    The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian by Robert E. Howard
    Howard is the father of modern sword and sorcery. His collection of short stories are incredible, taking you back to an age undreamed of.

    Oh gosh, there are so many from which to choose... I loved Pillars of the Earth as well, though I don't know if I'd call it my favorite. I also love all the Song of Ice and Fire books, as well as the Wheel of Time. House of Leaves was great and creepy... but for most poignant, I'd say the book that made me cry the hardest was Dogs of Babel.

    I'm sorry, I guess my list doesn't really go along with the whole, "one most glorious book," thing.

    My favorite books are Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury and The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. <3

    I mean, I got a few others, but those are probably my top two .

    NO WAIT Sherlock Holmes needs to be on that last too .
