Chapter 1
Shift
Eden Academy for the Gifted caters for all the needs of the chosen few from all over the world to be given a free and rare education. Each Child is chosen from a small list of candidates and the Academy only accepts those with "Talents" although anyone can sign up to be considered a candidate only the best and the brightest are chosen to be flown all the way to our secluded grounds in an undisclosed location away from the prying eyes of the public. However there is something different about this Academy. The Academy has a dark past and an even darker future.

1. Posts are limited to 2 posts between updates
2. I update after everyone has posted
3. Character Sheets need approval from both Mys Terry and I.
4. OOC is reserved for talk about the RP and anything related, Spam is allowed but in moderation.
5. ALWAYS wait till the update is finished before posting.
6. Do NOT Power-play Player characters. This means you cannot control another players actions. Doing so results in a warning. The second time gets you suspended from play for 1 update. (The only exception being Co-ops)
7. Please notify me or another player before being absent for more than a week.
8. Players who disappear for more than a week without notifying me or another player either get suspended from the RP for a month
9. Players who notify via the "absent or leaving thread" but still don't notify me or another player get suspended from the RP for 1 update.
10. Heavy God-modding is not allowed unless followed by an immediate edit (The only exception being Co-ops)
11. Mary-Sue's get rejected on sight.
12. If you want your character to have a greater effect on the plot i recommend longer posts, detailed CS's and lots of input and character discussion in the OOC. The more the better

Eden Academy Eden Academy is everything. The Lake, the people, the buildings, everything. Once thought to be Shangri-la by early explorers, it wasn't until a wealthy entrepreneur and heiress, Evangeline Eden, put its natural resources to good use. Originally it was an isolated research station funded by Evangeline's alone but its community of scientists grew into a town. When The need for a school came along Evangeline created the Academy. The Academy had humble beginnings, but as the years passed the Academy began to absorb the local facilities, evolving into the best boarding school in the world.
The Academy The Academy itself, where most of the teaching takes place is situated in the center of Eden Lake once a ruin but then restored after Eden was reconstructed into an academy. Often mistaken to be massive castle the Academy is in fact the size of a small town. It's quite old from the outside but the interior is very technologically advanced.
Jacobs Forest A large forest that separates the harbor from the Dorm-town. There are a few main paths going through but self navigation through the forest is strictly forbidden. In the Spring and summer months the paths are navigated by VI tour Guides and in the Fall and Winter months the paths are either closed or navigated by Staff. Several students in the past have died navigating the forest by themselves. For some reason the forest tends to confuse people.
Dorm Town A large town like place. Most students use the Dorm town as a popular hang out. Students can get jobs here to earn a little extra money for shopping excursions. There are several stores and places for activities after school here. Festivals will be held here.
Evangelin Harbor The harbor that provides transportation to the academy. its a small places consisting of a few buildings and a Cafe.
The Lake The largest body of water in Eden. It is rumored to be incredibly deep. At night it is said that structures can be seen underneath the water near the shore however this is impossible to prove since lake transportation is shut down in the evening.
The Caves The water source to Eden Lake. When Eden was first being excavated the Lake was a barren chasm until construction of a facility in the cliff surrounding Eden resulted in an accidental explosion that ruptured the wall of a massive cave system. The cave was filled with water and it spilled into the Chasm. After month of torrential waters The Lake was created. It is forbidden to get close to the waterfalls but underneath is is the only path to the Sand Pool. There is a construction center about a hundred yards to the side of the cave opening. They send well equipped teams into a carefully constructed hole in the cave system. Water continually falls from the opening.
Chron Village A large Village beyond Jacobs forest south of Dorm town. where all the natives of Eden live. Its also the staff town. Students are allowed to wander around but any kind of disturbances are met with more severe punishment in Chron Village than in the Dorm town.
The Ramora Moors Beyond the Village and the dorm town and closest to the Cliffs lies the Ramora Moors a wet flat land devoid chocked full of poisonous Mushrooms and pollution and filled to the brim with fog so thick you could cut it with a butter knife. Being caught even one step within its boundaries gives you detention for a month. Like many restricted places in the Academy it is most likely accompanied by an old research facility however these claims are simple rumor because no one has ever explored the Moors and the fog is far to thick to see even from the Dorms. It is said though that in the moonlight shadows of large structures can be seen in the fog.
Cafe Mocha A popular Cafe in the Dorm town it rarely hires extra help so its a much sought after job in the town. Occasionally the manager will hire a new student.
Pages The dorm town bookstore. The store is run by an old man. Strangely no one knows his name and for some reason he prefers to keep it that way. "Sir" Is just fine. The old man doesn't like students all that much but occaisionally he'll allow the company of bookish quiet kids. The stores provides the literature required of students for a free but everything not on the required list needs to be purchased.
Electech A popular Tech store in the dorm town the manager only hires tech savvy students to run his shop. Rumors say he has connections the the secret club that sometimes edits the message board.
Threads A popular Clothing store in the dorm town.They hire just about anybody. The manager there is a hard ass, watch out!
The Sandy Pool A small beautiful clearing somewhere in Jacobs forest. The few who have seen it rarely expose its secrets. Its rumors that its location can only be determined by those who already know where it is.

