Default [M]Castle Greyhawk: Against The Little Guys IC 2

    Spoiler: Map

The chamber is circular in construction. Dominating the center of the room is a 30 foot diameter, conical-shaped steel bar cage surrounded by a small moat. The door to the cage lies bent and twisted near the far wall, as if tossed there by whatever was once held within. On the floor of the cage lies the leg bone of some great beast, shattered on one end. The air in this chamber feels thick and smells of animal fur. A small bronze plaque on the side of the cage reads,"Gigantic Monster of Incredible Proportions." In the center of the northern wall is a wide tunnel leading north. A sign hanging from the ceiling just inside the tunnel reads,"This Way to Herbivore Exhibit

Kass searched the chamber with her eyes, finding nothing too remarkable... and walks across the room toward the entrance to the "herbavore exibit". Being as stealthy as possible, she walked through the entrance, listening carefully as she moved, her hands on the handles of her daggers, her toungue pressing against her top lip... a nervous habit she had yet to get rid of.

"Oooh, dear." Gilder muttered to himself when he saw the sheer size of the cage. Before taking another step Gilder placed his torch in one of the sconces on the wall, drew his bow and notched an arrow. "We should stay together." He said to the others, "Safety in numbers and all that." he slowly inched his way towards the cage. Once satisfyed that it was safe he went in to inspect the bone.
"Elephant," he stated, "probably a mammoth if the smell of hair is any indication. This was a very hunger creature." He told them, leaving the cage, "What on Earth it was doing in the basement of a robe shop, is what I'd like to know."

Gilder's voice echoed slightly through out the room. Just as Kass had reached the tunnel to the north, the echo was answered by shouts of "DIEEEEEEE!" coming from the northern passage. The shouts were accompanied by six goblins armed with spiked clubs running into the room, all seemingly oblivious of Kass's presence.

"Look, they have a dwarf!!! Kill it!!," One goblin screamed as he saw Irin.

"What about the others?" One goblin shouted.

"I give the orders here. ATTACK!"

"For Gunter!" The goblins shouted in unison.

With her hands already on her knives, she pulled them from her belt.

Two throwing knives came flitting from the darkness toward the first goblin

Irin barely had a chance to take in the wonders of the room before she found herself under attack. Kill the dwarf? She took such words to offence considering the other suitable candidates for slaughter around her. If they were so desperate to fight her, she would not let them off easily. The first goblin already had a dagger now protuding from itself (although she didn't have the time to glance around for who had thrown the weapon, she was grateful for its existence) so she hefted her axe and ran to attack the second of the pesky creatures.

The room was huge. Whatever had been kept in here, it was deserving of respect. Gilder's suggestion that they stick together made complete sense to her. Hopefully whatever it was was happy with the herbivores.

When the goblins appeared, Sabine reached for her sling and a sling bullet. As they came running towards the party, she whirled the sling and let fly at goblin #3.

"May the Dweller on the Horizon forgive me," she muttered.

Gilder's face twisted in disgust as he heard a number of goblin voices came from the North Corridor, "I'll drink from you skulls you green whores!!!" he shouted as he let the readied arrow fly from his bow towards the nearest goblin and fired a second at the one behind it.

Morwyn had visibly relaxed when she entered the room. While it was wrong to keep creatures in cages, she supposed a herbivore exhibit might be a bit interesting. She was just stepping into the room and beginning to wonder if the uniducks were escapees from such captivity when the howl of the goblins filled the air.

They obviously wanted to attack their dwarvish ally. That was obviously unacceptable. Of course, extreme violence wasn't the way to go either, if it could be avoided.

Morwyn drew her lower lip between her teeth and began to cast a sleep spell, aiming carefully for the center of the room, right in the path of the creatures.
