What is your favorite genre to read?

-nods- Thanks for your input. So I am thinking we start off with a genre most people like and then go into ones that people aren't huge fans of. Just not that in a bookclub in order for it to work out you may have to read out of your comfort zone. Just saying.

As for genre... to be honest -- as boring as it sounds -- 'general'. I usually cannot stand romance novels, especially that Mills&Boon stuff. Especially that paranormal romance... stuff... (i.e. City of Bones, Twilight, etc.) that has become monstrously popular over the past five years. I didn't even like The Time Traveler's Wife -- read it a few years ago and... just... whoa. An incredibly overrated novel. I actually like fantasy, too, even though I've depressingly little of it.

i realy love books, i read mostly fantasy. Some horror and some crime and usaly something historical within the above

I love to read historical novels with just a light bit of fantasy, such as a romance of the three kingdoms or the song of roland. I have read a few pure fantasy books that I did enjoy as well. I;m not much into the main stream books like twilight or harry potter.

I like books like Brian Keene's The Rising or Joe Hill's Heart Shaped Box.

Also David Moody's Hater was amazing as well.

I love fantacy mostly, anything fiction to be honest. My fave has to be epic fantasy, like the sword of truth series.

I have a weird taste in books. My Favorite book is House of Leaves, which is horror, but in a very psychological/this book is driving me insane kind of way. I also love the book Notes from Underground, which is also very psychological, but not horror. I also dig E. Hemingway, K. Vonnegut, J. Conrad, and H.P. Lovecraft. I guess I like, insanity? Lol.

Also, I think a book and movie club is a great idea!

Mm, Romance. It makes me feel warm and fluffy inside, lol.

And Fantasy. Mix Romance with Fantasy and I could just read all day long (I pretty much do anyways!)

(Throw in some Time-Travel and you wont get me to put the book down!)
