I get annoyed when a fantastic writer shows interest in the RP, makes a fantastic character, makes a fantastic first post, but then is too much of a fuckin' irresponsible airhead to make a commitment into the RP. I feel like it's a waste of talent. I understand a busy life, sure, but most of the time when I bonk into these people they just go "Oh... I forgot... huh..." and give me shitty excuses.

I want to shoot them.

My biggest pet peeve (among many) is when someone tells me how my character would react to something based on what they think my character is/should be.



It's my character, how in the hell can anyone else "Know" what my character would or wouldn't do?

Shotgun posting. When you post just about every other time just because you can whether it makes sense or not, it sometimes messes up other peoples posts and sometimes the whole event going on.

Also hate when people don't look at what they write and just stream several sentences together that make no sense, to be honest if I can't understand the post I just ignore it, probably triggers other peoples pet peeves but oh well

Especially with a few you listed, like shotgun posting and people ignoring other's posts, whether it has a big impact on the rp or not.

I also get really iffy if the player's character is too much of an attention grabber. Like c'mon, give the other characters in the game some spotlight.

I hate that with a passion, I understand making a character that can't be defeated easily, I understand them having powers, but be mature enough to make them have some sort of weakness.

It's that whole superman effect, the reason I hate him so much, he has every power in existence just about, and one weakness. Granted the weakness hurts him in a significant way, but it's supposed to be a super rare rock hardly anybody has (but everybody does). You catch my drift.

But just, we're roleplayers for heavens sake, the beauty about this hobby is we can create not just one character with every power in the book and no weakness, but make several characters with several backgrounds, who can learn, grow, strengthen themselves because they are weak, we can make them real almost.

Mysti makes a great point. It's my character I think I know how he/she'd act a little better than you. I usually make mine react the opposite in spite.
