Mass Effect
In the Bahak system, a huge cruise freighter apparently unaware to the current events and the looming possibility of a pirate attack over their shoulders floated next to the planet Clogon, lying underneath the supreme energy and the vast, super powerful heat of the sun. Aboard the cruise freighter are various members of the high society, all relishing in alcohol and fine dining around the beautiful main deck. A mixture of all council races stand talking, and by every door stood a duo of guards, each made up of multiple races. The hosts of the cruise liner sat at the top of the suite on a table covered with platters of all types of food, from all nationalities and species. Krogan Gumbo, Texan Ribs, Asarii Clethoraptyx Hot pot. A few flashes dotted the night sky, new to the eye, yet ignored by the ignorance and bliss of the passengers. Being a cruise-liner did not mean that the ship had a lack of cannons, as it had been designed by Turian generals and manned with Turian cannons to protect against Pirate ships or heavy assault from enemy races, but none of its defensive prepared them for what was coming. A flash of bright blue light shone the dark sky and engulfed the ship, tearing through dimensions, the explosion of a Mass Relay point, the power of a supernova. The last sound anyone heard on that ship was the creaking of metal and the screams of the passengers and the solar winds that stroked the hull.
Star Wars
In Jedi space, monitoring a breach between dimensions, the Clone ship ‘Alexandria’ sits atop the rift, floating in the deep void. A set of 4 Jedi, 2 masters and 2 Palawan’s, accompanied by 5000 clone troopers. The order had been issued by Mace Windu and Yoda, who had come to believe that the rift could cause great chaos, or great understanding of extra-dimensional beings, if they came into contact with any. The ship was covered in defensive equipment, cannons and powerful beams, a true battle-ship; it would definitely come to need it. After a few hours, Droid forces had also got wind of the rift, and had sent several battle-ships to flank Alexandria. A battle was waged and as Alexandria was slowly pushed into a dire situation, the Captain did something extremely surprising, lowering the ship and disappearing through the rift, which then pulsed several times and then disappeared, as if it was never there, leaving wreckage and three huge droid warships.
Gears of War
In the city of Char on the planet of Sera, the Cog squad, Zeta, stood against the oncoming locust and Lambent onslaught, whilst dealing with sabotage and murder by the grief stricken Stranded. As the onslaught continues, the squad number is reduced to a measly number of ten, whereas it was 25 the day before. Armed with Lancers with other Cog equipment, they run low on ammunition and as night falls, those on guard duty pray to whoever they believe in for help, whether they get it or not will all be revealed.
This game takes place mainly on the Cog and Gorasni homeworld Sera. It is mainly a joining between 3 of the biggest epic saga’s in the game and film industry. The destruction that occurs in Arrival, the Mass Effect 2 DLC causes a rift in both the Mass Effect universe, and the Star Wars universe, bringing them into the beginning of the end stages of the Locust war on Sera.
I chose these games because I thought they would be a rather interesting mix, but if anyone has any ideas they would like to give during the roleplay I would be glad to look them over.
Players will be able to play as either Clone troops or Jedi (Providing that there are Jedi spaces still available). Council soldiers or mercenaries, yes, that means you can choose to be Human, Krogan, Turian, Asarii, Salarian, Elcor or even Hanar. Players will also be able to control members of Zeta squad or friendly stranded, who are currently trapped in the city of Char that is visited in the popular game Gears of War 3.
Star wars races are also allowed to be played as the Jedi’s, but nothing stupid like Pure Sith playing Jedi’s, that’s just stupid. And be sure to link a page of information to the race that you have chosen.
Rules:
1.No god modeling or meta-gaming. A member of Zeta company would probably not survive in a fight against a war-hardened Krogan mercenary, just as a Krogan mercenary wouldn’t be able to withstand a full on slash by a Jedi’s light saber.
2. Let’s try to stick to the lore guys, too much exposure to Emulsion will cause Lambency, weapons require ammunition etc.
3. Raw ammo is not compatible with guns of other races
Such as: Lancer ammo will not go into a Clones Assault Rifle.
4. A special rule I have decided to implement, the force and Biotic abilities are NOT THE SAME. Although they may share the same implications, Jedi’s describe biotic abilities as a genetic chaos, one that cannot be calmed like the force, yet shares similar powers. Biotic abilities could be classed as more powerful, but the force being faster and more maneuverable.
5. Omni-blades CAN counter against Light sabers, but they are not as flexible and are therefore not as useful.
6. Serans have force potential, but apart from Humans and Asarii, no other race in the Mass Effect lore do, which means they only have access to Biotic abilities.
7. Romance is encouraged as long as it furthers the depth of the role-play, I don’t want pointless flings within the RP that mean absolutely nothing, because then there’s no point to it.
8. It says sexual content for a reason, but let’s not get too graphic about it, this is not Smut.
That’s basically it. I’ll add more as I see fit.
All the different types of man have a different build.
Seran human: Bulkier and very muscled, however they are slower than the Earth Human or the Clone/Jedi troops. They can also take much more damage than the other types of humans, with armor on they can take huge amounts of damage.
Earth Human: Just imagine a fit human’s physique
Jedi/Clone troops: Skinny and swift, but more susceptible to damage, certain clones can be augmented with tough skin like filaments and other things but they are only commanders, as it is important that they are protected.
Jedi’s can deflect energy weapons (other than the Hammer of Dawn), however, with weapons such as the lancer, they have to rely on their enhanced reflexes and force powers to avoid them, as their light sabers do not deflect regular bullets, it is the same with weapons from Mass Effect.
Also, biotic abilities will become yellow as a person is infected with Lambency.
