member's contact information to advertise over instant messenger and/or email will be IP banned and have their account deleted. We do not appreciate you "reaping" the benefits of our hard work and dedication to this community. (As an example: You wouldn’t try to advertise another store in Wal-Mart or outside Wal-Mart’s front doors and you would be held liable for your actions on Wal-Mart’s property. The same applies for this forum.) There is NO excuse for you advertising in or around our site, so take our advise and go learn about being a good forum owner on Admin Zone (http://www.theadminzone.com/).
We are a just a role-playing site and nothing else. If you have come here to role-play, then we will welcome you with open arms. We work hard for this community and only this community.
At times the staff of RPA need to make decisions that is often times not totally understood by the members of RPA. Often times those decisions may not be popular with some members of RPA. It is during those times that the members of RPA must trust in the decision making capabilities of the staff and also trust that the staff makes all decisions for the betterment of the forums and always with the forums best interest at heart.
The moderators will always be happy to explain a decision to any member, but all staff decisions are final. Ignoring that fact and trying to argue with staff will only lend way to further drama that is not warranted nor is it appreciated by the staff or members of this forum. Arguing will result in disciplinary action and/or banning.
In conclusion, please remember that the rules of RPA are in place to make all of the members’ time here an enjoyable and pleasant experience free of drama and remember that you are responsible for reading all of RPA’s rules.
We promise to make your experience here enjoyable and we guarantee that we will do everything within our power to keep the forums a pleasant place for everyone to enjoy.
