Figured I throw in some history.

In the relatively isolated galaxy of Nordenzi 9, there is a unique solar system, with a one-of-a-kind planet known as Wo'Rapa. It is the only planet in that system, the only known one in the galaxy, that has abundant quantities of a rare liquid metal called Lulzium. It's properties are useful and unheard of. It has a low hardening point, at which time it becomes a room temperature superconductor. It's also one of the hardest, lightest metals known, and it's liquid form has just as many uses ranging from a fuel to adhesive. And it, of course, is excellent for making weaponry and spacecraft.

Wo'Rapa was the stage of many a conflict. It heralded a relatively young and unsophisticated population who was often caught in the middle of a war between two major factions in that galaxy known as the Viviraldi and the Mortecendi. They were named by the natives as the Gods of Light and Darkness respectively. Both factions wanted access to the abundance of Lulzium geysers and deposits the ample Wo'Rapa had to offer.

The Mortecendi (Gods of Darkness) were a ruthless and unforgiving race. They believed that if the natives were not strong enough to survive, then by the laws of natural selection, they did not deserver to live. They were fond of enslaving the population and using them to produce this dangerous, yet valuable metal in the deep honeycomb pits of the Lulzium mines. Otherwise, they destroyed whoever wasn't useful to them.

The Viviraldi (Light) were a relatively benevolent and peaceful race. Their only cause for war was eradicating the evil Mortecendi savages from their relatively peaceful galaxy. They preferred to trade with the natives, offering them goods and knowledge (which resulted in them eventually becoming somewhat more sophisticated) for the valuable Lulzium.

Wo'Rapa is a very big planet, curiously large for a terrestrial body. The two factions were content to divide the planet in half and gather their prize in a strained peace. Ironically, however, it was the Viviraldi who struck the first blow when they saw the conditions of the natives under the Mortecendi (and maybe also because the biggest slave pit was surrounded by the most abdundant Lulzium geyser). They freed the population there, took them into their faction, and WAR WERE DECLARED.

The resulting war was long, bloody, and reeked havoc on the planet and it's population. Most of the natives who did not join a faction were eradicated in the crossfires, but life is persistent. The war may have left the planet a ruins, but eventually a peace treaty was drawn up, a comprimise reached, and flora, fauna, and natives alike soon began to grow and prosper once more.

The Great Treaty of Wo' Rapa, known as Gods' Ultimatum by the natives, divided the world in sections. They bordered each huge continent with ocean bound force fields, and vowed never to interfere with the lives of the natives again. The treaty gives both factions leave to extract Lulzium from a single continent – known as the Forgotten Continent – which is the most abundant land mass, dotted with hundreds of active Lulzium geysers. Its distributed fairly amongst the two factions. The other continents' metal and other resources were left alone and isolated from the others, none able to interact or gain access to the Forgotten Continent. As a result every continent has completely unique timelines, technology, ideologies, flora and fauna (and genres).

The treaty also formed an Elder Council which is composed of ancient Wo'Rapa natives that had joined either faction and were granted the gift of immortality by the advanced technology of the aliens. These sages bring no faction rivalry into the council. They are there to watch over Wo'Rapa and maintain the advanced technology that keep the force fields, and orbital elevators that connect the forgotten continent to the space stations. The elders are sometimes seen patrolling the skies in their craft, always watching, always there to maintain the stability of the planet and mediate between the two hated factions.

Great work! And speedy like a ninja, Lady Silk!

I enjoy how you wrapped the current history and other ideas we discussed into this!
This is a great addition. Mary Sue had a tech idea which seemed to be a good chapter idea as well. I'll post it unless she has other plans...

    Chapter idea

Pretty simple one really. Though I dunno if it will work as it's a pretty primitive idea but I'm altering it to fit the story.

At the heart of the main continent there's a large desert called the Morai. It is a dangerous land filled with unnatural monsters, inhospitable conditions and magic guards.

An ancient race called the Pikani retreated into these deserts in a time of great warfare when their forest lands were either taken or burned by the stronger advanced races.

Their struggled through the impossible landscapes and monsters, losing so many that they faced extinction but that was not what the gods of good had in plan for them. They were led by their priests to the heart of a the desert where a mound of rock sat. Listening to their priests they settled upon the mound despite the shortage of water. That was until a heavy sand storm tore away at the base of the mound opened a cave.

There was a light within and the entered. Underneath they would an underwater lake. They praised their gods, the main being Umti the god of the forest they had always worshipped. Following the way of life they had always had they began to work and live off of the land. Planting with the seeds they had taken with them and digging out the land around the lake and created a land of prosperity above the desert.

Using the trees they nurtured and grow over the course of centuries the land grew above rock mound starting with simple moss then tree types that would make redwoods look like twigs until there was a forest at the heart of the while the rest of the world warred a world of wealth and abundance had been created, hidden by the god of the forest whom they'd honoured with woodlands that matched the ones of old. They grew physically and in numbers, spreading as the forest devoured the heart of the desert until the feared Morai desert was a simple outline of its former self fading.

But only recently has the first member of the left the desert today to trade for what resources they have, which is more than most races could imagine. Gold drapped on their necks. Their spears are tipped with a clear glass that does not break under any kind of pressure and looks suspiciously like clear diamonds.
They are still too primitive to realise the wealth they hold.

It is only a question of time before the pions of the dark gods invade these lands. Umti has lost the secrecy of his lands, they will now have to protect themselves.

But where they have lost in technology they have gained in strength and natural skill and animal mastery.

Only, will it be enough? Will the council aid these people or take these stunning lands for themselves?

*Shrugs* I have no idea what you think of the idea.
I figured it would be cool to have a chapter that didn't involve the end of the continent.

    What it involves
Deciding if these people who are rich in resources should be helped or left on their own. I was hoping on having like this internal battle within the council on whether these people should be a part of the council and be given backing.
Then when that is decided you'd have members joining armies, some the same some opposing, fighting for the territory or fighting for these people, who will of course have their own strengths. So it'll be a question of people aiding them until they can find the strength of their own utilising the strengths they already have to create a powerful defence force to look after themselves without altering them.

    Bosses
There would be the clear bad guys, those supporting the Dark gods with ther invading forces who people would fight.
Some people could have boss battles against an army where they hold the line until the main force arrives.

Then there will be the more fun battles between those who simply want the resources there. Basically those will put Player characters up against player characters. Depending on which side you take.

    objectives

The objective is simple. Protect these simple people against the greed of the world these have opened themselves up to.
Or alternatively push them back into giving up lands so far spread that they don't really need them. (The people are separated into hundred of small villages spread across the forests. Their numbers are massive but spread out.)

To it's up to you to keep them divided and conquer or unite them so they can protect themselves and keep their culture alive.

and anything else that would make it unique.
    *Shrugs*
It's not for the sake of the planet.
It ties in with the good gods vs bad gods thing.
One can be a bad guy in this story without really joining the dark side.

Fine Marry Sue. Be that way! You don't get to ride in the Batmobile then. >=P
Jk Sounds good! Can't wait to see it as I find it will be a difficult challenge for many to overcome, thus making it fun.

Pure, I really like this idea in that all hell is coming for the these tribes which means holding a defense against the hell will be ultimately a badass situation to be in! I love defense in these situations and also love the blood diamond aspect as what resources these people have will be used against them and to further fuel the war that continues onward.
