Default The Brawl of a Lifetime! [PG-13] OOC (REBOOT)

    Welcome to the world of...

This is a place of fun, of adventure, and of BRAWLING! This is where the heroes (and heroines) of various video game franchises come to test their mad skillz. While much, MUCH fighting does take place here, this is a world where peace does reign. Outside of the many exciting battles that do happen here, no one is allowed to fight. If an argument insues between the guests of this world, they must settle it in battle.

Along with the fighters, however, are regular denizens of the world, who watch the battles and cheer their favorite fighters on! These people have not seen a time of war since, well, ever.

This time of peace, however, is soon to come to an end. Master Hand and his brother, Crazy Hand, have sensed an evil unlike they have ever experienced! This evil, while still not at the world of Brawl directly, is already starting to have negative impacts. Crops are not growing like they used to, people are becoming irritable, and the Brawlers are becoming even more violent. Realizing they are going to need help for this new threat, the Hands have decided to look upon fighters from other worlds, who have not had the opportunity to fight among the Brawlers.

As one of the new fighters, the Hands will need to know more about you. Here is the form you must fill out for them.
    Spoiler: Character Sheet
Here are the rules for the world of Brawl.
    Spoiler: Rules
This is actually a reboot of my first RP here at RPA. Unfortunately, due to several personal reasons, I had to stop the RP. Now that I actually have the time, I feel this RP can be done.

I have changed a few things. First off, original characters are NOT allowed here. Only video game characters. That's right, any main character from a video game is allowed here. Well, ALMOST any character. Video game characters from rated M games are NOT allowed here. Other than that, everything else is fair game. Also, this RP won't be like last time, when the participants were limited to what they could do, due to me wanting to make it looking like the game. This time, battles will be done as if they're real, not like in Brawl.

So, I hope to see people sign up. Now, I have a list of several characters who are not allowed to be used (except by me ). Click the spoiler below to see them.
    Spoiler: Banned Characters
Everyone else is fair game. With me included, seven people will be in this RP, meaning three spots remain.
    Spoiler: Spots Available
    My Character:
    Name: Banjo-Kazooie
Gender: Banjo is a male honey bear, while Kazooie is a female Breegul.
    Series: Banjo-Kazooie
    Side: Good
    Spoiler: Appearance
Personality: Banjo is a well-mannered, easygoing guy. He uses "Mr." or "Mrs." when speaking to people and generally likes to help people out - which means a lot of damage control when Kazooie opens her beak. While he always means well, he sometimes comes off as a bit slow. He tries to say something witty every now and again, but he usually isn't any good at it. Banjo flip-flops a bit when it comes to his bravery - at times he will jump into a situation quickly, but other times he acts timid and doesn't want to commit. In all cases, however, he would much rather sit down and have either honey, pizza, or a nap, suggesting he is somewhat lazy. He is completely loyal to Kazooie and has her trust.

Kazooie's personality, meanwhile, is very different from Banjo's. She is a wisecracking, hot-tempered, slightly egotistic, tell-it-like-it-is loudmouth. This could be because almost everyone that Kazooie has met had insulted her in some way. Bottles, for example, called her a "strange friend" and asked Banjo if she could talk, and Mumbo Jumbo called her the "filthy feathered one". This could also be why Banjo and Kazooie are such great friends since Banjo hardly ever insults anyone (and if he does he usually apologizes). Kazooie likes adventuring (something which Banjo hates) and saving the world, while she hates boredom, Banjo's lack of an attitude, and facing backwards. Other than that, she is completely loyal to the honey bear and has his trust.
Bio: A long time ago, the brown honey bear known as Banjo was walking along Breegul Beach when he discovered a blue backpack containing the red Breegul named Kazooie. For whatever reason, the two became fast friends and lived together with Banjo's little sister named Tooty over at Spiral Mountain for an unknown period of time. Much to Kazooie's displeasure, they lived a quiet, non-eventful life.

In 1998, Banjo finally caved in from Kazooie's constant nagging and planned an adventure with Kazooie and Tooty. On the day they were to go on an adventure though, Tooty was kidnapped by Gruntilda Winkybunion for her beauty, leading to a rescue operation. Normally, Banjo wouldn't bravely storm into a witch's lair full of bear-smiting traps, but the capture of Tooty and the prodding of Kazooie lead him to go. Using teamwork and a series of moves taught by Bottles, Banjo and Kazooie saved Tooty and buried Grunty the witch. However, two months later, the witch's minion Klungo transplanted Grunty's spirit into a time-altering suit. Gruntilda proceeded to capture Kazooie and mess up time, preventing the duo from meeting in the first place, but with the help of some Mumbo magic, Banjo was able to give chase, rescue his friend, and beat down Grunty a second time.

