Ever since the crash, everything has changed.
Life from the perspective of a wheelchair has tipped my life upside down.
Every night I can recall the accident in my mind.
The rain.
The car sliding.
Hitting the embankment.
The cracking of the tree.
Glass shattering as the car crumpled around me.
The tree falling and crushing the roof.
And most of all. The one thing I said to myself.
It's all over.

It's been a month since the accident.
I don't know when I'll be able to walk again.
I was taken to look at the car again. Everyone I know wants it to be destroyed.
I don't.
I will fix you.
I promise.



That is why I have returned here. To distract myself from reality. To be happy, if only for a short moment.

I miss this place.

Thanks for mentioning smoking this will now set me off on my rant. If I have a smoke I must be old enough to buy the pack. But no this lady believes otherwise. I have been smoking for a longggggg time. So this is how it goes:
MD was walking to her favorite bakery with her two besties. She stops to finish her cig chatting away to her friends on the busy sidewalk of her town when this lady who comes out a store comes up to her and says: "How old are you?" MD response with her age which is old enough to buy cigs in her state. The lady then says AND MD QUOTES "You three ladies are so beautiful. Smoking will just cause your whole face to wrinkle."
