The white Alphess lifted her nose to the sky and took in all the scents, one scent in particular catching her attention. Her stomach grumbled and she took one last glance around before taking off deeper into the woods. She was alone. Just the way she liked it. Claidi tended to be a bit more on edge with others around her. But when alone, she had the freedom to think and be careless. With others, she was constantly worrying. It was her duty to keep her pack safe. If she didn't, she failed as an Alpha. She failed proving to all who doubted her that she can run a pack. Some thought she was way too cocky and carefree. She was going to end up getting herself and the pack killed. She was no more than a pup in their eyes. And really, they had every reason to think that. Claidi thinks of herself as the big bad she-wolf. Nobody messes with her. She laughs in the face of danger. She was "invincible." No matter how old she got and no matter how many cuts in her pelt, she was a fighter.
She came to a stand-still, panting heavily as she took in her surroundings. She was close. She could almost taste the goat's blood on her tongue. Other scents distracted her, she was near a large farm. Her ears swiveled, taking in the sounds of the barn. A bit of drool dripped from her tongue. Oh, how she longed for a chicken or a cow. A cow was pushing it a little, they were hard to take down alone. She'd had a nice plump chicken only once, right off the table, fresh out of the oven. The townspeople were after her for hours. But it was definitely worth it. She found her self making her way towards the farm, she growled to herself. No.
Her ears perked, something was moving. She quickly crouched and her yellow eyes peered through the brush and found a big splotch of white, moving slowly. A young goat, he was grazing. It wasn't a domestic goat. The townspeople didn't keep this type of goat. This goat was not fully grown yet, easy prey. Her muscles rippled as she waited. She was anxious. The goat was moving extremely slow, but with each step he got closer to the she-wolf. She dug her claws deeper into the cool dirt. Just a little while longer. She was surprised the goat hadn't noticed her yet. Everything was green and orange and brown, the colors of fall. The she-wolf contrasted greatly with her surroundings as she was bright white. Claidi grew more and more anxious as the seconds ticked by and soon enough she just got too impatient and pounced. She was airborne for too long, a stupid mistake, the goat had enough time to notice and flee. Her front claws just barely caught the goat's rear, but did little harm to the animal.
The Alphess chased after the goat. As she ran, Claidi noticed the ground beneath her went from dirt to rock. Eventually, the goat skidded to a stop and let out a cry of despair. It had reached the edge of a cliff. In the back of Claidi's mind, she knew she had to stop, or things may end badly. But her mind was in kill-mode, she had no time to consider the consequences of her next move. With a snarl, she pounced. Her claws dug into the goats shoulders and her mouth enclosed around it's throat. The two plummeted to the ground below. The goat died instantly once it hit the ground.
Claidi stepped off of her lunch and shook out her fur. She was unharmed, a little sore from landing on the goat so hard, but she was fine. After checking her surroundings, she began to eat her lunch.

Her paws thundered against the ground beneath her, feathers flew everywhere, leaving a trail. Men shouted and gunshots fired, all missing their target. Blanca was a black blur and the townspeople didn't have a chance, they would never catch up to her. Her golden eyes were wide in fear. She could die at any second, and that thought never left her mind. She could die at any second because she let her hunger get the best of her. Her little legs were growing tired, she was practically choking on feathers as she panted. The shouting was faint now, the townspeople were pretty far away. She had time to eat. Blanca dropped the chicken and began eating.
Soon enough, Blanca was on the run again. Leaving a small pile of bones, blood and feathers behind. She moved slower this time, the shouting had stopped. She didn't understand why they made such a fuss over such a small creature. They had tons of chickens. What was the big deal?
She slowed to a walk and took a careful around. This was somebody else's territory, she was a little on edge. The snapping of a twig caused her hackles to raise and muscles to tense. She growled a warning and looked around. A male stepped from the shadows. Black pelt and soft, yellow eyes. He could be her twin, only he was larger and older.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"Why?" Blanca snapped. The male's soft and kind gaze did not change even though she was being completely hostile. Ace was used to this kind of behavior. Claidi was his sister, afterall.
"Why are you here?"
"Why do you keep asking me stupid questions?!" Blanca snarled. The male just stared at her for a moment. They stood silent while he did. Blanca bared her teeth slightly.
"Follow me," the male simply said before he turned and walked off in the opposite direction. Blanca stood, confused. What? She was not being very nice, yet he wanted her to follow him? She wasn't sure what to do. This all seemed kind of sketchy. But of course, curiosity got the best of her and she followed far behind the male, back to what she would soon learn was Claidi's, her 'long-lost' cousin's, pack.
