[Enigma]

A Seed Ark, a massive generation ship thundering silently through space has received reports from one of its probe that there is a nearby world suitable for colonization. It alters its course for the identified world.

Several seed pods are activated. Each "pod" is a specialized lander that contains gestational pods - artificial wombs that can thaw frozen embryos and bring them to full term - and beyond. By the time the Seed Ark is close enough to launch its seed pods, a generation of young colonists and livestock born and raised in the pods are ready to disembark. To help them, each pod contains an AI known as "Mother", as well as tools and supplies.

What "Father", the Seek Ark's primary AI, does not know is the targeted world has several ancient ruins of an alien civilization, mostly reclaimed by nature. Whatever intelligent life that once lived here has long since disappeared - but artifacts remain.

I probably should have mentioned that each pod was built by a different vendor. While it's hard to tell the pods apart from the outside (except by the number), the interior arrangement, equipment and secondary directives can be very different.

And where the pods land can be very different environments too. While most should shoot for the temperate zone, some may have other considerations.

Each colony on this world will be different.
