Ricky extended his hand to Shae and used her weight to help himself get to his feet. "Yeah, I'm..." began the new trainer before Tidus came back to apologize for nearly trampling him and Chomp. "Oh, it's okay. I'm just really uncoordinated and should have been paying more attention."

Wrapping his hand around the potion he quickly placed it in the bag that hung from his shoulders. Chomp really wasn't hurt badly enough for a potion right now but it would help as he began to scout for Pokemon the way to Vermillion city.

Seeing the situation unfolding below, though, Wing soared down through the air to perch defensively on her trainer's shoulder. "Ah, I'm Ricky by the way! And this is Wing, and Chomp," said Ricky as he pointed to his two Pokemon. "We're starting our journey today."

"Cha-ha A new trainer! Well I'm sorry your journey started on such a sour note. You need to constantly train on your journey and use your youth when you can." Tidus got on his hands with this and began walking on them following Tortera. "If you do you will be able to win all the badges in Kanto and challange the Indego Platou!" Tidus began charging straight twoards Tortera still on his hands, and was gaining ground fast. "Kyah!" he screamed ignoring the blood rushing to his head and running on his hands.

"If we meet again we will battle!" Tidus hollard behind him, "But now I need to catch my Tortera!" Tortera was already half way and on his hind legs now. Tidus wanted to hurry his old friend would be glad to see him and hear his news.

Laura yawned and rolled reluctantly out of bed. She had gone back to Viridian city for a visit to he parents. Of course, that meant she also got a good nights sleep in a real bed. Even her pokemon got the five start treatment. All of them were sleeping soundly in beds set up around the room. Well, everyone except of Bella, her beloved Ponyta. She had to sleep outside. Still, she had all the grass she desired there. Still, the Ponyta's situation was pretty good too.

"Alright guys!" Laura called, waking them up. Her pokemon didn't complain about being woken up. They were used to their trainer's serious nature. Despite it, they were still well cared for. In an hour, they were back in their poke balls. She was debating heading down route one to visit professor oak. She thought better of it though. He'd probably be busy. Instead, she decided to go train in the forest for awhile before heading off again on her journey.

After a quick good bye to her parents and Chansey, she found herself amongst the trees. She brought out Flora, her Oddish, first, as she was the newest addition to the team and could used some training. "Alright, Flora! Lets get too it!"

Shae made a sound that seemed like a short chuckle, as Tidus hurried away. She the turned to Ricky and smiled.
"My name's Shae Black," She said and left it at that. If this boy had any knowledge of what it would take to be a trainer, he'd know exactly who she was. Shae had a reputation for ending training careers, when her opponents lost their matches so badly they gave up on battling all together. It wasn't a reputation she was particularly proud of, but it wasn't her philosophy to let just any trainer waltz out with a badge.

"Good luck on your journey, Ricky. Remember that a strong mind is just as important as a strong body, and I will look forward to battling you. Oh! Here..." She reached inside her bag and pulled out a business card that her number on it.

"If you have a pokegear, you are welcome to add my number. I'm not always at my gym, so my apprentices usually battle in my name. If you really want a challenge, just give me a call when you're in Saffron City, and I can be there before you know it." With that she tucked her book back under her arm and started for the lab again.

"It was....um...nice meeting you!" She said as she waved.

    Ivory Chance; Cycling Road

Nurse Joy handed Ivory back her pokemon - they had all been examined and seemed to be in good health. "Everything checks out," said Nurse Joy. "Your pokemon are in tip-top condition, no problems what so ever - I would give this to Mareep, though," she said while handing Ivory a small pouch filled with tiny round blue pills. "This will help - I think she's just picked up a bit a stomach virus - nothing to serious. Just make sure she keeps well-rested, and try to avoid battling with her."

"Will do, Nurse Joy!" Ivory said happily. She took her pokeballs and attached them all to her belt. Raichu never went into his pokeball for the simple fact that Ivory preferred him outside of his pokeball and with her at all times.

Raichu smiling up at his trainer and Ivory looked at Sam, who was given back his pokemon and his egg, which was now in an incubator. As Nurse Joy handed him the egg, she said, "I took the liberty of putting the egg in an incubator - it will keep the egg safer, and it will help lower the waiting period on the egg hatching."

"Thank you, Nurse Joy," Sam said, sounding relived.

