Aiden smirked as she nestled into his arms. Her words only making his smile grow as she adjusted her position slightly to kiss his head. He kept his eyes closed and just soothingly caressed her. The young man knew that she needed rest and so he tried his best to coax her into dreams.
He enjoyed feeling her warmth beside him. There was an innocence in how they were holding that he had never had before with a girl. Aiden just enjoyed the smell of her hair and how comfortable it was to be with her. Slowly, sleep began to take him and when he finally passed out, he missed the fact that she got up and left him alone in the bed.
His breathing was soft as he slept. His dreams going over the past twenty-four hours. To say that it wasn't overwhelming would be a lie. Still, he managed to keep Deanna at his side after all of it. Something he wouldn't believe possible had he been asked yesterday morning. Attraction really was a fickle thing.
She made it in time to empty the contents of her stomach in the toilet, and thankfully didn’t wake Aiden in the process. She stood up and took out a rag and running it under the cold water before whipping her face. That’s when she noticed how pale she was.
She looked down at the cold water running in the sink and before she knew it another way of sickness hit her again. This time she leaned herself up against the cold glass wall trying to cool her body temperature. After what felt like an hour, and she was able to open her eyes without the room spinning she pulled herself up, brushing her teeth.
She slowly made her way back to the bed and smiled when she saw Aiden laying there dead asleep. She pulled her shirt off slowly trying not to pull at her ribs which were covered in brusies, and slid down her pants, before climbing back into the bed. She scooted back to him pulling his arms around her gently making sure she didn’t hurt him. His skin bear skin next to hers was so much cooler,, and finally she found herself falling into a peaceful sleep.

Aiden groaned softly in his dreams as he relived their accident. He had gone through a lot of scary moments in the past months but that accident was the first time his life was truly in danger. Even worse, he could have lost Deanna. The images of it all making him stir slightly.
Luckily, his dreams were removed the moment Deanna slid back into his arms. He instantly found peace again the moment he felt her skin against his. Something about her touch soothing his nightmares away and allowing his breathing to soften again. His hands locking themselves gently within her hair while he dreamed.
After a few hours, Aiden finally woke to feel Deanna's heat against him. 'Jesus.. Yer on fire..'he thought as he looked down at her with worry. Deciding to take care of her, he got up out of bed and walked to the kitchen and made some ice packs. Feeling satisfied after making four, he grabbed a rag and wet it down with cold water.
Aiden brought the items to the bedroom and places the cool ice packs on her body. He set one down on each shoulder and on each thigh. The young man then placed the cool rag on her forehead. When he was done placing the cool items against her, he grabbed his acoustic guitar and sat down in a chair beside her. Carefully and quietly, he began to play a song.
Every once in a while he'd get a jolt in his arm but he made sure he didn't do anything too strenuous. He just wanted to relax her and make her feel better. One of his favorite things to do was listen to music when he wasn't feeling well. It relaxed him almost as much as she did.

Deanna woke to the coldness on her shoulders and thigh and the sound of soft music playing. She slowly moved her head to see Aiden sitting beside her playing his guitar. She gave him a groggy smile as she pulled herself up so her back was pushed against the head board. She didn’t make any attempt to stop him from playing, but she couldn’t help the guilt that dwelled in her for not stopping him. The coldness against her bare skin was like a godsend, but her body was still being rocked with slight shivers.
“Aiden,” she said with a soft smile, “darling you should be resting…we have to make it to that hotel and I need you to be able to defend yourself if the time comes,” she said placing her hand on his knee drawing soft circles through his clothing. Deanna cold feel the dullness of the pain and knew right off the bat that the medicine had to be working. She looked down at her body she had a bandage wrapped tight around her rips, but other than that she was almost naked yet her body felt like it was under a thousand wool blankets.
She took the ice pack and ran them down her hot skin letting her eyes fall close at the sensation, starting at her neck moving it slowly down to her chest allowing the water rundown. “We need to be packing Aiden,” she said slowly opening her eyes to look over at him, “We have to keep moving before they figure out I’m here,” she said not thinking. She hadn’t told Aiden about the men at the hospital or that she was looking at time in for killing an Agent of the National Security Agency, or the fact they were calling her a rouge agent labeled trader so quickly she changed the subject, “ Let’s start by getting us both patched up and clean so we don’t draw attention.”
She took a deep breath and pulled herself up slowly to a standing position trying to avoid the conversation. Her body wobbled a little bit when she realized how dizzy she was, but she didn’t allow it to slow her. She eased her way toward the bathroom adjusting the water to its lowest setting which would chill anyone to the bone but it felt like heaven to running along Deanna’s arm. She started to undress starting with the wrap around her ribs. She pulled at it until it slid neatly from her body allowing her to see the damage for the first time. Her ribs where covered in bruises making the skin around them look almost inhuman. She slowly eased herself into the water closing the door as she started to clean herself, but she couldn’t hide the satisfaction that played out on her face thanks to the cold water.

