Forum Upgrade and Archive
Welcome to the new and improved Roleplay Adventures. The forum is now running with new board software. The result is countless improvements along with every feature of the old software. The only thing you have to do to enjoy these awesome additions to RPA is re-register to the forum. Right now things may look slightly different or be a little unfamiliar but this upgrade is in no way a negative thing.
Internet Explorer users can now access the forums
One of the main reasons the forum has been upgraded is to make the forum more friendly for users of Internet Explorer. Many members sent us questions and concerns regarding errors they were experiencing. Some users were having difficulty using the private message system because of glitches with the old board software, others experienced glitches where the quick reply box did not respond and they lost entire posts.
Zetaboards could not offer any solutions to the countless support tickets we sent them. They told us only that this was happening because members were accessing the forum using Internet Explorer as their web browser. Upgrading or changing browsers should not have to be anyone’s only option. With this new software all of those errors are a thing of the past and everyone, regardless of their web browser is accommodated.
Need a few reasons to register to the newly upgraded forum? There are TONS!
Here are some of the staff’s favorites:
-No more glitches!
-No need to upgrade or change your web browser!
-A working search function!
-Private message tracking!
-Picture albums!
-A new posts feature that allows you to view threads based on newest posts rather than by category and sections.
-A detailed calendar!
-Personal friends list - An organized way to see if your friends are online and send them messages.
-Emoticons - You no longer need a space to either side of emote codes, even in the center of a sentence.
-Styles- New customized skins and themes... members now have unlimited options.
-Visitor messages – The option to leave comments in other member profiles.
-Customizable blogs!
-Rich text is available for quick replies. No need to memorize BBcoding!
We are happy to have turned our corner of the internet into a forum with more fun features for its members and more importantly we are proud to present everyone with a properly functioning forum.
The Archives
All of the information the board lost in the upgrade has been archived. For info on where to access those archives, please see this thread. (http://role-player.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9095) If there are any spiffy new features that were on the old board, but lacking on this one, the administration team will be more than happy to concider moving it over. Just send a courteous and polite message to our administrative staff. It should be noted that this is a privilege and that the administration team is not required to fetch information for anyone who asks nor can we guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.
This upgrade is sure to continually impress members of this community willing to give it the chance to do so. The board now has countless new features for everyone on role-player.net, and limitless possibilities for customization of every individual experience. The staff is eager to share the new benefits of vBulletin with all of you.
The hard working members of the RPA staff, who have been at work day and night to make this upgrade comfortable, all deserve a special thanks for making this all possible.
