Rory rubbed his temple. "I know, Julian... I'm saying that the history isn't in their system. As if it got hacked or something. I'm going to look through all of their paper records tomorrow to find some clues. You don't have to come down here unless you feel like you have to. But I got it covered. We're looking for some Venom Snake guy and I'll be returning to the bank tomorrow to go through their files. We need to also keep an eye out for a big account opening elsewhere because with this bank unavailable to our friend, he will have to go to another bank."
-
Julian's eyes narrowed when Rory said the bank might have been hacked. Bad move, my man, he thought to himself as he listened to Rory. "...Very well. Will you do me a favour, Rory? I'm going to send you a little program, please run it on the bank's computer when you get back there. It'll give me remote access to their system."
-
Rory went silent on the other end for a bit. "Julian... What you're asking me to do is highly illegal and a major breach in privacy..." He said softly.
-
Julian rubbed his temple. "No, don't worry, I'll include a terms and conditions agreement and everything. It's just temporary. If they've been hacked I need to find out who did it "
-
Rory paused again. "It better be temporary..." He muttered. "Just send it and I'll do it tomorrow. This better be worth it, Haynes."
-
"It'll be fine. I promise. You won't regret this."
-
"I better not regret it. Let's just hope this little virus of your works... and i certainly don't want to know how you got it." He sighed, rubbing his temple. "Anyways, any leads on your end that I should keep in mind or do all of our hopes ride on what I find here?"
-
"I'm trying to trace this other e-mail address, but I'm pretty sure it's been deleted. I'm creating a profile for our killer based on the correspondence from Tim... But it doesn't look great. I haven't given up hope on cracking the code, but what you find out is definitely the best lead we have. And for the record, it's not a virus, it's perfectly legal. Trust me."
-
"Alright. I wish you luck Julian. And for the record on my part, I do trust you. I also know that you are relentless and won't stop until we have this man arrested. I just don't want you getting in trouble or having any piece of evidence that we have be rendered unusable... Anyways, I have a couple of more things to go through before the morning. We'll get this guy. Have a good night, Julian."
-
"Thank you, Rory. Sleep well. You'll find my e-mail in the morning." He hung up and turned back to his laptop to start working on the progam.