Aiden continued to play quietly until he heard Deanna's subtle movements in the bed. Looking up, he smiled back at her and decided to continue playing his song. His smile grew slightly when she called him darling but he shook his head slightly. "I'm fine, lass. There's no need to worry about me."
When she put her hand on his knee and began to draw on it, he let out a contented sigh and set the guitar aside. Sitting back in his chair, and letting his good arm hold his sore one, he watched with silent admiration as she ran the ice cubes down her skin. Aiden could have fallen into a trance had she not spoken.
"Right." Aiden said plainly to the need of packing. He stood up and was about to go grab some clothes when she continued to speak. Having his back turned while she divulged information, he raised his eyebrow. Deciding it was probably about the Yakuza, he sighed and nodded.
Turning back around, he assisted Deanna to the bathroom. He took the bandage that had been around her ribs and set them down on a table before helping her ease into the tub. Although she was gorgeous, he didn't have any naughty thoughts in this moment. The only thing that was going through his mind was worry for her. These thoughts were only increased upon seeing her bruises.
Deciding to give her privacy, he left the room and went to the other bathroom to take a shower. After carefully removing his shirt and the rest of his clothes, he looked at the mirror and saw his shoulder. It was fifty shades of purple and his body was riddled with small cuts and scrapes. Sighing, he got into the shower and let the water pour down his toned body.
Deanna stood in the shower letting the cold water wash over her bruised and beaten body. The water made her body feel ice cold but the heath was still present meaning she was going to need antibiotics. More than likely she had broken her ribs enough to send bone marrow into her blood stream causing the fever and sickness. She turned the water off and reached for a towel and started to dry herself off with easy. That’s when she noticed the rather large gash on her head hidden by her hair.
She walked slowly over to the skin and mirror looking herself over. Other than a few cuts and scraped to her face, and arms she was presentable. All she need was to go and get makeup to place over them and she wouldn’t look any different then she had before hell broke loss. She peeked out into the bedroom seeing Aiden wasn’t there she wrapped the towel around her and made her way over to her bag. She was searching through it to find the makeup but instead she found the two guns and her passport.
Suddenly her heart felt like it was going to jump out of her chest when she didn’t see her badge. “Wonderful,” she uttered under her breath as the thought of Aiden finding it crept into her mind. She didn’t want him to know, at less not yet. She couldn’t deny how much the information he held meant to her now, but there was something else there something that scared her worse than anything she had experienced, and that was the fear of losing Aiden.
She took a deep breath and putting everything back in her bag before pulling out the makeup she walked back to the bathroom and started to apply it, and after she was done like she had guessed she looked better than before. She looked walked over to the box Aiden had given her full of clothing and found a cute summer dress that would be less tight on her sore body. She walked back to the sink and took the bandage that was around her and started to wrap it tight again, but cut a rather large piece from it.
She eased her panties on and then her dress before she started to work on her hair. She let it stay down to help cover the scraps along her hair line; after she was happy with the way she looked she brushed her teeth trying to get the horrible taste of vomit and blood from her mouth. After a go 40 minutes she was looking right as rain, and unless you looked hard you couldn’t tell she had been in a wreck. She picked up her bag and walked out into the living room dropping all their stuff there, before she made her way toward the other bathroom where Aiden was.
She slowly open the door and eased her way inside sitting down on the toilet waiting for him to come out so she could help him wrap his messed up shoulder.

