Seeking God (OOC)

I want to make a thread that flies, like really freakin soars! So i've learnt i need input from players and not just selfishly throw everything together myself. So help me out guys!

I have this idea of a world the sky is purple and the moons are out even during the day time, It was once beautiful, But the inhabitants have ruined the earth, creating only bigger and better cities destroying everything in its path. The Gods are in outrage, they have been watching closely as men blatantly destroyed the earth.

Humans thinking gods were mere myth were put in their place one day when the skies opened and down came lightening, lightening so strong and powerful it blinded the majority of the people and destroyed every single machine on the face of the earth. The cities unable to run were abandoned and destroyed leaving only rubble.

Every one lived in peace now, the earth was rebuilding itself, small forests had begun to grow, fish swum in the streams, grass was green and people learned to live simple lives again embracing nature and gods creations.

But there was rebels of course, people who refused to give up on machines and science they worked in secret in the ruins of the largest city. And they were despised for fear that their defiance would anger the gods and every one would be punished again.

The story is set 1000 years after the lightening that destroyed the modern world and there is a myth that the gods came to earth from time to time to enjoy the fruit of their labor and that is how the exceptional beings are created. Exceptional does not mean incredibly awesome might i just add it means slightly different then run of the mill. Such as if your exceptionally tall then people assume your mum was naughty with a god. If your daughter is incredibly beautiful its assumed she was daughter of a god. If you could throw a dart and hit the bulls eye every time you were son of a god. things like that.

So my character is "Exceptional" She has dark ruby red hair and it can not be explained because no one has ever had red hair in the history of for ever. So curious to put an end to the myth she sets out to find the portal between earth and heaven and put an end to the myth find out if really she is spawned from a promiscuous god, but along the way they can find cool stuff like relics and monsters and clues, perhaps a naughty god slung out on their ass shunned away on a mountainside.

Rules: Don't be too awesome i don't want superman flying around zapping everything with laser sight...tho laser sight could be cool...

Romance is okay as long is its not icky, Ill tell you if your getting too icky.

Every one be nice to each other!! Obviously characters can disagree and what not but no beheading any one because they stole your favorite pen.

Hey there and welcome to RPA! I'm glad to see you've already got an awesome idea here, and I can't wait to see how it plays out.

Though not necessary, it can be helpful for players if you have a set of rules and a character sheet you'd like people to fill out for their characters in the first post. For the character sheet, you'd basically take the one that you yourself filled out and put it with each section left blank in the first post:

Age:
Exception:
Bio:

As for rules, well, those are mainly up to you (provided they still stay within RPA guidelines)! What rules would you like to set for your RP? What kind of literacy level are you looking for? How long of posts would you like them to make? Do you expect them to respect one another as well as the GM's law? If you're looking for some example rules, you can always look around at the other RPs to get an idea for what they may look like.
