Damon emerged from the bushes, tongue flicking over hungry lips. His plan was to lure a pretty girl away, and the one standing off near the parked cars talking on her cellphone presented the perfect opportunity. A sheep wandering from the drunken flock. He wouldn't kill this one. Tearing them apart so the authorities cried wolf, or mountain lion, or whatever animal local hunters had seen lately, only worked for so long. Eventually people wised up and grabbed their stakes - especially in this town. His opportunity to strike presented itself as she hung up her phone and slipped it back into her pocket. He was standing before her in a second, ready to glamour her so she wouldn't scream... "Katherine?"

[Vampiress Angel]

Elaina was on the phone trying to get her parents to pick her up. It was the school year get together at the woods and there was drinking. "Yes mother I will be ok." She sighed softly and closed the phone with a soft click when she said her goodbyes. After putting her phone in her pocket she jumped when she felt her hair gently lift but there was no wind. The voice filtered through her ears the word had a weird ring to it. "Um no I think you have the wrong person. I'm Elaina." She said backing up slightly.

[Manic]

"Elena..." Damon rolled the strange girls name around his mouth like a new flavor. This girl looked like Katherine re-incarnate, from the flowing locks of dark hair to the curve of her hips. But that look in her eye as she studied him warily... That was new. "I'm sorry. I thought...You just resemble someone I knew a long time ago."

[Vampiress Angel]

"No problem. I'm just waiting for my mom to come get me." She said not knowing why she was telling a complete stranger that her parents were coming to get her. Maybe it was to keep herself safe and to tell him he wasn't alone. "Why is someone like you out here all alone on a night like this?" She crossed her arms and watched him.

[Manic]

A smile curved Damon's lips. "There's a party going on, isn't there?" He leaned in closer, whispering, "I need you to do something for me, Elena. I need you to forget me, okay? I don't want anyone to know I'm here yet. But don't worry. I have a feeling we'll meet again sometime soon."

The words echoed through her mind as she was compelled to forget that Damon had showed up. A second later he was gone and she snapped out of her trance and just stood there waiting for her parents that showed up moments after.

Returning home was something Stephan had not expected to do so soon. It had only been fifty years since his last i- people might remember him. But he couldn't help himself. He was drawn here like a fly to honey.

Emerging from the forest, Wickery bridge was just insight when it happened. He remembered when the bridge had first been constructed. When a flood had washed it away seventy years ago. Now, the railing was being ripped away as a car careened off the side, into the river.

Elena had just relaxed on the way home from her night out partying. Partying was such a strong word she never had anything to drink she was always good about that. All of a sudden she heard her dad scream and she looked up to see the car going off the side of the bridge. Before she could let out her own scream she was under water and trying to get free. Her mother was unconscious or dead and her dad was trying desperately to get her out of the car as well as himself. What if I die here tonight? Elena was only 18 years old and she had not had a chance to live her life.