Aiden put a hand against the shower wall and let the water run down his back. He didn't know what the hotel would hold. If his father had been, there was no doubt that he'd be gone by now. All Aiden could do is try to keep a level head about everything and use his intelligence to keep him safe. Enough events have occurred that he knew he could defend himself. More over, Deanna could as well.
Deanna. No matter where his thoughts were, she continued to pop back up in his mind. It was like she was on a wheel that continuously turned in his mind. Shaking it off, he let out a sigh and turned off the water. Opening the door to it, he saw Deanna resting on the toilet.
Suddenly feeling bashful, Aiden grabbed a towel hanging up and wrapped it around his waist. "Ye look fantastic.." He said through reddened cheeks. It confused him as to why she was in the room but he decided to just let it go and put on a pair of boxers before letting the towel drop. Aiden then towel dried off his torso while being mindful of his arm.
Deanna had to bite her inner jaw to keep from laughing at his utterly shocked face. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to spook you,” she said shaking her head as he commented on how she looked. She stood up walking over to him taking the towel out of his hand when she saw him wince when his arm caught.
“Here let me,” she said running the soft towel down over his back and shoulder, “I came in here because I need to cheek on your arm… your little belt thingy,” she said with a laugh “just isn’t cutting in and plus we need something that doesn’t stand out… a bandage shows weakness and we don’t need that.”
When she finally got him dry she ran her soft hand over the shoulder in question. “You know you’re quite lucky… I mean it seem like all it done was pop it out of place…most the time you see some kind of nerve damage but you seem fine,” she said catching his eyes in the reflection of the mirror.
She took the bandage in her hand and gave him a sad look. “This is probably going to be uncomfortable and painful so I hope you have more them that one bottle of pain killers,” with that she lifted his arm slowly and started to wrap the bandage tight around his shoulder. When she was done there was a neat wrap holding his shoulder tight.
“There,” she said with a smile before she moved to stand in front of him. She couldn’t help the glimmer that was in her eyes. Something about Aiden made her fell giddy like a young girl, and she was tired of hiding it.

He didn't fight her as she took the towel from him and began to dry off his skin. His eyes watched her through the mirror. She was so tender and careful that it made him smirk slightly. When she began to talk, he just listened quietly.
Hearing her laugh at his inventive use of his belt, he blushed again. "Don't mock the belt, lass. It worked when it needed to." Aiden said in a playfully defensive manner. He saw her set down the towel before her hand ran gently over his skin.
"I feel lucky compared ta what ye went through." He said wanting to turn and touch her ribs gently. Instead, he remained still while she continued to examine his arm. He looked up into the mirror again to see her shimmering eyes looking at him.
"It's fine. Go ahead and do what ye need ta." Aiden responded to her warning before he closed his eyes and grimaced at her wrapping his arm. She was trying to be gentle but it hurt like heck.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw her looking at him with a bright smile. Her expression was happiness and it was infectious to him. Turning to face her, he put his arms on her waist. "Ye have the most beautiful smile, Deanna." He said gently before lowering his hands and walking away towards the bedroom.
She left him speechless which was something he had never experienced before. It made him happy and frustrated at the same time. He went into the closet and grabbed a black suit and a loose green button down shirt. Aiden then went into his bathroom and put on his deodorant and cologne, brushed his teeth and packed all of his toiletries into a bag.
He continued to pack some clothes for traveling as he wasn't sure how long they'd be gone. Setting them down by the lift doors. Turning, he then went to find Deanna.

Deanna watched as he walked away and couldn’t help to bite her lip and shake her head. This is what made her find Aiden so charming. He was hurt and in lots of pain yet he still pushed through it making sure she was fine. She walked out of the bathroom and walked into the living room sitting down on the couch.
She had only been sitting there for a moment when Aiden came back into view. She smiled looking him over. “See there,” she said standing up slowly not to pull too much at her ribs, “Can’t even tell you have an injury,” she said letting her eyes look over him.
She walked over to him and gave him a smile “Shall we go then,” she asked as she picked his hand up with one hand as she through her bag over the other shoulder. She led them into the lift and turned to look at him.
She couldn’t tell what he was thinking, but the way he was acting lead her to believe that it had something to do with his father. “Aiden,” she said letting her eyes fall to the ground, “were going to figure out what the letter means…okay,” she said looking up taking both of his hands in her hand.
