What is RPA?

Roleplay Adventures is an online community dedicated primarily to text-based roleplaying. We have a wide variety of roleplays, covering just about every genre, and new and original ones keep popping up all the time. In addition to the great variety of themes, we allow a lot of freedom in roleplaying: here you think your way, write your way, and play your way. We won't tell you what to post. We have some experienced and talented roleplayers who will present a good challenge to those of you who are as experienced and talented as them, and we've got a tutorial section full of tips and tricks so less experienced roleplayers can become better and learn; however, we'd like to stress that we're not an elitist forum in the least bit and even our most experienced writers enjoy roleplaying with relatively new writers. Register now and we'll show you why we're better than every other roleplaying site you've visited.

There is something for everyone on this community, but if you think otherwise please feel free to contact us at roleplay@role-player.net or by sending a private message to any staff member. We hope to see you online soon!

» Roleplay of the week

It's 2089, and there's an ancient, abandoned city, where not every inch of it is explored, but not every inch uninhabited. The homeless who linger there call it Greymore. Everything is tinted with strangely beautiful shades of black or blue, barrels set alight, people cooking rat meat over them and selling them for whatever trinkets they need. Tall, tight buildings make for claustrophobic alleyways and unavoidable encounters- but some other more dignified beings relish in the filth of the place. Greymore demons...could do much better. Their species, demons in general, have the job of ridding sinful humans and eating their souls from their dimension above-but the ones on the planet are just as homeless as the humans they were meant to ridicule. Without the ability to touch life, like ghosts, they're helpless.

Life goes on with the two creatures coexisting until a cross-species war breaks out around the planet. It's from an immense wave of aggressive, deformed demons, unable to use their harvesting magic, but able to attack living things. Blindly killing for souls they can't eat, this behavior has never been seen before. Greymore takes no notice, hiding away from civilization, but the demon's realm is also starving. The human population is shriveling and the mutated demons being cast to the ground are in unnatural numbers. Helpless, the realm decides to leak enchantments to the most peaceful place on Earth- Greymore. Some may take the magic and the hint, and leave the city to harbor the fight. Some may wait for the war to reach them. And some may be a part of the war themselves.

Currently, at the start of roleplay, the enchantments are leaked in Greymore, but demons are yet to find them. All characters must be in the city at first.

Angels among Greymore

You may have once been a nimble blackbuck that ran in a herd, escaping the many panthers, lions, wolves and especially the tigers as your kin fell prey to the mighty predatory beasts. You could've been a humble mongoose that battled the many cobras among other reviled serpents. Maybe you move in the calm waters as a dim-witted but dangerous mugger crocodile waiting for any cub or fawn to stray too far from it's people.

Regardless of what you are, you're in a dire situation. On a dry season, a dry season that so dry nearly all the beasts in the jungle were turned to desperation, a great burning happened. Lightning had struck and the red flower consumed much of the lands, from the arid grasslands to mighty rainforests.

Nearly everything green vanished and the beasts of the jungle were forced to either fight or unite to avoid starvation or dehydration. Everything from the smallest mouse to the largest rhinoceros has been dealt a heavy blow and with Hathi and most of the other elephants seemingly missing, the jungle has been thrown into even more chaos.
