Michael pretty much ignored everything as he changed into his civilian clothing, having made a trip back to his apartment as the other's were sleeping. He didn't need to hear the captain, he knew what was expected of him and the other's. Having done this so many times he considered himself a pro. "You all set kid?" Gunner asked his new friend.
Clicking the safety on his gun he put it behind him, covering it with his shirt. "Yeah, I know the drill."
"Great." Gunner patted him on the back. "By the way the Lieutenant is your date."
"Cool......wait what?" The others laughed at him. Just then the Lieutenant emerged from her private changing room. Michael's jaw dropped. She was beautiful, not that she normally wasn't. After the comment about his jaw he picked it up off the floor and counted himself lucky she didn't murder him for openly staring. Once everyone was ready the left the station. Outside Michael looked to Leo. "Um, we're going to take my car. You know, undercover, civilian vehicle." Leo just looked at him. "Yeah ok." The doors lifted up and Leo got in. Sighing Michael moved to get it. "I need to shoot something."
The drive was awkwardly silent. Leo looking out the window and Michael trying not to stare and crash the car. Managing to keep in control they parked, those who weren't coming in parking further away, ready to move in case everything went to hell. The "couple" got out of the car and went to get in line. Lunar Night Club was a pretty popular club, but it must've been a slow night as the line was particularly long. It was still long just not like it usually is. But finally the cops managed to get in. Michael's head bobbed to the music. Turning to Leo he asked, "You want to dance or get drinks?"
'Show time....let's see what Michael gots
Was her last thoughts when they were finally let inside. Wearing an earpiece that looked like a fancy earring, nothing unusual, and a choker that was a hidden camera not even detected by the electronic scanners when they passed through at the entrance. Hearing the music she started to bounce to the music softly to each step. Leaning in to hear him ask whether they wanted to get drinks or dance first. 'Heh....nice try Snow, not dancing with me yet...' Smiling pretty she wraps her arm around his and pointed to the bar.
Pulling him somewhat with pleading eyes "come on handsome, you should know by now I don't dance without least one drink." Winking as hand in hand she led the way through the other social people chatting with drinks in their hands, her hips moving to the beat in a sexy way.
Hands resting on the table top Leo waved over a bartender casually "hey can I get a tequila sunrise and ..." Looking over to him she wrapped an arm around his neck pressing close like a couple in love. "Get him a double of whatever he orders."
Michael waved off the bartender. "I don't need a double." The man looked at him, about to ask for ID due to his refusal of alcohol. Despite being a cop, he was still underage. One year, but still, law is the law. "Give me a Four Horsemen."
"Your right. No need for a double of that." Michael watched as the bartender made their drinks. Leo's first, which she took and started drinking. Then came Michael's. First a shot glass, one part Jim Beam, one part Jack Daniel's, one part Johnnie Walker Red and finally one part Jameson Irish Whiskey.
"Thanks." Michael took the shot and downed it immediately. It burned like hell but Michael's face didn't show any sign. Setting the glass down he looked to the bartender again. "Beer please." Now that his shot was out of the way he needed something he could nurse for awhile. After getting his beer he thanked the bartender and took Leo's hand and led her to an empty table on the side of the club. They both sat down, Michael taking in his surroundings, looking for a possible dealer. "So." Michael started. "Having fun?" Of all his undercover jobs this was the hardest. He was supposed to be on a date, or pretending in this case, but the problem was he's never been on one. Michael was always to bust with school or work to go out.
"Always having fun when you take me out hun.." she said kissing him on the cheek hearing in her ear piece some of the guys snickering. Not at her, but at Michael who looked uncomfortable or uneasy...maybe both even.
Sucking on his earlobe, holding it between her teeth, Leo whispered. "Better stop looking like it's our first date or we'll be blown Snow.."
Sitting up straight beside him as she worked on her drink, dancing somewhat in place to give the appearance that she was having a great time as the woman in red looked at everything going on around them. The team outside the building waited patiently as they watched the coming and goings of suspicious people though no real hitters like they were looking for. Reaching up Leo checked to make sure the hair clips were still securely on before ordering two jello shots by a waitress passing by. Placing one in his hand and the others in hers she looked like she hadn't had a single drink yet her glass was empty.
"Cheers baby...to a great night!" Raising up the shotglass to him before downing it back in one shot, the LT slammed the glass back on the table turning her head to see if he took his.
"Sorry." Michael mummbled. All this goes to show that while he may be a badass cop, he was still young. And as much as he didn't want to admit it there was still a lot he didn't know. "Cheers." Michael just stared at his shot. He wanted to drink it, he's had them before, he didn't know why he hesitated. Maybe it was the fact that he was still nervous around the LT. Shaking his head, trying to clear his nerves, he downed the shot. After that he quickly finished his beer. "Come on." Michael grabbed Leo's hand. "Lets dance."
