I would have to respectfully disagree.

The Hood has always been a character that has shunned leadership roles. At his best, he's a hero, and at his worst, he's a mercenary. If a leadership role was asked of him, provided anybody would actually know him as Jason Todd and not Red Hood (and lets face it, only the Batman and Joker are ever the ones to figure out that identity, and they usually find out because Todd all but tells them), and thus know of his late-teen to adulthood.

Nightwing, as an adult, probably wouldn't fit well with the teen mystique, but you said so yourself that Jason Tood could very well be in his late teens in this particular RP. But as I said, for someone to even know that would take a ridiculous amount of detective work, and the only people who could possibly do it from the canon characters available are Robin (who's captured), and Deathstroke/Slade (who is indisposed of at the moment). I say this because I'm unsure of the detective abilities of the created characters at the moment. As far as these villains know, Todd could just be an older (though not adult aged) villain wearing a mask and choosing not to reveal himself.

Just because he is older does not necessarily mean he would take a leadership role other than 'Watch the brat that replaced me'.

There are people fifteen years older than our boss that work with me and there are people 2-5 older than I am that I'm "in charge" of. Plus, there is the simple question: Would the said person even want the leadership role, given that it brings in added responsibility no matter the situation.

You asked to use Jason Todd as Red Hood, a individual that kills anyone he doesn't want around...thus making him a "bad guy" due to killing, just like The Punisher (a bad guy due to killing)....Nightwing would be a "playable character" if Jason Todd entered the Rp due to the fact he too knows who Red Hood is due to helping Batman, as does the Tim Drake, Green Arrow, Onyx, Oracle/Batgirl, and a few others....

I said his possible age due to the timeset of Teen Titans since it was made after Todd became the Red Hood....Also, Jason Todd comes back as Red Hood as a adult in the comics, and the movie....In another story arc, he takes on a side-kick (named Scarlet) killing hero's, villian's, police, and fights Nightwing (a personal vendetta) so he does take on a leadership role due to making a team of "anti-heros" a bit later....

If you are allowed to play Red Hood/Jason Todd, I'd like to make a Nightwing/Richard "Dick" Grayson character since none of the characters that are in play would be able to match up with him...just to even the field....nothing personal

You sound as if Jason Todd is the ultimate power house in the DC universe. While I concede that his skills are great, he's nowhere near the level of Nightwing or Batman in terms of abilities. There is no point in arguing schemantics here; I just wished to participate in this RP as a character who would fit in well in this universe.

Honestly, if we're using the tried and true 'only a few people can beat him' methodology, then Robin and/or Beast Boy should have gotten their own spin off series, as both of them handed Slade (Aka, Deathstroke the Terminator, AKA the guy who has beaten the Justice League single-handedly), his rear end in a few episodes of the Titans show. To say that Jason Todd could only be defeated by Dick Grayson, and not by about 1/3rd of the team working together is just silly talk.

On that note, I do not see why the Titants -would not- work together to defeat any enemy they come across. It was typically made a point in the show and the comics to illustrate how well the Titans work as a team despite their differences to defeat enemies who are on par with their mentors. Hell, Batman: The Brave and the Bold had a whole episode in which Robin, Speedy, and Aqualad take down Talia Al'Ghul, easily one of Batman's most lethal opponents.

As I said, I do not wish to argue with you, and while Jason Todd has taken up a leadership mantle before, he has also been known to be able to let other characters take the spotlight. It's part of the reason Red Hood and the Outlaws is such a great comic, rather than some other series that have to focus solely on taking out the one Deus Ex Machina character in the group so the others can figure out how to rescue him/her.

Robin is a great character, one of the best in the DC Unicerse no matter what incarnation it is. But very few opponents canon wise could stand toe-to-toe with him in a one-on-one confrontation. The Joker, Deathstroke, Calender King (Total joke to lighten the mood there). Red Hood is one of those rare individuals that could defeat and subdue Robin, while still being vulnerable enough to fall before the might of 2-3 Titans working together.

I hope that helps alleviate any concerns you may have about me possibly overpowering the character.

Ok, fair....anyone can beat anyone....my point being this...Red Hood/Todd is a "hold nothing back, kill them if they get in your way character" that was trained by Batman (the brains behind the Justice League in my opinon haha) in fighting skills and other means of being a beast of a character...not saying he will be a over-powering character, just saying that Nightwing would/could be a playable character if Red Hood/Todd came into play and would push the story allong faster, just can't add him without a reason and Hood/Todd is the perfect reason
