So far we have a human fighter and an elven mage. Playable races I will allow are human, elven, gnome, halfling, half elf, half orc and dwarf. And I;m pretty willing to let you go with your preference.

How about a half-elvish hunt cleric who can use bows and arrows, slings, spears? Or would you rather I did a half-elvish nature cleric that walks around with a scimitar? Nature gods are less likely to do healing spells.... what do you think?

So a cleric or a druid. Hmmmm, trying to decide which I could torture more as an evil DM. Seriously though, the druid might run into a few snags here ad there later on. Though I wild be interested to see how you would do a neutrally aligned character. Put it this way, for the Rolleplay perspective I would go with the druid. For the practical, the cleric. The choice is yours. and druids do have acess to healing spells. Just at a slightly higher level.

Oh, and just so I can post it again, here's the link to the rulebooks. http://www.purpleworm.org/rules/ You really only need to stick to the player's handbook as I'm trying to keep it simple...ish But it has the spell lists, and racial abilities, both of which you will need to add to your sheet. I have to check myself but I think you can get an animal companion as a druid, but that might be at a higher level, like I said, have to check. I would ask that you check out the spell lists though. I will post them in the World forum eventually, but need a little time as there's a ton

But yeah, go set up a character thread and we can confab a little more there.

    Alright alright, I'm here.

If no one wants heal duty I'll gladly take the spot, but of there is already a cleric around.... hmmm... Druid would be my next choice as I don't see shaman or sorcerer on the list, though I may be blind.

Looks like Enigma has taken a cleric. You can take a druid if you like. The roleplay value of the character is well worth it. I will tell you what I told Enigma though. Once this gets passed the first adventure, the setting will make things difficult for a druid. But it is your choice as to what you want to play. And shaman and sorcerer are unavailable as we're using 2nd Edition for the basis of the rules. It's a little more simplified compared to 3 and 3.5

    Skills/Powers/Abilities:

Personality: Kass has multiple personality disorder. Her dominant personality is very sweet and kind. She can be easily taken advantage of, and is very generous. Amili, her recessive personality, looks out for Kass. Amili is extremely perceptive, cutthroat, and can be downright brutal. Amili has no morality when it comes to Kass, and is fiercely protective. Amili has the power to take over when she feels it is needed. Males need to go 100x further than normal to earn her trust.

Background: As a young child, Kass was sold to a mistress, who forced her to do horrible things, many times. She created an alternate personality subconsciously, named Amili. While Kass was being hurt, Amili would take her place. Eventually Amili decided that Kass would never be free if she didnt do something about it. Amili took a knife and hid it behind her back, and when the time came, she stabbed her assailant in the neck, over and over. Covered in blood, Amili proceded to the kitchen, and stabbed the mistress in the side several times, until she fell to the ground, no longer making any noises. Amili walked the streets afterward, protecting Kass and stealing to survive. Eventually they mistakenly stole from a master theif. He was so impressed by her skill, he brought her to the thieves guild... where kass/amili was crowned the princess(not literally of course) of the thieves guild. Learning from the best, and raised by a gang of thieves, she became very skilled in stealth and daggers/throwing knives. Her connections in the thieves guild are very strong and plentyful.

I'm having a bit of trouble deciding on a class. I've narrowed it down to Fighter, Ranger and Thief since I want a kind of range based fighter who can still do ok if an enemy gets close and they seem the best choices, what would you suggest Naz?

A ranger is always a good choice, and we don't have one yet. But I'm happy to let you play as whatever you're most comfortable with.

Note to everyone: I will be bestowing a gift or two on every character.
