Kyo awoke from his usual four hours sleep at roughly 6 a.m. and began his daily routine of shower, coffee, breakfast, and coffee.
With the progress he had been making, he found it difficult to sleep; he didn't want to be away from the lab for too long, and his time was already divided with the Cloning experiments and the Chemistry research that he used as a front. It was a simple operation. He had bought his own office block and everything above ground level was Yumi Sciences Chemistry Research, where he had students carrying out their researches, and he rented out the equipment to them. However, accessible by only Kyo and Eve's fingerprint, the basement floors were where the real magic happened. It was only two floors down, and if Kyo didn't have to hide it, he'd have constructed a bigger facility out of the city. Then again, he also didn't have the funding for that.

Kyo had one clone chamber which he had to construct from his own blueprints. He couldn't afford to get anyone else involved on the project.
As such, it wasn't perfect, it took about a full two years to actually grow and birth Eve due to power limitations on the building. He had spent a couple of years fully developing the DNA, but now that it was all done he had a template he could work from. Kyo wanted to speed the process up though, and even release a few into society to see how they all reacted.

His research, was a taboo in the country though, and illegal to boot. He probably would have been arrested and jailed for life.
He slept at the office; he had made two bedrooms and a sort of communal living area for him and Eve. With being in the city, food, and things one would need were only a short trip. Kyo hated being away from the labs, and his time was valuable to say the least.

Richard had turned up to the offices in response to a job opportunity that Sam had forced his arm into. It seemed incredibly boring; going to a Chemistry lab to investigate strange electric activity. He guessed it was a student just running something which required a lot of power. As he walked into the office wearing his uniform. He walked around to Sam's office and opened her door after giving a brief knock.

Seeing her there, he closed the door behind him as if he were trying to be secretive.
"Sam, come on, let the interns carry out this kind of thing, I mean a science lab with unusual electrical activity?" He kept his voice quite, knowing if the bosses heard, he'd probably get a slap on the wrist, and he didn't need any more of them.

"There's a double homicide that looks juicy." He tried his best to make her switch the jobs around. "You know you want to get to the bottom of this one, put them behind bars, a bit of justice dealt and we all go home with a happy smile knowing we've done a good deed." Richard sugar coated it.

Eve walked out of her room rubbing her eyes wishing Kyo would sleep a little longer knowing that would never happen she went to the kitchen and started cooking Kyo and herself some breakfast looking over her shoulder at him "I wish you would sleep more than 4 hours at a time it is not good for your health" she sad as she is cooking putting the food on two plates she puts one in front of him the food is nothing fancy just eggs and toast and she didn't even put any hotsace in it this time opting to be nice to Kyo.




Sam looked at Richard "in sorry but we are going to the lab and why is finding out why so much electricity is being used their not a good deed they might be using it for something weird or illegal "crossing her arms and leaning back in her chair waiting for her answer and knowing he is not thrilled about the job.

Kyo picked up his coffee and sipped at it, "There are studies that show that people who sleep the recommended eight hours don't live as long as those who get four to six." Kyo pointed it out to her.
"Thanks for the breakfast, Eve, how are you feeling today?" A question he'd always ask, wanting to keep an eye on his very first experiment. "How did you sleep?" He added, Kyo would have written all of her answers down to log them, however, he didn't forget things, his mind was permanently recording.

Richard sighed and leaned against her door. "Fine, let's do it your way, but I can tell you all the answers we are going to get, and without a search warrant we can't snoop unless we're given permission." He advised her, then again, he never really obeyed that logic. Richard would have snooped even if there was a huge sign saying not to do it on pain of death.

Yawning eve smiled at Kyo "in fine just like any other day and I sleeped ok I just wish you would take better care of your self now eat you got work to do."eve started to eat thanking about all the work ahead of them.



