I will always be faithful to J.K. Rowling. From the day I read the first Harry Potter book, I was drawn into the world of Harry, Ron and Hermione and the fantastic adventures that followed them.

Like Niven/Pournelle.
"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend."
— Stephen King
JK Rowling is a fantasy writer who has placed the capstone on a modern fantasy saga. I'd go so far to say that she's the new Tolkien in terms of scope and cultural impact. He problem though is that now she's become accustom to stardom and I don't see another Potter-tier epic in her future satiating that need.
Stephanie Meyer managed to mutilate TWO staple fantasy creatures. She has succumb to nearly every modern literary pitfall including but not limited to writing herself into her novels, inventing multiple mary sues, and creating scenarios that break and defy the settings and concepts that she created.
While I'm not a huge fan of either JK Rowling is far, far superior when it comes to writing quality and the universe she's created.

Rowling's characters have decent names :/
And thus the Cacti army marches...
Thanks Arail
Spoiler: Since Kris stole my pics of Merry I now have...
Harry Potter's way too common though. I heard this tale about a real man named Harry Potter who was never taken seriously anymore whenever he told people his name.
But for me, I vote J K Rowling simply because I haven't read Twilight. I mean, I don't think Twilight's all that bad, cuz sometimes the Twilight bashers are quite terrifying in themselves, but I do love Harry Potter.
J.K Rowling all the way. She didn't Kill wizards. In fact she made them better.
Twilight was... meh. It ruined Vampires and werewolves for me for the rest of my life.
"Not your Average Slice of Cake"
Finals are up next week, so I'll be studying, and not on as much. The Cake will be normally online after they are finished.

Rowling, she didn't destroy the youth of the world's minds with an over done love story.
As I like to say Meyer's bastardized two of the world's most feared monsters turning them into high-school versions of themselves. Dracula and the Wolfman would destroy Edward and Jacob simply for the sake of besmirching their races.