Ivory looked at Sam and Nurse Joy, growing impatient. Finally she wailed, "SAM! WE NEED TO GET GOING NOW! WHAT IF THE GYM LEADER LEAVES?!"

Sam flinched at Ivory yelled before saying, "Ivory, he's not going to leave -"

"HE MAY IF WE DON'T HURRY IT THE HECK UP!"

Sam sighed heavily and said, "Okay, okay, we're going - thank you again, Nurse Joy. Take care."

"You too!" Nurse Joy called after them, as Ivory had grabbed Sam's wrist and pulled him out of the Pokemon Center.

She mounted her bike and Raichu jumped in the basket. Sam had just gotten the egg situated in the bike basket by the time Ivory took off.

"Ivory!" he shouted after her. "Ivory, wait up!"

    Sam Manning; Cycling Road

Sam was panting heavily by the time he caught up with Ivory - despite his many pleads, the young girl refused to slow down. He was quite weary, actually, from trying to keep up with her. Sam never recalled her having this much energy when they were kids. However, that was nine years ago, and a lot seemed to have changed - not only with Ivory, but with Sam, too.

Just as Sam was about to suggest to Ivory that they take a short brake, the tiny trainer suddenly shouted, "THERE'S FUCHSIA!"

He looked up, and surely enough, Fuchsia City was visible on the horizon - they were making spectacular time thanks to Ivory's anticipation for her next gym battle. To no one's surprise, Ivory's pace only quickened, and Sam was relived when it came time to go down hill - it would give his legs a chance to recover from biking for a few moments before continuing the long haul - at this pace, that would been in Fuchsia City in no less than an hour.
"If you are what you eat, then does that mean Voldemort is a unicorn?"
"If that's the case, that means Voldemort is a horny Death Eater."

"Shh. . . . Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
"That's the sound of people drowing, Carl."
"That's what forgiveness sounds like: screaming and then silence."

"Friendship is two pals muching on a well-cooked face together."

"Oh, that was a foot - I've appear to have swallowed an entire person."
"That would be the hotel bar-tender."
"Well, that explains why my Mijito is taking so long."
"It was horrifying - your mouth unhinged like a snake."
    "Wow, that sounds pretty awesome."

"I want to go home - we're leaving."
"In that case, I should probably mention I filled our luggage with orphan meat."
    "Wh-what?!"
"Well, I'm building a Meat Drag and not just any meat will do."

Shae Black?! She was the Saffron City Gym Leader! He hadn't even made it out of Pallet Town and here he was meeting a Gym Leader? Taking the business card he watched Shae travel off towards the Professor's lab. "Wow, Chomp, Wing, did you see that? We've already met our first Gym Leader!"

Excitedly the trio began moving down Route 1 towards Viridian City! He would be sure to train hard on the way, especially if he wanted to challenge the Gym there as well!

    A few days earlier…

Terran was walking around Viridian City, taking his time as he was enjoying the towns scenery. He would look towards the pokemon center and then back to the pokemart, looking at some of the new trainers coming from other places such as Pallet, Cerulean, and even further away places such as Fushia and Cinnabar Islad. This made Terran remember the days when he was as excited as they were when he started out as a pokemon trainer. The path they were about to embark on made Terran in a way envy as well as pitty them. It did not matter, Terran was still up to any challenge set before him, and wanted to embark on new journeys.

“As always, it’s never tiring seeing new potential walk in front of me daily.” He said as he got a call from one of the higher ups of Team Rocket. “You know where you’re supposed to be Terran. Now hurry up and get there.” The phone then hang up. Terran said to himself “This is going to be a ridiculous walk.” As he began walking towards Fuchsia City.

    Current time…

“Finally!!!” Terran said to himself as he finally made it within the city walls of Fuchsia. From here, he was supposed to find an unusual mailbox for instructions for what he was about to do. Yes, Team Rocket had a plan, but it has to start in Fuchsia before they can officially put it into action, atleast for Terran. Terran was looking around for the “Unusual Mailbox” to find out what his plans were. At last, he found an old abandoned home with a letter partially sticking out of the mailbox. “Eureka” he said as he slowly and carefully went to the old house. He then went to the front door next to the mailbox and slipped the letter out of it, making sure to look around in case anyone saw him. He then tucked the letter away in his backpack for future reference as he began to slowly walk away from the house.