Giving Richard a cocky smile "that is why I'm hoping you will do what you best at being a snoop."then pulls out a fail to give to him "hear is everything you need to know so get ready to go"

Kyo gave a stretch and ate nodding. "That's all good then." He told her. "We still need to put throttles on the chamber, I've a few ideas, but it all effects the growth time. "I could pump it up to a generator of some sort but I don't think it would run solely off it. Ideally I can make something within the facility once I have the money like an oil generator or something, a big one so I don't have to rely on the city's grid." He told her as he ate.
Once he was done he poured himself another coffee. "It's going to be great when I can get that facility up and running, but we need money. Any ideas other than robbing a bank or winning the lottery?" He asked Eve.

Richard gave her a wink looking at the file "I'll read it as we go there." as he walked but not seeing anything too out of the ordinary. "He's just a scientist, running a Chemistry Lab. The worse thing they can be doing in there is cooking up some narcotics or something." Richard guessed, with a sigh, he knew it was going to be a boring case as he stepped into the car. "The electricity spikes during the day and at night it simmers down." He shrugged.
He looked up at the sun and threw on some sunglasses. "Quite warm today." He noted to Sam with a smile; Richard loved warm weather.

Eve started cleaning up then snapped her fingers "I got it what about a solar powered generater and we sell drugs for money"just imaging Kyo trying to sell drugs was threatening to make her giggle then she had to teas Kyo a bit "or we could whor you out on the street corner"by this time she was laughing.



Sam nodded and nugged Richard playfully "this dose not mean you can run off to enjoy it we have work to do" and keeped walking.

Kyo looked at her with a raised eyebrow, a small smile peeking at the corner of his lips.
"I wouldn't bring in that much, I could whore you out, because you are perfect." He told her in response, but his cheeks reddening a bit, but shook his head suddenly. "Why do you make me think about these things, for a second I thought you were serious." He told her quite firmly. "Yeah, I could cook up some good meth here, then again, it'd probably be easier to sell Viagra." He told her bluntly as if almost considering it; it was legal, didn't cost too much to make, and it would make a half decent profit, then his face reddened more, slightly embarrassed, talking about viagra.


Richard gave her a pout. "Awh please, I'd love to go and by some ice cream." He told her mimicking the voice of a child. "I'll be a good boy I promise." He added before laughing. "We'll get this done in under an hour, then I'll treat you to some ice cream Sam, maybe then you'll regret not taking on the double homicide job, which would have taken hours!" He chuckled

Still giggling a bit she looked at kyo "because if I didn't get you to think of other stuff then work you would have a boring life and to sell Viagra you would actually half to talk to someone other than me and find a test subject to try your first batch on"eve sad in matter of fact tone as she went back to cleaning up from breakfast.


Trying not to laugh at Richard,Sam looked away "ok lets make a deal we get there and you do be a good boy by being you ill let you take me for ice cream then ill take you out for a drink how does that sound?"she asked having a feeling that there was more going on than what it seems.

Kyo chuckled and nodded, shaking his head a little, but gave into the mirth of it all.
"This is also true, I'm not a fan of other people." He stated and waited by the elevator for her.
"Let's see what the students are up to, I might even take some of them in if their research proves anything useful." He shrugged, of course he wouldn't tell them about the genetics lab.

Richard chuckled and nodded. "You've got yourself a deal." He grinned at her. "You have something personal against him?" He asked her curiously. "Was Mr. Yumi a long lost lover of some sort." Richard joked as they pulled up outside the building. "You know that would be a conflict of interest." He told her, grinning from ear to ear, stepping out of the car and stretching.

Eve went and stood by kyo and pushing the button looking at him with eyes of worry "you really wouldn't whor me out would you"eve knew it was silly to ask but filling it necessary to ask.the door to the elevator opened and she walked in standing with her back to the wall thinking a small smirk apered on her face normal it meant a day off teasing for Kyo "we could give the students Viagra and watch what happens"she sad with mischief in her voice.



Looking at Richard with slight irritation "NO!! Its nothing like that I don't even know the guy I just have a gut filling"its true she has never personally meet him but she has read about him in the newspaper.
