Kidding, but on a more serious note:

Cake (may be well known, but not well known here)
    The Decemberists
    Valencia
    Mason Jennings
Those are all great artists. Mason Jennings' Boneclouds album is one of my biggest inspirations in songwriting.

A lot of these artist being mentions are pretty well known. I think the problem lies with the genres they all get grouped with and it tends to circle around the same group of people. :/

OK, so I completely forgot what this one song was called but the album/or artist name is Yui but the song itself uses soundbits from Grave of Fireflies. It uses Japanese and English audio interchangeably. The line it uses is the very first line of the movie "September 21, 1945... that was the night I died." and "Setsuko wa". If anyone knows what I'm talking about please let me knoooow. Dx

As for a band I like that not many people know, it would have to be Right Away, Great Captain!

    *plooka plooka*

    EDIT: I FOUND IT. YEEEEEY.

Right Away, Great Captain! is fantastic! Andy Hull is just awesome in anything he does. Manchester Orchestra and Bad Books are epic too!

Cripper. Best thrash metal band in Germany or out of it, and even my metalhead friends don't seem to have heard of them.

Franz Ferdinand is kind of well-known ish, but yet again, I only know two people that have heard of them. They deserve so much more recognition, they're amazing. (even though they've kinda disappeared the past couple of years)

Also Jem, Pillar, Trapt (everyone knows only ONE song of theirs), Trust Company and...

Oh, Rock Kills Kid. Totally one of my favorites, but they're super underrated and they have disappeared, too.

You may know most if not all of these artists, but I thought they should be added anyway.

Haha! For a moment there I thought you were referring to my previous submission, as in, "good, apart from the vocalist". :P

I looked them up and their first YouTube link describes them as "classic rock from the future". Nice...

They're deliberately keeping it quiet, but they're due to release a new album this year. I'll be getting it.
