Username: Alika Kimioshi
Name: Rin
Gender: female
Age: 19
(second year in college)
Job: Chef
Appearance: Alika has long black hair reaching past her waist; that is normally pulled up in some sort of pony tail. In the sunlight her hair has almost blue highlights and shine to it. Her eyes are the color of the murky blue sea, having almost a greenish tint to them. Her completion itself is usually pale however anytime she is in the sun for long periods of time she tans to a wonderful golden brown that seems to suit her far better then her natural porcelain color. Alika stands at about 5’6 in height a bit taller then the average girl but that is not any of her concern since she cant wear heels.
Personality: Alika has always been an out-going and rather determined girl; if she has a goal just don’t get in her way. While she may love and be extremely loyal to her friends it is not uncommon for her to be extremely blunt towards them; this is a mild issue but it’s a sign of trust for Alika. If you are a real friend you should always let your friends know straight up, doesn’t matter what it is, if it needs to be said it should. Alika is also a bit tough around the edges, she will not let any guy put her down or harm her esteem; as she says
‘they don’t matter only what your heart believes matters’.
This tough girl attitude has lead to many things in her personality. Such as for instance, she almost never cries and even retaliates in anger to stress instead of the tears. Alika is in fact a bit of a feminist thinking there is nothing that guys can do that girls can’t; this attitude especially comes out in the kitchen. She is not someone who will tolerate bullying, sexist remarks, or unwelcomed sexual advances. In truth she has been able to do things in her culinary school that other guys simply couldn’t, like butcher a live rabbit for example. Despite all her rough edges and touch exterior Alika is in fact sweet and loving towards friends. She will be there any time you need her even bringing you home made comfort food if you’re upset or sick. That is simple her more nurturing side coming out, a side that was nearly lost with the death of her younger brother.
Biography: For the most part Alika had a fairly normal life; A loving mother, a caring and authoritative father, and of course a younger brother. Alika’s brother was four years younger then her, so she distinctly remembers the day he was born and seeing him for the first time in the hospital. It was glorious, the two became nearly inseparable, even when he went to school she would wait for him to be let out and walk home with him. She would solve his bully issues first hand often showing her tough side to them. With a little effort and well some fights the kids left her brother alone.
The years past and this bond the two shared was still very prevalent. However everything would change one day when Alika was twelve. In an effort to surprise her brother she dashed to the store to grab his favorite sweet treat, running back to the school in a rush. She got their only five minutes after it let out, and she stood waiting for her brother to come outside and go home with her. She was normally the pick up for him so the teachers would not have left a elementary student go home without some form of proof you were indeed the child’s parent. So there she stood…for nearly three hours waiting on someone who was no longer in the school building.
Her parents eventually picked her up at her brother’s school finding her easily after the principle called them to escort her after dark. The moment they pulled up, the parents realized her brother was missing. Alika looked almost shocked or blank, confused even as she sat in the back seat her parents worried driving around trying desperately to find him as her mother sat in the passenger sear calling the police. Tears streamed down her mothers face, but Alika took to the event like her father acting tough to keep her mother from freaking out anymore.
Eventually after about two weeks they found a body, it was in fact her younger brother he had been dumped into a river near large shrine. The person who killed him was actually one of the faculty at the school; her work had been slowly declining and she was scheduled for a employee mental evaluation but it was too late. She had already went insane it was a mental instability caused by a large brain tumor, none the less the women was banned from teaching her world ruined in one instance. Just like how Alika’s family was ruined. It was then that the sweet and caring side she showed to her brother nearly died.
~~~~~~~~~Aunt time (after brother's death)~~~~~~~~~
In this time of crisis Alika was sent to live with her aunt, while her parents sorted things out and got counseling. Her aunt was in fact a famous chef; she actually had already published several books and opened a few restaurants across Japan. While she didn’t have much time to give to Alika what little time she did, she spent with Alika teaching her to cook. Her aunt said that you can express many things through food, even emotions and stories. This process actually caused the two to bond as they discussed things while cooking. Eventually Alika simply broke down and cried on her aunt, telling her how she truly felt; that if she hadn’t of gone to the store her brother would be safe and alive.
Her aunt simply sighed knowing this would happen sooner or later, the only thing she said to the crying girl was this ‘
You can’t change the past. Just know you did nothing wrong you wanted to surprise him, but your brother wouldn’t want to see you unhappy would he? You know how much he cared, so do what makes you happy and take charge of your life.’. In these words of inspiration a new girl was born the Alika you know today was molded. Due to the bond over simply cooking she realized she could touch people’s hearts and of course make sure people enjoy themselves through cooking, and thus her goal was set; to become a chef.
~~~~~~~~~Present day~~~~~~~~~
In the present Alika attends Japans best culinary institute. Now being in her second year there she is already top of her class. The attitude and out look on life that she learned from her ever caring aunt now expressed clearly in the kitchen. Her food seems to amaze and astound her teachers, in truth they say she has so much potential it is almost like she puts everything into her food. The talent and skill of putting your own emotion into food is usually lacked in young students, however Alika had a great teacher growing up. The guys in her classes at first did not respect a female wanna-be chef however after only a few times of working with her they realized that she was already far beyond their level of skill. The techniques she had perfect in comparison to the teachers, it was all because she was trained and lived with one of the best female chef’s in Japan.
As for what happened to her parents, they got a divorce and asked what Alika would like to do. Seeing as how she was merely 15 by the time the two were separate she did have some legal say in what she wanted. Alika chose to primarily live with her aunt who could in fact sustain her and alternating weekends she would visit each parent. To this day she is no longer comfortable around her parents; the drama that happened when she was young still bothers her. Inwardly she almost expects them to blame her even now for her brother’s death however they are proud. All three of her guardians attend any event she is required to cater, and they all look at the girl they helped raise with pride.
Extras: Alika has a tattoo on her rib it says her brothers name, birth date, and death date in wonderful black script. This tattoo was gotten as soon as she turned 18, without any second thought or say into the idea. Also for some strange reason she had always held excellent aim, meaning in archery or simply throwing things be warned.
