Dark Secrets [OOC]

Scientists have been trying to give people the abilities of animals, from speed, flight, eyesight, and everything else. But on July 8, 1947 during the Roswell UFO Incident, there was an escape from the labs in North Carolina. Most everyone escaped. Now, these people not only have an animal ability but a longer life span due to some injections that were made, so that their experiments would stay around longer. This injection can make them last for about 200 years if they're not killed before then. The people-animals can have kids who also inherit an animal ability, whether it be the same one, or one completely different.

Scientists have also made a small device that detects and sets of an alarm that goes off when an ability is first 'opened' to the world. For example, if the person has wings, each time they open their wings completely off, a small signal is sent out showing their location. Luckily, overtime, the people have figured out a way to block the signal within a ten mile radius from the base.

Each year they all gather in a specific spot up in the Teton Mountain range, to get together to see who has fallen out of the pack, who is still in, and meet the newer people. Most of the people-animals live in this cave, which is basically a giant hole in the ground large enough to hold an entire colony of people, and space for those with wings to do a bit of flying around.

At this point in time though, the time is drawing nearer to gather together. Especially with the new breakout of animal-people who don't know the rules of how to live in the new enviroment. And the scientist are hot on their tail. Any human caught with these animal/people will be killed, and the animal-person will be taken back to the labs.

Thats really broad I know, but I can't seem to put together words that describe the story. So hopefully this is understood, and if not just ask whatever questions that aren't answered in the short plot and I'll do my best to answer them ^^;

Age: 19
Gender: Female
History: Her father was a scientist so she grew up around the people who were being experimented on and grew to like them. Then her father betrayed her by him giving her up to be experimented on. She has little trust in new people, but trusts those who have also escaped with her.
Family: Father, but she doesn't consider him one. and those she escaped with.
Personality: do-it-yourself kind of girl, rarely gets help from others, but loves to be around her friends.
Animal Ability: Camoflouge (Chameleon) also claws that replace her nails when she needs to climb


Name: Richard
Age: 89 (looks 20)
Gender: Male
History: Was in the first escape back in '47 and has been living at the colony since. Can't remember anything but the lab and the colony.
Family: None just the colony
Personality: Serious, not to be taken lightly, always willing to help, more of a leader
Animal ability: very much like a Lion, but can be loud, and fast when it comes to running

I think I'll try it, this will be my first so try and forgive any mistakes.
Name: Nelaroth
Age: 25
Gender: male
History: he is one of the most recent additions to the colony, of the group he escaped with, he was the only one to be found by other Animal-humans (We're going to need a more streamlined name for them). He was one of the test subjects the doctors used Wolf DNA on to make a better soldier, but he was a bad choice for a soldier, he refused to take orders so they physically abused him to try and break him.
Family: He considers the colony to be his family, but other then that none at all.
Personality: While on the surface he's very loud and smart mouthy, he's quite a trust worthy guy, but he's still trying to convince the leaders of the colony of that. He's a pretty gentle guy, but he's likely to kill any human he sees on the spot, he'll probably never forgive them for what the scientists did to him and the others.
Animal Abilities: the Wolf DNA gave him enhanced speed, strength and senses, and if provoked he can make himself look very wolfish with a more protruding snout and getting hairier.

Hahaha, yeah, I'm working on a name for both the animal-people and the scientist group. So if you've got an idea I can consider it...though I think I have a couple and will put it in the original post so it can be seen.

Sounds fun, this is my first, so it might be rough.

NAME: BladeRunner
AGE: 21
GENDER: Male
HISTORY: A long time veteran to the colony, BladeRunner has made it his goal to help others like him escape from Laboratories and Scientists acrossed the world. After the escape from the scientists, BladeRunner created a group of mercenary Animal-People for hire. He prefers bladed weapons, and carries to hand and a half swords.
FAMILY?: He considers the colony to be his only family.
PERSONALITY: He believes that the only way to be safe from the scientists is to fight them head on. Obviously, this has caused some minor issues with the Colony in the past.
ANIMAL ABILITY: Enhanced speed of a hummingbird.

NAME: Lance Ardos
AGE: 72 (looks 28)
GENDER: M
HISTORY: Lance Grew up in a small town, and was usually a laid-back student. When He became a teacher He continued to be cool, but when He was finished with his first year, his class was removed from the school and he was out of a job. The Lab was where he decided to go, not knowing where else to go. After the experiments and his escape, he went into hiding as a simple sage. He has done well to remain hidden.
FAMILY?: His biological Family has all but passed away. He considers the lost that confide in him to be his family. He prefers to be addressed by Sage Euler (coming from the German word for Owl, Eule). The people he saves, believe him to be an angel sent from God.
PERSONALITY: He is A kind person and it is hard to anger him. He will take in anyone who is lost on their road in life, and he will foster them until they can leave the nest again, so to speak. He is light-hearted and loves to tell jokes.
ANIMAL ABILITY:Enhanced Intelligence, Owl. (wings included)

AGE: 54 (21)
GENDER: Male
HISTORYamian escaped with his girlfriend and they have lived together, secluded for quite a while. He later married said girlfriend and they had one child. Only days after his childs birth, his wife died and he was left taking care of the little girl. It didn't bug him though, she is his pride and joy. And after several years of solitude, he decided it was time to bring her to a place where more of their kind reside.
FAMILY?: Clarice Vicnaire
PERSONALITY: Damian has a very laid-back personality. He loves to play with children, likes practical jokes, and is the first to break tension. He does however, have a very serious side. If anyone threatens his daughter, he would kill (or at least severely punish) whomever did.
ANIMAL ABILITY: He can fly long distances without tiring, can see for 2.72 miles. (Raven)


NAME: Clarice Vicnaire
AGE: 8
GENDER: Femme'
HISTORY: Clarice is a young child who lost her mother before she ever knew her. Her father always told her great stories about the woman she would never know but she absolutely adores her father. She is just growing into her animal abilities but they are slightly mixed, seeing as though her father was a raven and her mother a black leopard. She was more than thrilled when only 4 months earlier, they moved to the little safe haven.
FAMILY?: Damian Vicnaire
PERSONALITY: Clarice is quite shy and doesn't stick up for herself. She keeps to herself for the most part, the only exception being her father and a few people that have grown close to her. She takes things as they come, not seeming to be fazed by the slightest of things which obviously makes her a danger magnet.
ANIMAL ABILITY: She has black cat ears, a black tail, very cat-like eyes, and small, black almost furry wings. She hasn't really grown into any of her abilities other than nightvision. (Raven/Black Leopard mix)
