Cocoa slowly closed her light blue eyes and fell asleep. Pepper stared at Cocoa, he thought to himself, she is so beautiful. The male quickly fell asleep. The next morning, Pepper woke up and glanced at Cocoa. The female was asleep. Pepper went over to a food stand and he got 2 hamburgers. He lay one by Cocoa. Cocoa's nostrils opened wide and she sniffed. Her eyes opened and she saw the hamburger. She looked at Pepper, " did you get this hamburger for me?" Pepper nodded. He licked Cocoa's cheek. The female ate the hamburger. Pepper also ate his hamburger. The male questioned, " so what do you want to do today?" Cocoa replied, " I don't know." Pepper stared at Cocoa, " Cocoa, you're so beautiful." Cocoa smiled, " thanks. and you are handsome." She licked Pepper's neck. Pepper nuzzled her nose with his nose.

Cocoa at that moment felt tingly. She felt what Pepper felt. This she immediately knew was love. She was in love with Pepper! Cocoa spoke nervously, " Pepper, I think I'm in love with you." The male licked Cocoa's nose, " well I actually am in love with you. D-Do you want to be my mate?" Cocoa smiled, " yes." Pepper wagged his tail. He licked Cocoa's lips and tail. Cocoa returned Pepper's lick on her tail. The male questioned, " should we mate in this alley?" Cocoa replied, " yes it's okay." Pepper started mating with Cocoa. They both were panting.

In a while, Pepper stopped mating with Cocoa. Cocoa still panted, and she lay down and in a heart-beat she fell fast asleep. Pepper stopped panting, he couldn't believe Cocoa and him mated. Pepper loved Cocoa very much. He would risk his life for her and their puppies if Cocoa got pregnant. He wanted to be the best father and mate he could be. Pepper lay right beside Cocoa. He was protecting her just in case of any danger. The male couldn't close his charming green eyes and fall asleep. Suddenly, a dog catcher van slowly drove by and stopped. The man caught sight of the dogs. Pepper nudged Cocoa fearfully, " Cocoa, Cocoa!" Cocoa opened her light blue eyes. They were filled with exhaustion, " what honey?" She comfortingly pushed her nose into her mate's fur. Pepper flattened his ears. " dog catchers!" Cocoa instantly stood up, " what!? Let's run!" The mates' ran away. The catcher got out of his car with a huge net. He ran towards the dogs, " come here you stupid mutts!"

Suddenly, Cocoa slipped and fell to the ground and whimpered, " leave without me!" Pepper whined, " no!" The catcher got closer and closer. Pepper tryed to help Cocoa stand up but she couldn't. She broke her leg. The catcher swung his net and caught Cocoa. She barked, " Pepper!" Pepper whimpered, he bit the man's leg, he was baring his teeth at him. The catcher sneered, " oh do I have your beautiful mate?" Pepper lunged at the man and sank his teeth deep into his flesh. He yelled, " owww! Get this stupid dog off of me!" He let go of Cocoa and she went out of the net. She was limping. Pepper joyfully licked Cocoa's neck, " come on hun, let's go." The dogs headed off.