The Message Board is an electronic Bulletin Board. Each student is given a complementary Tablet where they can get updates on the school and the town surrounding everything. Its has information on World news as well. It is updated every week and contain information on Club activities, Jobs, and announcements. Its updates are controlled by the Staff but some say there is a secret club that can manipulate the Updates.
Story So far:
Prologue: Echo
At first there were only a few. The group had landed in Eden, a place of rich technologies and unbelievable beauty. Questions were raised as the mystery deepened and exhaustion infected the four. Without warning the world shifted and our heroes lost themselves. Questions were raised and some were answered but Something was left out

Description: Gabriella comes from a wealthy Irish family, famous for their coffee grounds and coffee shops in Europe. With the expansion of the "O'Riley Coffee Shoppe" in the United States, her family increased their profits. She's a Coffee house heiress and a moderately talented artist. The only reason her drawings were relatively famous is due to the fact of her family name. Other than that, the only thing she's really proud of is being accepted by Eden Academy, and a part of the Student Disciplinary Committee. Gabe is calm, quiet, and often lost in her own thoughts, but is a decent academic.

Description: Ronnie is from a underprivileged household. With both her parents being ill-tempered, it was a surprise that an Italian and Russian would ever get married. Plates being thrown during dinner, cups being thrown at breakfast wasn't that uncommon for the life in her home. Because of all the constant arguing, she learned to fall asleep with raised voices, but awaken to the sound of things breaking. The only thing she had to look forward to was Track and Field at school, which gave her the perfect opportunity to run from her fears - the only freedom she really ever got. She is a member of the Student Disciplinary Committee. If she can skimp of the rules to get out of doing paperwork, she would. Constant rule breakers would be dealt with harshly if she had gave them a chance without punishment. Short tempered when wronged, favors going on runs to clear her head, and curses in Russian or Italian opposed to English.

Description: Mikhal is the current head of the Disciplinary Committee. He's lived his entire life in Eden academy, born and raised is the Staff Village. He is a mature and well mannered individual except when dealing with the Academy's Ranking Staff. No-one knows why such a straight A student has a difficult relationship with the staff, but rumors have circulated that it has something to do with the death of his parents when he was younger. Its a rumor he flatly denies. Warm and outgoing with his friends but cold and straight to the point with those he just met. Ethan makes himself out to be a "Fire and Ice" type of personality. He is not someone to be messed with.

