Witches, they seem evil and are said to use black magic, but that's not true. Some witches are warm hearted and gentle. The one who had said the poem( look at the first paragraph ) was of that kind of witch, her name was Mizuki ( beautiful moon.). She had fallen for a prince who loved her so, but did not know her secret. There was jealous Nun who come and trick the prince into thinking Mizuki had put a evil spell on him to make him fall in love with her. The prince fell for the trick because Rin was a Nun.
So when Mizuki and The Prince were alone or at least thought they were. He cut her hair off to a short length and attached her to a cross. Were she was in complete shock. Holly Water was splashed on her which caused her pain. It was true that she used magic but it wasn't black. Although her wings were as black as the night and her eyes were as red as blood she was a very kind hearted person. Before she could be killed Mizuki had cried tears of regret and love. She then said the poem, " My Love, I do not know of what you had heard, nor what you have seen, but despite what has happened I do still love you. You and only you can truly kill me. I Will return, you'll see." After that, the nun started to aim a dagger at Mizuki's heart. Once again before she could get near her Mizuki stretched They did not know that she could live much longer than they could. SO they waited until finally they gave up on her. They thought that she had died or that she lied about coming back.
What the villagers thought was right. Mizuki had died about 10 years after she fled.
She did not lie about how she would come back for her prince.
Like I said Witches live very long lives, so after Mizuki passed away. ( she died from hunters ) A bright white haired child with red eyes and black wings was born. She was born into a family of witches. Mizuki had reincarnated herself into this child. The child grew up slowly. She was given the name Echoe because of how she almost never forgets what she is told. Years and years pass as normal humans die and new ones are born. By the time Echoe reaches 16 she has already lived threw 8 peoples lives. It was hard finding new places to live at when you have to move place to place so people don't find out your secret.
When Echoe did find a place to stay it was at the same village or town that Mizuki fled from. Of course the prince had died but he two had reincarnated himself into a person. This person was the new prince as well and looked very similar to the original one. The reason for him to do this is that he did still love Mizuki so he had regrets. The prince has every memory the the original one had. So he knows what mizuki looks like and what happened. The first prince was about 24 when mizuki left. The second prince is about 19. Prince 1 is now prince 2 other mind. He helps prince 2 control the castle that still stands after about 900 years.The prince is still human.
Now just because the prince knows everything the prince 1 did and has his mind, it does not mean that Echoe has memories of what happened. She does have some but not many and she can not get a good grasp of the voice in her head. ( mizuki )
