tears for what she never truly had.

Was it really over?

Even their guests had lost hope.

A wedding without an audience.
A marriage without a groom.

It wouldn’t do, not at all. She swore on heart and womb
that she would find people to watch her ceremony.

By then, her soul mate would have appeared;
he would be there, waiting for her with open arms.
