Tandelairn seems to be a young man when he chooses to reveal himself from beneath the cowl and cloak he wears, his skin lightly tanned with a mane of brown hair with a single braid woven with the silk of the nomads of his past. His eyes are a vivid green, like the depths of the forest he seems to adore more than the company of others, the only flaw in those exquisite eyes is the scar and ritualistic tattooing across his brow, which seems to be the markings of the forgotten nomads of Ghealdan. Despite his appearance of nothing more than an anachronistic hunter, a single large red gem dangles from a priceless chain around his neck. The T etched in the gem’s pristine surface is surrounded by a once powerful merchant’s crest.

Personality: Tandelairn seems to be a fairly secretive man regarding his past, present and future, however once one breaks the façade, Tandelairn’s past does not haunt him, now that he’s accepted the fate of his family and the fact that he would not be who he became if not for that incident. Fairly optimistic and sometimes naïve to a fault, once befriended Tandelairn’s loyalty will never waver until he is betrayed, and then the gloves are going to come off.

Tandelairn was born into the Tasartir family, a banking and merchant family that had once been one of the most wealthy families in Ghealdan, having situated it’s roots in the country by marriages of convenience, partnerships and employment causing Tandelairn’s father to become the head of one of the most financially powerful families, while this affected Tandelairn very little as a child, the death of his mother during childbirth to him left Tandelairn resented by his father. However, his father gave the child anything he desired, the best of everything. All good things must come to an end.

While all families have their secrets, the Tasartir family was no different. Tandelairn’s father had made enemies with another prominent family through a gambling debt owed to the Tasartir family, in which Tandelairn’s father wished to take their daughter as his bride as payment. Their daughter, only fourteen at the time, was considered to be the prize jewel, and her father set a bounty on the heads of the Tasartir family and it’s heirs.

Just after Tandelairn’s eighth birthday celebration, a grand event, the bounty hunters moved in to collect, Tandelairn barely escaped after watching his father being tortured to death and his body drug through the fields which Tandelairn had spent many days learning to ride and train in archery. Tandelairn returned after the escapade had settled and gathered what he could, including properly burying his father, and keeping the family seal necklace. He gathered his horse, and his father’s armor before he took what money was left and set out.

Young Tandelairn was found on the borders of his familial estate by a group of nomadic wanderers from distant lands, who took him in and showed him the ways of deception, dagger fighting, and how to use a pistol as well as theft and how to survive among the woods, as they had for ages past. Not much is kept in the way of records of where and what Tan had done with this wandering nomadic family, but he had become one of them, surviving through theft and the land. When he was noticed in a larger city by one of the Tasartir family’s enemies, he fled thinking that he’d been caught for something rather than the fact of whom he was. Now, Tan has left those whom he considered his second family for their safety, yet he does not know how to interact outside of the nomads, seemingly naïve and his past as a Tasartir has almost all but been blocked so that he could move on…
