The Zodiac Line runs twelve interstellar cruise ships in a big-circle path that visits 21 planets in one year before returning to Earth. The Big Cruise offers incredible opportunities for tourism. The number of government & corporate officials and couriers transporting encrypted data that cannot be transmitted also offers incredible opportunities for interstellar espionage as well.
And some corporations have found it to be an excellent way to make troublesome vice-presidents or former employees vanish for a year.
However, as the ship begins its final preparations to leave orbit over Beaumonde, the first settled human colony, an humanoid alien prisoner with amnesia materializes on board in the ship's laundry. For her crimes against her people, she's been mind-wiped and banished - the first Wanderer they've sent out in generations.
Unfortunately her home world is the mythical planet Zayas, last known resting place for an incredible treasure-hold of technology from hundreds of worlds originally stolen by Dracosian Slavers over a millennium ago. When Zayans overthrew the Dracos Empire, they took the stolen collected knowledge home with them - and just as promptly, hid their world by means unknown.
For most people, believing in the legends of Zayas is like believing in the existence of Atlantis. While some believe it's merely some kind of publicity stunt being pulled by the Zodiac Line, government agents from the independent colony worlds and corporate agents are moving to secure the Zayan Wanderer girl for themselves.
For the Brotherhood of Man, a monastic order that runs hospitals, schools and does good works on the colonies, finding a Zayan Wanderer is like finding the Dali Lama. And despite being a monastic order, a member of the Brotherhood is trained in various martial arts. The tears of a Zayan Wanderer legend says can cure any sickness - which if true would make fortunes for the biotech firm that could pry the secrets from the girl's genetic code.
And to make things worse, a notorious freelance assassin with an unknown employer is already after the girl.
Characters would be passengers aboard the ship.
Please PM me if you're interested in playing a courier (corporate or government), a spy (much the same thing) or a member of the Brotherhood of Man.
