[PG-13] Tales of Epica

[Spazzmatic]

It was a nice and sunny day at the academy.
Today they were supposed to teach how to summon a fammiliar in class.
There were 5 minutes until class and Nero was hanging out on the roof, getting some fresh air.

Riley moved toward the building just admiring the beautiful day. Despite everything that's been going on in their Kingdom, she was glad that there were still these peaceful and quiet days... But something told her this would not last.

She looked around admiring her surroundings, everyone had smiles. They were all young here, first in magic and combat. It was all very interesting to see youth learn. She smiled and looked up at the sun. "Epica, you are indeed something else," she said. Just standing there and taking in the wind and the breeze. calming it was, she wanted to enjoy it while it lasted and it wouldn't last very long once afternoon breaks.

[Spazzmatic]

As Neroe heard the bell ring, he headed towards class, but before he left something struck him as odd, the strawberry cake vendor who usually was selling cakes at this time couldn't be seen anywhere on the streets, nor could the bell from his cart be heard.
Nero thought to himself: "Hope the old man's not sick."

As Riley heard the bell she ran into the hall with her arms extended out like a little girl. she closed her eyes and didn't seem to mind the people infront of her. but unfortunately, blind drivers always crash.

Riley fell to the ground as she bumped into a red hair boy. He seemed familiar to her, She's seen him around campus but she wasn't really one to talk to a guy. She rubbed her forehead and said.
"I'm sorry, i wasn't looking where i was going." she then got on her knees and picked up her books. that wasn't the best way to gain friends. she thought to herself.

[Spazzmatic]

After he heard what the girl said, Nero got on his knees and started helping her pick her books up.
He then said: "Haha. don''t worry about it, it can happen to anyone. By the way i think i've seen you somewhere, what's your class?"

"Learning to look where I'm going 101" she giggled a bit trying to make the situation a little lighter. "but, i'm in summoning class right now." she said standing up.

"Thanks for helping me with my books," she then paused. "y'know I think I've seen you as well, I'm Riley by the way." she said smiling extending a hand to him. he seemed friendly enough, kind and quite cute. she then asked again. "And what might your name be? and oh, what's your class?" she said with a smile

[Spazzmatic]

Nero smiled back and said: "Haha, i'm Nero and i'm also off to summoning class. I wonder if we'll be in the same class, i'm going to class E30, and you my dear Riley, where are you headed?"

Riley smiled at him "I guess we can walk to class together. Since I'm headed to the same class." She said walking in front of him "So Nero, why is it that i see you a lot most of the time alone but it seems as though everyone knows you." She then looked at Nero as she waited for his reply.

[Spazzmatic]

"I'm mostly alone cause it gives me that atmosphere i can't get when i'm with a large group of people, i can't say for sure, but maybe it loosens me up. And why everyone knows me, well you could say it's cause i'm in the army." said Nero smiling, with his hands behind his head.

Riley smiled. "Wow, I see." she then paused as silence swept them.

They approached the room and entered. "Well thank you again Nero." she said with a smile on her face as she took her seat and thought about the rest of the day. something wrong was bound to happen. It was the same trouble everyday. classes will be cut short because of rouge animal attacks and or plant attacks.

She looked at all the students. All so very young... how would they stop all of this suffering? she then turned her gaze back to Nero and gave him a smile. He seemed powerful being in the army and all. At such a young age he is serving his Kingdom... And Riley wasn't..
