Still, turning into apple jelly would be a pretty bad side effect.
I don't even know anyone who likes apple jelly. At least turn into a good flavor, like strawberry, or blackcurrant, or even (heaven forbid) grape!
I just thought of the worst thing, too.
Apple-flavored gelatinous cubes!
They dissolve your everything AND taste terrible!
Truly, a fate worse than death. I can see it now;

That would be embarassing and painful at the same time, knowing that you died to the unwanted third-wheel outcast of the semi-sentient jelly genus.
