Personality: Martin is a rather rougish young fellow, enjoying a good bit of fun every now and then. When it comes to his work, he is often serious and uncomprimising. Even the captain would probably give him some attention if he said a certain course was dangerous. Otherwise, he loves to play cards, mingle with the crew, and enjoy himself. This is a little hard, seeing as he is up at odd hours guiding the ship.
Bio: Martin was born on the coast of Spain, the son of a rich merchant and a prostitute. This put him in somewhat of an awkard poisition. Neither was really willing to claim him as a legitimate son. So, his father sent him off to learn a trade. He went from master to master, trying to learn something. Quickly he learned various bits and peices, but on the whole he failed miserably at each job. When he was of age, his father finally enlisted him in the navy, being by that time thoroughly disgusted.
Martin was rather pleased by this turn of events. Ever since, he has hardly set foot on land save for trade and drink. He took like a fish to the water, and rose in the ranks, finding his true calling in navigating his ship by the stars, wind, and tides. However, strange fates always fell upon the ships he sailed with. There began a myth that he was cursed. This latest venture upon the flourish is a means to an end. He wants to get away from his past, and start annew in the Caribbean.

Personality: Raven is a defiant young man. One of his greatest acts of rebellion against the world was to change his own name. From day one, he has had difficulties adapting to the world around him. He is used to fighting for the biggest portions of food and the most comfortable beds. After having to go to work, he has softened a bit, mostly due to one of his employers, Miss Sophia Grant.
Bio: Raven was recently thrown out of the poorhouse he had basically lived in since her mother 5 years ago died of pneumonia. He had been getting on everyone's nerves and it was decided he was old enough to go get a job for himself. And that he managed to do. After several mishaps, Raven was employed to run the errands of the wealthy Grant family. When it was time for the family to move to Port Royal, Raven asked to go with them. To his amazement he was given the task to escort Miss Sophia to their destination and to take care of all of her belongings. This being Raven's first trip ever abroad, he is being childishly naive.
