Avenging the Gods.

The gods have ruled over all of humanity for nearly three centuries already, and now they have been thrown out of heaven and cast into the pits of tartarus deep in the underworld. The children of the gods have been executed and their forms shattered to where no rebirth will come. The titans have risen again to take over the world and enslave all of mankind, and now the gods are in need of mortal help. Their children are gone, and so are their weapons of power. Even Hades has been thrown into tartarus by the titan lord of death, that he had replaced so long ago. Oceanus again rules the seas destroying coastal villages and killing innocent mortals. The Gods need help.

Will you answer their call?

Plot: We are all people from different greek villages that are in poverty because of the titans rule. We are told by the oracle of delphi that we need to go on a quest to free the gods, and again restore balance into the world. We will be heroes of legend and our tale will be sang for eternity and beyond. We are mortal heroes who will free the gods and throw down the titans.

Setting: Ancient Greece. about 9:00 in the morning. Outside of the temple of Apollo, where the oracle of Delphi resides. Overcast and slight drizzle. The buildings burning in the background causing the sky to be a dark black and the screams of dying people can be hear from atop the hill where the oracle resides unharmed.

@Ladaron- Possibly, but not at the very beginning. I may introduce them later on in the game, but not right off. Also, we can receive the blessings of a particular god, and it will strengthen our attacks and speed. But, also not right at the beginning.

Biography: Diana is a nomad, and has been ever since her family was killed when the titans took over the home of the gods. She had once been a priestess of Artemis and is still worships her. She never enters a battle without her bow, and chooses to wear light clothing instead of battle armor. She was enraged when she received a vision from Artemis showing that the gods had been captured and her family was killed. So, she traveled to Delphi to the oracle who was gathering a band of mortals to free the gods.

When she lost her entire family to the titan Oceanus she relinquished her last name and, became so enraged that she vowed revenge on the titan. She swore upon the river styx and so it was sealed that she would have to take care of the titan one day, when she was able to do so. She has two goals on this mission. One, to return the titan Oceanus back to tartarus, and Two, to free the Goddess Artemis.

Personality: Diana keeps to herself most of the time, because that is what she was taught to do. She holds no emotion for men, and is still a pure maiden, therefore still able to serve the goddess. She became this way after entering under the service of her goddess's temple, and therefore abandoned the company of men, and stayed within the protection of Artemis.

Hometown:Kasos (Then known as Achnis)

Biography: Ever since he was young Agisthos had a particular interest in the sea. Being from Achnis, this was not unusual, as many people noticed the strength that the island possessed in producing and manning sea-faring vessels. With his father, Agisthos went on countless excursions, until he was old enough to man his own sail boat. Because of his love of the Ocean it only made sense that his patron god would be Poseidon, and then Zeus, ruler of the sky.

When the overthrow of the gods began, Agisthos was on his way home, returning from a navy expedition to the land of the sun-burnt races. As Kasos came into view the first thing he noticed was the billowing clouds of smoke, followed by the screams of the Kasopiens. Refusing to wait a second longer, Agisthos made his way to harbor using his personal vessel. When he reached home however, all he found was a pile of charred bones and wooden rafters. For eight days, Agisthos camped out in a hidden cove, watching the demonic force each morning. Soon enough it became apparent that the old Titan of Death had returned, and with him an army of shades.

When Agisthos finally made his peace with the fact that his old life was gone, he set sail to the North-West in hopes that he could make it to Delphy. With nothing but his boat, a single surviving goat, his personal sword, and thirty small barrels of stream water, Agisthos undertook a journey to redemption, and on his way swore by the Styx revenge on the Titan who had decimated his home.

Personality: Agisthos was once fun and adventurous but the recent events have left him marred and uncontrollable. Forsaking common sense, Agisthos rushes to meet his enemies now, the tactical sailor long gone. Slightly insane after his extremely long journey, Agisthos' goat represents the small bots of humanity that remain, and should that single thread be cut from him, one can expect a spiraling road t utter insanity ahead.
