Air was pacing, walking back and forth, back and forth as she waited for the night. She couldn't go out during the day, there were far too many people, too many chances to get spotted. It was true that Air took a lot of chances, a lot of risks, but her risking a run outside now would effect not only herself but everyone else she was protecting. And besides, who would be stupid enough to do that anyway?

So she paced. She paced and checked a pocket watch she had found on the street once for the time. 6:30. The sun should be going down soon... she needed to take a look around for... something. She couldn't explain it, she just needed to look.

The sky had started to turn a dull grayish colour reminding Air of the walls in the chambers... the walls and the screaming and the fear and the blood and the sweat and-

She stopped, calmed down, took a deep breath. Enough. She couldn't think of this now, she had to focus. She had to be a strong leader. She was Air, after all. The one who got away.

Keith glanced around, his eyes swishing and roaming over the area, scanning as they'd been trained to. Keith liked the dusk. It felt good to get sun on his face, even if it was only when he took off his hoodie for brief moments.

Keith sidestepped as a pack of wolves passed him. He smiled at their alpha male and there was a connection. He related to the wolf. They were both leaders, the difference is the wolf's pack was still very much alive. Keith's was decimated and locked away god knows where.

He looked into the horizon and saw the factory in the distance. Air always had a word to say to him. Always did when he went out in the open daylight. Keith knew Air was just jealous. Keith was among the only one at the hideout who could go out during the day. He wasn't wanted anymore, he was 'dead'. He slipped into the factory and took a few turns and freight elevators followed by a passageway with a hidden door. Then down the staircase he saw Air and waved a quick hello. Here it comes.

Alexander was getting restless waiting for nightfall. Digging through his bag, he found a small box of cigarettes. The others complained about it sometimes, so he would casually stroll outside before lighting up. On his way out, he thought about the life he left behind.

Be it by mistake or cruel design, his dreams have been plagued with....something that he could not identify. He did not like it. Was it this "pain" that Air went on about? On a subconscious level, he knew that the concept of the Utopia was flawed. that when people violate the rules of the land they "disappear," and everyone just forgets about them, or doesn't think about them. What about their families? Do they still not exist in their minds? Alexander went on to think about his family. The loved ones he left behind. Alexander opened a door to the outside. He knew that around this time families were all readying themselves for dinner. No one would notice him smoking, so he withdrew a cigarette and lit it up. It was going to be a long night, he felt.

Air raised her eyebrow. She didn't get mad easy but she knew what he was thinking. As he was "dead", he thought he could go out and nothing would matter. No. The police, what few there seemed to be were always watching, something Air learned when she was captured. They always see. And if they catch even one glimpse of his face, they'll know something's up. Why? Because there's records, records of those meant to be dead. If they see a face that matches one who has died, they're suddenly right on your trail.

She knew Keith saw himself as a leader and therefor didn't accept her as the one in charge. But she was. A sudden flair of pain shot through her body, and she narrowed her eyes. "They see you, you know. It doesn't matter if they think you're dead, you can't go out anyway, it jeopardizes the whole rebellion, especially if they see some random guy constantly come back to an old beat-up abandoned factory. It's suspicious."

She knew he'd only dismiss this, but she had to try to get it through his head that he wasn't invincible, and even if he was, more lives than his were at stake.

Parker's eyes held longing as she stared out the window of the warehouse. She hated this, waiting till the sun when down to go out. She missed the feeling of the sun on on her skin, but mainly she missed the feeling of being free. The ability to go outside whenever she felt like it.

On the other hand, she would never go back and change her past. Generally she was happy here. She remember's the feeling of being out of place in her old life, ones of loneliness, a feeling that everything was a lie and wondering if there was more to life.

As she was thinking, she was throwing knives in to a homemade target. Each one that she had thrown while thinking was stuck in the middle of the target, right on the money.

The sun could not go down any slower.

Lea rubbed her eyes, which were watering from chopping up onions she had acquired by less than legal means as she dumped the vegetable into the already cooking stew. She hummed to herself quietly and gave the stew a quick stir to mix in the onions. It was only a vegetable stew, but it was food. It was enough to feed everyone who lived in the fort. She never knew if the others would decide to bum food off of her or not. So, she made plenty. Besides, stew kept well. The leftovers could be eaten later.

