Melody laughed, reiterating the question "How do I feel? Ekwis..." , after a pause she continued, "I'm not quite sure why you feel so protective of me, I can take care of myself." She grasped Ekwis's fore-arm, bringing her end to a conclusion. "I want you to join the rebellion, but I don't want you to do it for me, I want you to do it because you want too. There's a meeting that's going to start soon, if you want to join, then we have to hurry along." she finished, Ekwis carefully listening to what she had said, before replying.

"I choose to join." Ekwis declared, needing little thought to from a decision. From the start of the King's reign, the hemospectrum had crippled society, seperating people by the color of their blood. (OOC :This alright?) IT was an unfair system created by an unjust ruler, and both needed to be thrown down. Ekwis ended his quick decision with a question, asking, "So when and where do we go? Lead the way, Melody." Ekwis waited for Melody to accept his request and lead him into a new life, a meaningful life. An existence where he could fight for his belief's......

Ekwis seemed sure of it, and, well, there was no going back now. Sophia's hand ran down where her hand grasped his forearm, and entwined with his hand. Sophia looked up at him, emotionless. There was a lot to think through, and she couldn't risk doing something she regretted. When she had met his eyes she nodded, and started to the back door, heading to Iridiana's.
((If you want you can make them get all the way to Iridiana's and inside, and then Sophia can just her point of view of it, so they can get there faster. Also, love the blood color idea! It fits the story line perfectly.))

With a large amount of help from Melody, the couple navigated their way through the night. It was tempered with a slight anxiety, rather than the peace that had accompanied them to the tavern. It was replaced, instead, by a sense of battle-lust for Ekwis. It was more an urge to protect than to kill, to save than to destroy. Once they had finally arrived at the brothel, Melody led Ekwis into the meeting room at the top of the impressive four-story building. The room was furnished tactically, ready for a quick escape. Maps of the surrounding area as well as a single map, a special map issued to each chapter of the Rebellion, depicting the capital in all its grand corruption. In the very middle of this map, held a large, blood red X. Supposedly, each X was hand-painted with the blood of the Rebellions leader, a mutant, red-blooded pariah that had been cast out and willing to sacrafice his own blood to lead his people out of the darkness of The King's reign. (OO I can create a great, lengthy description about the Rebel Leader. If you want ) In the middle of the table, a single wooden table dominated the room covered with weapons of an exotic variety. This room seemed to act as an emergency armory as well, thought Ekwis as he and Melody took positions in the command room.

Ekwis took his leaning against the wall nearest the window overlooking the entrance, and began inspecting the weapons waiting for the other rebels he had not yet met, his new family, and waited for Melody to similarly take her position inside the command room.

Arkh entered the command room and saw Ekwis, he caught his eye and simply nodded. As the other members were still en route, Arkh decided to wait on the table and took his usual seat at the head, he needed to explain a lot to them, especially about the assassination attempt. The resources would come soon, and given that Ekwis was there, he could probably already give his proposition to him, during the meeting.

    Hell, it's about time.

Melody weaved him through the small village, taken an unfamiliar route as to not attract any attention. They reached Iridiana's and Ekwis took a spot next to the window. Melody took the seat right to the head of the table, knowing Arkh would sit at the head of the table. Arkh entered, and she waited for him to commence the meeting. Arkh gave Ekwis a nod and it relaxed her slightly to know that he was officially welcomed. Melody kept her eyes on Arkh, waiting for what he was to say.

Iridiana waited until everyone was present and hooked her arm in Christopher's, motioning for Rayne to get on the man's other side to support him. Christopher was very unstable from the drug she had given him, and Rayne was a big help getting him into the meeting room. Iridiana had long since sent the women either home or to their beds, depending on where they were staying and headed toward the meeting. She was worried about what Arkh would think about Rayne, but Iridiana was sure that him being seen by the group for the first time as he helped her carry Christopher to the meeting would add something to his credibility. It was a good first impression, so that was one step up the ladder toward building a good argument as to why the hooded man should join. Everyone's eyes were on the three as they entered. Iridiana motioned for Rayne to let Christopher down in the corner. The drowsy man slumped easily to the floor, his eyes fluttering open as he became more aware of his surroundings. Iridiana turned to the rest of the band of rebels. "I may have found us a new recruit," she said slyly and with a smile as she lifted a milky white hand to present Rayne to the rest of the rebellion.

