As the other asha'man gathered around and embraced the source, the Red, Cellia, joined them, another dedicated in tow, her warder. "Okay, who will be leading the flows," the woman asked as she looked at the blackcoats. Though she was technically a Red, she showed no apprehension about being around them. Edynol noticed through out the past months that once becoming bonded to an asha'man, Aes Sedai seemed to become more accepting of his ilk, especially the Reds. When Edynol raised a hand to Cellia's question, she nodded. "Very well. I will establish the link and pass control on to you." As everyone joined hands, the Aes Sedai established the link. Edynol felt a slight draining sensation when the link was first formed. "Okay, I am now passing control to you," she said as if she were instructing him, which Edynol wasn't against. He had only practiced linking a few times, and in those time never actually performed a weave.
Once control was turned over to Edynol, a wide smile appeared on his face as he felt a surge of power fill him. "Thank you, Cellia Sedai," he said, gasping a few times between words. He had never been linked to more than one before. He felt like he could do anything, grow a forest, mountains even. As Edynol wove the gateway, even some of the other asha'man gaped at who deftly he performed the weave. By the time he was finished, the gateway was large enough for over twenty men to walk abreast comfortably. The gateway led to the inner city, where a few dozen soldiers stood ready.
Daerid was the first to walk through and greet the soldiers on the other side. "Stay your hands," he said in a deep, calm tone. "We are friends. We are here to protect the queen and her city, as per the Lord Dragon, and warn you of a massive force of shadowspawn readying a siege."
As Edynol stepped through the gateway, he heard the captain of the other soldiers speak. "Queen Elayne is not here," the man said. "She left the city days ago heading towards Merillor. Lady Dyelin is acting in her stead."
Daedrid nodded with a grunt. "Seems rumors were true after all," he grumbled under his breath. "Very well. We will protect the inner city, in case any shadowspawn break through the first perimeter. Be sure to have those dragons ready, we made need them." The man nodded and went to organize the rest of the soldiers.