A few moments of walking later, he found a pokemon center that he could rest at for a little while. He then walked into the pokemon center, which was kind of crowded at this time, and walked towards one of the tables and sat. He then put his backpack next to his seat on the ground and began searching for the letter he was supposed to receive, then opened it up and began to read it. “This is absurd!” He said quietly yet enthusiastically. “How are they expecting me to carry out something at this magnitude? It doesn’t matter, I’ve been given a mission, and now it must be completed." Terran then tore the letter up, rolled it up into a ball, and made a shot into the trash can with success. “Bullseye!” He said excitedly.

In the mean time however, Terran began to lounge back a little bit, kicking his feet up onto the table while his chair was leaned back and his hands behind his head. Terran was open for the ability to meet new people, but it seemed everyone was too busy with their own personal things in order to worry about anything else. So Terran pulled out a lemonade from his backpack and began to slowly drink it. “I hope I don’t get too bored. It’s been a while since I’ve actually got to mingle with people.”

Laura and Flora had been training for a good half hour. Flora was tired, but Laura new she still had the energy to keep going. She wasn't going to let her Oddish quit just because she was a little tired. It is the push that makes one stronger. At least, that is was Laura always believed. "Come on, Flora! Lets go for one more!" She encouraged the pokemon.

Flora looked back at her trainer. She didn't want to disappoint Laura. To demonstrate her merit, she let forth a rain of bullet seeds into the trees. In the process, she accidentally hit a beedrill. The latter prompltly turned to charge at the pokemon and trainer. Flora, having a tendency to be a bit skittish, darted behind Laura.

Laura grabbed Oddish and turned to run. She held the pokemon up in front of her. "I know you can do this, Flora!" She told the Oddish. "Now, use energy ball on that beedrill!" She turned to point Oddish toward the oncoming wild pokemon. Flora gulped, but she obeyed. Leaping out of Laura's arms, she attacked. The ensuing battle was over quickly. Oddish just barely managed to beat the beedrill. It had been pretty strong and Flora was already tired from training.

With a satisfied smile, Laura recalled Oddish into the poke ball. "Good job" She said. Placing the ball back on her belt, she turned to head off through Viridian forest in the direction of Pewter City.

    Soul in Fuchsia

"chime chime-chime" Chimeco said to Soul as it danced around Happily.

" yes I am aware Chimeco, the wind has changed Directions. It's time for a new beginning." He patted chimeco and then went inside the Gym.

The gym was huge since it was also his home. The Battle ground was made of steel and the pokemon symbol displayed in the middle like every other stadium. The place was two floors incase some wanted to view the match. The ref. was a cousin of his who was over 50 years old. He had a lot of experience so he helped traine Soul for a massive amount of his life. Soul's pokemon also have come to become fond of him and his nice aura.

Soul stood in the arena and looked at the floor. The floor that he had trained all his childhood. Chimeco remembers it well too. Ditto wad a present from his dad before he had passed away. And Chimeco was from his mother who was in a tragic boat accident that only chimeco survived. It was still a mistery but soul didn't like talking about it. The Day was beautiful and the city was calm. "I wonder if any trainers will come by today." He yawned and stood outside looking at the flowers from the entrance of the gym.

The morning became very warm as the day wore on, and Angelina could feel it on her back through her coat as she sat on the ground at the head of Route 1. What was taking everyone so long? She was supposed to be meeting some new trainers that morning, but it seemed that no one was coming. Sneasel had long since picked a large hole in the grass beside her, and was looking for something interesting to do to while away the time. She got up and started plodding down Route 1.

"Hang on." Angelina said as she pushed herself onto her feet and started after Sneasel. It was refreshing exercise, and it gave Angelina a chance to feel the breeze on her face. They kept to the pathways as they made their way down the hill, occasionally straying through a gap in the trees to make a short cut.

A long, wordless time passed before something interesting came into view: another trainer. He was just about as tall as Angelina was, so she assumed he was just about her age, maybe older. He had short, blonde hair, and when he looked up at Angelina, she saw that he had very bright green eyes. Following close on his heels were a Totodile and a Starly.

"Hey there!" she called out, and picked up the pace to meet the trainer sooner, and before long was standing right in front of him. "Hey, were you on your way to Viridian? I was supposed to be meeting some new trainers up there, but so far you're the only new face I've seen all day. I'm Angelina, by the way. What's your name?"

Sneasel looked up quizzically at her trainer, owing to the sudden talkativeness after about half an hour of quiet reflection. She peered around Angelina's leg at the Starly, and raised an eyebrow in thought.