"Nice to meet you. Name's Rayne." he said, smiling as he nodded.

He knew that the circumstances warranted a large amount of supsicion aimed at him, but he felt that being forthright would be best. As far as that went though, he would only answer whatever questions they asked. While he needed them to trust him, he wasn't going to give them any trust without them earning it in their own right. Only the mage and the woman he came with seemed to be of much note, though the others might prove sourceful in their own respective rights.

Arkh silently glanced at the man, but he didn't say a word. Standing up, he uttered the words of a spell that kept every single sound in the command room stay within the command room or disappear. With everyone's attention on him, he brought to the front the attempt about the assassination and what not.

"As I'm sure everyone knows, we are at least known in certain parts of the land. Some like us, and some don't. Others may share our vision and wants, but they can hide behind the facade of someone who doesn't. Also, they can pretend to share those, yet not really have them at all. This is the number one reason that we cannot trust anyone, it's either do or die. I'm not saying this for anyone in particular, it's just a simple reminder." Arkh said as he glanced at Iridiana, not happy about her impulsiveness, but then again she is pretty lucky.

"Anyway, going on, as I woke up this morning, a man attempted to kill me using a special artifact. It's nothing special, yet it could easily fool most peasants and uneducated people. I took him down. I didn't get any information out of him, he was trained, so I let him go back to where he came from so he could bear a sign not to mess with us. But I doubt that's worth much. He's probably already dead for failing."

    Arkh continued,

"So, I asked the King for help, most of you know of my tight connections to the King, I help him out, he helps me out, but in these circumstances, our rebellion needs men in high places. He has no idea of this place, but he knows that I am very valuable to him and he grants most of the requests I ask for. In sight of the new attacks, we can expect a full on frontal attack on the village, to try and scare us out of hiding. It won't work because we will contain the damage, and contain the witnesses. But we cannot win a war without equipment, so I asked the King for a certain list of resources to craft special weapons, armors, and trinkets. I can enchant some of these to aid you, but most of the crafting will come from our newest member, Ekwis." Arkh turned to glance at Ekwis and nodded, "Are you up for the task?"

    Hell, it's about time.

Iridiana stood, unflinchingly, under Arkh's heated glare. She raised her head and puffed out her chest as if to stand her ground with his subtle accusations about bringing in a possible traitor of the rebellion. He would learn to trust her instinct some day. Arkh had called her Lucky on more than one occasion. It was Iridiana's guess that he was not much of a believer in intuition. She smiled and clasped her hands respectfully before her as Arkh moved on with the rest of the briefing. Feeling as if she were off the hook, the woman snuck a glance over at Rayne and nodded toward him, the expression accompanied with a wink and her trademark smile. They were out of the line of fire for now. She trusted Rayne so far. He hadn't lied to her yet, was looking to help, and was very capable of doing so. Iridiana could sense it by the feel of his aura. Iridiana went back to listening to Arkh, nodding her head in acknowledgement of their predicament. Their enemies would hit the village hard, and that wasn't just a guess. She found herself briefly wondering if they should evacuate the women and children of the town. But what would they gain from that? And it would have been a risky move, anyway. Steeling her heart against the instinctive wave of empathy that washed over her, Iridiana snapped herself back to the issue at hand. All eyes were on Ekwis at the end of Arkh's proposal. Would he be up to it? All the rest must have truly wondered, but Iridiana sensed braveness spilling into the boy's aura. He had a fierce need to protect something. Or someone. He would do whatever it took to successfully accomplish that. Good. He was going to be a huge asset as the newest addition to the group. Ekwis wasn't leaving anytime soon, she could tell.