Placing the lid on the pot, she left it to boil. She crossed the room that currently served as a makeshift kitchen, though she wouldn't be surprised if it was replaced with more bed-space, and stuck her head out into the hallway. To her, the fort seemed to be more active at night. Probably because most couldn't go out in broad daylight. She was always curious to see what was going on, not that she was generally much use. Still, Pip tried to be as useful as possible. These were the people who could bring about change. At least, thats what she believed.

As the last embers of his cigarette reached the end, Alexander contemplated having another. Through the closed door, he could hear Air giving Keith another lecture about going out in the day light. Insisting he not be a part of that shtick, he popped another cigarette out of the box, and proceeded onto his second one of the night. Before he went outside, he could smell Lea cooking something. He had eaten her food before. Lea was a talented little cook. Not that Alex ever verbalized that to her. The only person in that place that solicited more than ten words from him in one sentence was Air. He respected her for reasons he did not know. He ran a hand through what was left of his jet-black hair. When he left his life behind, he cropped his hair short, in an attempt to disguise himself. As he worked on his cigarette, he shut his eyes and reflected on his past life in solemn silence.

Pip popped back in to turn the flame down so that a fire wasn't a real risk if left unattended for a brief period of time. With that, she made her way upward. She could hear their mysterious leaders voice lecture one of the others. From the sound of things, it was probably Keith. She chuckled to herself before continuing to make her way quietly through the fort until she reached an exit, which she pushed open just a crack to peer outside.

Lea's nose twitched at the smell of tobacco. She wasn't overly fond of it. She was careful not to let on to that fact. Someone was outside. Due to the angle of the door, she couldn't quite make out who it was. However, it would be silly for a stranger to come all this way just to have a smoke. Tentatively, she opened the door a bit more. "Good evening" She greeted the man she now recognized as Alex, though she knew she wouldn't get much of a reply. "I have a stew on if you're hungry." She continued.

Keith sighed and let out a miniscule chuckle. "Yeah, spare me the riot act, Air. I get it. How stupid do you think I am anyway? I let my hair hang low over my face and wear a hoodie. And I never wear my belt when I'm out. Too identifiable. Not like they're looking for me edge-wise and I do have a contact or two that I need to keep up on the inside. Don't worry, they don't know my name, I'm just The Dealer to them." He and Air seldom saw eye to eye. Mostly because they both had strong leadership qualities. Though he liked to think there was a mutual respect between them even if it was unspoken. Not like Keith tried to lead anymore, not after he led his last team into the ground, but he didn't recieve orders well.

As sun the sun began its slow descent Eva felt a sudden jolt of panic. For a moment she began to doubt her decision to leave home. But it was only a moment.

Realizing she'd stopped in her tracks, she continued onwards. Since she'd left she'd been attempting to pick up the trail of anything, anything at all that might help Monika, or at least enlighten her. But she'd found nothing. Her only lead was whispers in the air of a rebellion, but there was no solid proof: whenever she asked she was shunned and when she tried to listen people would walk away. Clearly she wasn't as stealthy as she thought.

The only thing she felt she could do was wander to more abandoned areas until she arrived... Wherever she was. Clearly there was no one living in the area. With a sigh, she was about to turn back, but quickly hid behind a building when she heard footsteps.

It was a boy, or so she thought. She was too scared to look properly. All she could gather was that he had a set destination in mind, even though he had paused to look at some wolves. What was running through his mind she had no idea. But why would a boy be heading to an abandoned area? And was he living on is own? He didn't look sickly, and he had an air of... rebellion about him.

Her only lead, she watched as he walked towards an abandoned factory, never leaving her position until he was out of sight. She hadn't seen him actually enter the structure, but what better place to hide and live?

When the coast was clear she moved until she reached the doors of the factory. She paused at the entrance and peered inside, then looked about her outside. It was getting dark, and if someone was here she would surely appreciate their help. However, she didn't want to intrude. So, she did the only thing that came to mind...

"Hello?" she called quietly into the darkness. After a few moments, her heart beating rapidly, nervously, she called again. This time, she could hear her echo. "Hello?"