Description: Montgomery Page did not come from a well-off family. His parents were scientists -explorers- whom traveled around the Earth, studying the effects of the evolution through certain environments. He has lived in caves, mountain tops, in rain forests, deserts, even on board a ship for one summer. He gained their love for nature, so when the chance arose to be apart of an exploration team studying the elusive Eden Academy sink hole, he jumped at the opportunity. He spent fifteen years at Eden Academy before opening up a bookstore to secure a stable income and a way to help educate the youths that walked around Dorm Town.
He has been known to be skeptical of strangers, especially those with 'Gifts'. His trust of others is something he rarely gives away freely, one of the reasons he does not accept help from the student body. Secretive, moody, evasive and odd are among the things he has heard said about him.
NOTE: This will be updated as you encounter people in the RP.
Bio: Cici's family could be described in a million words, but could not be fully grasped without the reality of meeting them. Her mother was a born and raised in the country, with just as much spirit as she could have. She was inevitably gorgeous, youthful, and beyond all, caring. She looked over her family before all else, but did so with such a precision that limited her to one of the few people left, with an ounce of humanity and class. Although devoted to her family, her mother was free-willed; her father hadn't managed to get her to settle, even after twenty years of marriage. Unlike Cici, she knew exactly who she was, what she thought of herself, and without the slightest of an attitude, didn't give a rat's ass what other people had to say about her. She refused to opt for the 'average mom lifestyle', cutting her hair short and wearing pant-suits to work and instead had shoulder-length dirty blonde hair, preferring to wear jeans and a coat over her freckled skin.
Her father on the other hand was a quiet, modest physician. He worked in their town's dinky hospital and knew every face in his work-place, personally. He rarely spoke out or disagreed with someone unless he was personally targeted, although only the most arrogant of men would pick a fight with him. He wan't a coward, but preferred to be the wise and humble man in every situation, with a very clever mouth, given that somebody speak against him. He never had the need to one-up, or outshine others and was frankly, quite comfortable with keeping to himself.
But despite their differences, her parents were inevitably in love. They fought scarcely and Cici couldn't recall a moment when they had raised their voices at each other, which accounted for the majority of Cici's turn out. They were examples of true love, never losing their spark from college and never being pulled into the suburban life. They were entirely honest with each other and their daughter, so a secret never went untold in their little cottage, in Eastern Georgia. Although they could all have strict, over-protective moments, her parents were very casual with her upbringing, letting her explore the world and interpret all of its wonders herself, rather than shoving religion or customs down her throat.
Personality: Cici was a very curious girl and was never satisfied with just one answer. She acknowledged the benefit of learning, which showed through her scholarly attitude and above-average grades. She attended the local public school, where more people dropped out than graduated, but through her eyes, her effort would only be more greatly acknowledged. She was very proper and had an incredible time management and work ethics, hardly ever needing to be asked twice to complete a task.
However, unlike her mother, she had no clue where her place in the world was and might as well be one of the most indecisive people in the world. Although she loved to learn and deepen her knowledge, she could never settle for one area of interest and overwhelmed herself with an erratic-schedule of classes, with the most extreme expectations for herself.
Although she herself has always been anxious of becoming someone respectful, to compare to someone like her mother, she's always been afraid that she might be lacking a strong personality. But although she might not have the intensity of her mother, she is quite a character to be around. Cici is courageous, standing up for herself or others whenever she thinks it's appropriate, often shutting down the opponent with an inferior counter-attack. Although she herself may not be able to decide, she is very easy to get along and agree with, being one of the most influential people in her debate class. Rather prying reactions from others and picking out what the general public may want, she speaks her mind and never drifts from her opinion.
Aside from this, Cici is one of the most supportive friends around. She definitely keeps her distance from other people, savoring her time to herself, but will be the first person to offer you a hand and is a strong believer in second chances. Cici considers herself to be mildly self-conscious, but this is directly linked to her indecisive habits. While she'd rather put her hair up every day and wear baggy t-shirts every day, society forbids her from being comfortable and swallowed her into the fashion tendency of average teenagers. On the contrary, if she chose to dress up more often, then the hicks in her school would either call her a priss or a whore. She has a hard time pleasing others, so instead she is learning not to give a damn.