Convinced that they had not seen the last of Gruntilda, Kazooie insisted that she and Banjo continue practicing their moves and refining their abilities. In 2000, her instincts proved correct when Gruntilda's sisters Mingella and Blobbelda rescued her and destroyed Banjo's House in the process, killing Bottles. Kazooie was instantly pumped to get off on another adventure, and while Bottles' brother Jamjars was every bit as annoying to her as Bottles himself was, she learned to separate from Banjo and lay the hurt on the witch's minions herself, while Banjo learned how to operate with an empty backpack and use Kazooie as a rifle. After defeating Grunty a third time and reviving everyone who died, the duo went in to "rest mode" once more...until now. Let's just pretend Nuts & Bolts never happened, mmkay?

    Count me IN!
Name: The Hero of Brightwall (she is not given a name in-series) "Vanessa"
    Gender: Female
Series: Fable Series, more specifically Fable 3
Side: Good (As she is given this option in-game as well)
Appearance: http://fable.wikia.com/wiki/Hero_of_Brightwall (obviously, the female photo)
Personality: Vanessa is a natural-born leader and not hesitate to take charge for the sake of righteousness. From time to time she acts like a bit of a minx or a tease, but only to get a good sweat out of the other person. She holds the value of friendship and family very dear to her and would do anything to keep them out of harms way. However, she is capable of holding a mean grudge if someone has truly wronged her. Vanessa is more than capable of acting silly and having fun, this is because she isn't easily embarrassed and believes true allies will take her in any manner. She is the kind of soul that doesn't jump straight into action and believes in having a good solid plan before executing any ideas.
Bio: Born into royalty, Vanessa was 2nd in line for the throne of the Kingdom of Albion during the Industrial age, she was second to her tyrannical brother, King Logan. Vanessa saw the wrongs in Logan's leadership, and went with her loyal servant, and step-in father/trainer to find allies for a revolution. She finds out in doing so, that she is what is called a "Hero", like her mother. This means she wields extraordinary talent in swordplay, ranged weapons, and the use of "Will" (Magic). When she had gathered enough powerful allies and overtook Logan's rule, she became Queen herself, and kept all the promises she made to her allies along the way, to make Albion a safer place. However, she learns Logan was a tyrant to keep Albion safe altogether, as a darkness looms in a faraway land, planning to consume Albion. Vanessa manages to overcome and defeat the darkness, however, at the cost of her step-in father.

@ Wattz: Do you want me to reserve you then?

@ SolarPristess: Hm... Everything looks good, except two things. First off, I asked for two paragraphs for the Bio. Second of all, your character is from a game rated M by the ESRB. Allow me to explain.

My reasoning behind this is because most rated M characters are known to be more mature, and not in the sense where someone acts more grown-up. As much as I would like to allow your character to be an exception, I can't allow it. The only character from a rated M game that will be allowed in this RP is Snake from Metal Gear Solid, and that was because he was in Brawl. If you want to be a part of this RP, I must ask you to pick a character from a game rated T or below by the ESRB.

Everyone: My SU will be up here soon. Expect it to be below the spots available at the top.

It's probably gonna take me a while to think up a character, so it's all good, you don't gotta reserve one, cause I'd hate to be holding things up T___T. But I'm brainstorming away, so I hope to have one soon!

Oh man, I'm sorry! Fable is probably one of the ONLY game series I have that's rated M, so I didn't even think to check the rating! I'm sorry to go and waste your time like that. Here, if I may, let me try again:

    Name: Chell N/A
    Gender: Female
    Series: Portal-Portal 2
    Side: Neutral
    Appearance: http://techden.info/wp-content/uploa...al_2_chell.jpg
Personality: Not much is directly known about Chell's personality, but can be implied from various points in game play, such as her sweet-tooth! (But remember, the cake is a lie!) She is naturally motivated and not easily discouraged by insults or environments of "extreme pessimism". Chell is technologically savvy and a hands on learner, who doesn't hesitate to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire. Her ability to forgive is higher than most, and is capable of making friends easily. Chell is a woman of little words, never really speaking when it isn't necessary of her. She has a few insecurities, such as her absence of parents in her childhood, and her weight, but she lets no-one pick on such insecurities but herself. Chell enjoys parties, more more importantly, Chell LOVES cake.
Bio: Little is known about chell's life from before Portal 1. She awakens from stasis in a little glass room, when she is greeted by Glados over loudspeaker. Glados is the Artificial Intelligence system that runs Aperture Science, aka the building Chell is in. Glados tells chell to cooperate with her instruction and to participate in scientific testing, in reward Chell was promised cake and grief counseling. Chell participated in such tests using an Aperture Handheld Portal Device, which was used to create inter-dimensional doors that linked to one another. As the testing continued it grew harder, with the introduction of military turrets and acidic coated floors. At the end of the testing, Chell finds out the cake was a lie, and Glados planned on killing her by fire, however Chell goes off the testing track to confront and defeat Glados. She also discovers that Glados had killed all previous human life in the establishment by emitting a deadly Nero-toxin. She escapes the establishment after an explosion, but is knocked unconscious and dragged back in by an unknown force.
(Portal 2) Chell awakens from stasis hundreds of years later, only to see after in ruin, covered in a mess of flora and dirt. She befriends a "personality core" (robot) named Wheatly, who wants to help her escape Aperture. However, in doing so, they re-awaken Glados, who puts Chell through more testing, yet forgives her violent behavior for the sake of science. With a little help from Wheatly, Chell manages to switch the head mainframe of the establishment from Glados to Wheatly himself. He however, becomes corrupt with power, and puts Glados into a potato battery, sending both her and Chell into the depths of Aperture labs. Through cooperation, the portal device, and teamwork, they both manage to work their way back up to the head room to where Wheatly resides. In doing so, Glados learned that when she was being built, her personality and feelings were downloaded into her directly from a woman named Caroline, who was the lover of Apertures founder. Chell manages to defeat Wheatly by sending him to the moon via portal, and Glados saves her from almost being sucking into space. In the end, Glados admits that Chell is her greatest friend, yet deletes her human emotions and personality for the sake of science, then sets Chell free.

Got my profile all done! I’m surprised, I made a decision much quicker than I thought I would .

    Name: Keats
    Gender: Male
    Series: Folklore
Side: Good (Though I wonder if he should be more Neutral, like a Neutral/Good….)

    Appearance:
    Spoiler: Keats

Personality: Keats was a skeptic of the supernatural before learning all about the Netherworld, despite the fact that he writes for an occult magazine called “Unknown Realms”. He’s grown increasingly more desperate for a good story, especially since “Unknown Realms” is going to the dogs. Despite all he’s seen, old habits die hard, and he’s always looking for the most logical explanation to any occurrence. Keats is a laid-back man in both personality and appearance, an unshaved, slouched figure with his hands constantly in his pockets. Sometimes his intentions seem questionable, but in the end Keats is a good man who errs on the side of caution and will not hesitate to do the right thing when it becomes apparent.

Bio: Keats is a British journalist who writes for an occult magazine called “Unknown Realms”. One day he received a mysterious phone call from a woman pleading for help, saying strangely that faerys were going to kill her. Desperate for a good story, Keats went to Doolin, a village in Ireland which claimed to be a place where the living could meet the dead, to track the caller down. There he met a young woman named Ellen, who’d come to the village of Doolin to find her supposedly dead mother. From there, Keats became involved in a series of murder mysteries. Things only became more mysterious, though, when these real-life mysteries become intertwined with the affairs of the Netherworld.

The Netherworld is the land of the dead, separated into hundreds upon thousands of different realms that all represent different mindsets of death. Doolin has many portals leading into different realms of the Netherworld, and Keats finds out that he can enter the Netherworld with the help of a cloak given to him by Belgae, a Halflife. He soon becomes entangled not only with the murders in Doolin, but also with the problems raging on in the Netherworld, where a woman named Livane enlists Keats to help fight against the Faery Lord. (Confusing yet? I’m not going to spoil things or over-explain .)

Keats eventually begins to help Ellen in her own personal quest, and learns to fight utilizing the Folk of the Netherworld, which are a variety of spirits. Keats has the ability to capture their Ids and harness the power of the Folk. Think Pokemon, but with monsters called Folk. He can also go into an “overdrive” mode called Transcension, where he becomes momentarily more powerful.

This looks like a great game. Why not submit it for Roleplay of the Week or put it in the Roleplaying Games Directory or click here to help attract players?

I look at this and I understand that someone special was thinking about me

Things are not always as they seem to be.

Spoiler: I want to play a game