The changed as Michael led Leo to the dance floor. He stood there for a moment, letting his body absorb the music. Slowly he started to move, his body rocking to the best as lights flashed around them. All the while he was scanning the club. Leo was pressed against him, moving with him as they danced. Michael's eyes fixated on a possible target, watching as he moved through the club, never staying in one spot for long. Michael's vigilance paid off as not long after spotting him the man made an exchange.
"Found target." Michael said into his mic. "Now's not a good time to make an approach, it'll look weird if I leave the dance floor to soon. Everyone keep eyes on and prepare to make a bust."
"Easy there Michael, no rush here and I do believe your 'date' has it covered...watch and learn." The Captain instructed through the ear piece as the entire time they were moving dancing together on the dance floor. Leo was in a very subtle manner, flirting with the man who gave over the drugs and was invited to join the people they were after. Winking and rubbing her hips against Snow while they danced she looked like just another woman enjoying the music. Except she had that extra flare of seduction which was performed on Michael freely.
"You will let the dealer take me behind that door in three.."
Arms up as she turned away from him and lowered straight back body, down the Sargent's muscular form staring at the dealer who now was watching intently. Holding his waist she turned around in a lower squat, legs together, rotating on her heels to slowly stand back up as her ha ds moved from his waist up towards his chest.
"Don't blow it now.....two..."
Kissing his lips softly biting on his lower lip as she put his hands barely above her ass.
"One..." Grinning as she let go of his lip in a small tug.
"Ahem...mind if I take your date to talk for a moment? I promise to give her back unharmed...just want to show my girl what a real woman can do on this floor." The dealer said as a somewhat lame excuse, the Delta team snickering into the ear pieces.
"Sure, he doesn't mind long as you bring me back in....two minutes? Yes, two minutes for you to introduce me to your girl." Patting Snow's chest in reassurance, the two minutes was the code for him and rest of the team elsewhere to move in at that exact time.
Walking away with the dealer's arms around her waist they disappeared behind the secluded VIP door as the time started to countdown now. While inside she was introduced to the men they been wanting for months now and offered a drink as she served as eye candy. Accepting a shot of Jack, straight, it was a matter of seconds before her time was up. Taking the drink back Leo stepped closer, rubbing the dealer's chest as he wrapped his greedy arms around her ass to give a good squeeze.
"Great job Leo we owe you a few rounds! Alright everyone...move in at three...two....NOW! GO GO GO!!!"
Hearing the order she reached down as if going to his crotch, her other hand in a blink of an eye grabbed one of his guns from the holster on his chest, the the other from the opposite side. Aiming one at the dealer's head and the other gun dead forehead on the boss...
"FREEZE! Delta PD!!"
It all happened so fast. One minute she was there, the next she was gone. Then the bullets started flying as the others burst through the door. Michael kept Leo in his sight as he moved toward her, weapon drawn. "Sorry love," Another guy appeared behind Leo, a gun held to her head. "But you die here."
"Don't think so." Michael killed the man, and the bosses' body guard. "Where'd he go?" Leo and Michael looked around. Michael spotted the dealer going up the stairs. "Shit." Michael sent a glare at Leo before running after him. Following up the stairs they came to the roof. Michael chased the dealer as they jumped rooftops. The dealer crashed through the window of the next building, Michael followed. It was an abandoned building and very dark.
"You think you can catch me?" The dealer's voice radiated around the room.
"Oh I will." Michael crouched, gun ready as he moved through the darkness. Movement out of the corner of his eye caught his attention. It was the dealer making a break for it. But he was on the outside of the building. Michael bolted after him.
"Snow where are you?" Came the captain's voice.
"Chasing the target." He answered.
"He's on the outside of the building, we're gonna take the shot."
"No. He's mine." Michael was closing in.
The captain and the rest of the squad were outside the club standing by the cars. Lights were flashing and bodies were being loaded, and those still alive were being put in the van. "Snow where are you, he's getting away."
"No. He's not." There was a crash. Everyone looked. Michael had crashed through the glass, tackling the dealer. They both landed on a car, the dealer breaking Michael's fall. "Don't fucking move." The dealer had a gun in his face, Michael pulled back the hammer with a click.
Michael tossed the dealer in the van and closed the door. "I'll see you fucks back at the station. We need to have a little chat." Pounding on the back of the van it drove off. Michael rejoined his squad, a hard glare on his face. The others didn't look at him.
"Nice job there Snow." The captain noticed there was a lot on his mind. "Got something to say?"
"You do not, send in officers in tactical gear to make an arrest." His arms were crossed. "You do not approach the target alone. And you do not pull a weapon on the target. This is not how an undercover bust goes down. The officers in the club make the arrest, and the undercover who approached needs to be taken into custody as well to maintain cover if they needed to go under again. See you all back at the station." He was pissed, so pissed he had forgotten that Leo had kissed him and was grinding on him for most of the night.
Michael made his way back to his car, alone. He didn't want to be around anyone right now. Getting in he drove back to the station. Inside a uniformed officer approached him. "What do you want to do with them?"
"Leave'em on ice for a few hours." He walked away, but turned around. "And don't let anyone for the Task Force talk to them."
"Yes sir." The officer saluted, going back to his duties. Back in the squad room Michael removed his leather jacket and shirt, stuffing them in his locker. He went to the training room and decided to pummel the punching. The sound was loud as he gave it everything he got. Michael was still at it when the others returned.
Leona rode back to the police department with the others not happy with Michael for doing what he did, yea they got who they wanted...but not in the way Delta does things. True what they did wasn't by the book...but that's just it. Delta had their own rules they followed by...when they thought it was nessicary at least.
Changing back into her uniform she looked at the mirror in the changing room of hers, peeling off the face she was wearing that day as her disguise which altered her nose, cheek bones, and chin. Enough that her real face underneath was alot cuter by far, walking out with hair pulled up into a tight braid once more. Leo grabbed the Delta's rulebook on her way out with the face still in hand. She was pissed that he didn't think about reading it...or if he did, he missed the first few sentences alright.... They didn't break her identity at all, and if he didn't come in blazing like that she would have had it handled!
Walking into the training room that Michael was in working his frustrations out she let the door slam hard behind to announce her presense.
"Hey Sargent dumbass!!" Storming over she threw the mask as it landed right on his own face. Then threw the book at him but this time making sure he caught it.
"I was in disguise the whole time dammit!! Next time you want to tell the Captain what we do not do.... Read our dam rules!! Better yet...read the first page!!"
The first page after table of contents read as such:
This is the Delta rulebook, we follow our own rules just like we are our own class of PD... If you are not reading this right now, then you didn't read this book right!
Michael closed the book and threw it across the room. "You want to see what you've done?" Michael grabbed her hand and led her to the the squad room. Everyone else was gathered around.
"What the hell?" Eddy asked.
Michael turned on the TV and flipped it over to the news. "See what a breech of protocol can do?"
"We're here outside Lunar night club where a shoot has claimed the lives of several innocent civilians. Those involved were the members of Delta City's Elite Task Force and suspected drug dealers. This incident brings the force's method of operation into question."
Michael flipped the channel.
"At least seven dead."
"They're out of control." Then came the image of Michael tackling the dealer out of a second story window and landing on the car. The captain entered the room and Michael turned off the TV.
"He's right." Several people were surprised the captain said this. "Because of us there are innocent people not going home to their families." The captain now stood before them. "I made a mistake in not trusting your judgement Snow. Just because you're new here doesn't mean you don't know what you're doing. I ignored a good plan and people died." Michael nodded. "We need to start shaping up. Starting tomorrow things are going to change. Now go home. Get some rest."
Several of the men grumbled, not caring how obvious it was that they were not happy. They have done countless of missions successfully with no casulties and then this Sargent comes in and breaks their record?! Everyone changing into civilian wear, Leona wearing a blue tank and jean shorts with some sneakers, the group went out bidding the Captain a good night.
"Well by the book or not we told Leo she'd have a beer on us and I don't plan on going back on my word.... " Lewis said with the agreement of Eddy as they left to catch up with the rest of the squad.
The gang went to their preferred bar, Old Patty's, to take a few minutes to unwind with the best ale he had. Topics from Snow, to protocol, to this night and their now broken record were discussed as well as what they'd have to do from now on via Capt's orders. Leona herself only had one beer as alot weighed on her mind, those with families usually were the first ones to leave to have a good morning with their loved ones. Except that this time they all went home early figuring that it was going to be a long 3 days till their well earned 3 days off. Least the Capt' refused to change that...if he even could considering by PD standards they had to have 2 days off a week just like anyone else and 3 days for week and a half straight.
By 11pm Leo was opening the door to her 3 bedroom house, greeted by her two German Shepards that were designated Police Dogs but stayed home the past two nights because of the mission tonight. "Hey Maximus...Thor... How's my boys doing hmmm?"
Licks and happily wagging tails were her response before she took a good, hot shower and after a quick meal of lasaugna she made ahead of time. The LT went to bed and soon feel fast asleep with a throwing knife under her pillow and the dogs sleeping on her bed. At times she'd joke she never needed a man in bed with the dogs who were plenty warm and loved to be held. Smiling at the thought with her eyes closed as she pet the side of Thor until sleep took over.
