    Default I need a sad playlist[Musiq Request]

I was kinda hoping for Sombre and slow music to listen to. Generally sad music too would be fantastically epic.

Afte mixing my playlists with all of my brother's music and my sister's music and this other guy I used to work with's music I have too many irratating songs mixed in with the songs I love.

I always create a playlist simply titled SAD which I pretty much always listen to.

That includes slow songs, sad songs, songs my managar defines at work as 'slit your own wrist' music.

The bands that define this most sweet are prolly Chevelle, Cold play, linkin park

I cna't afford to drink! Litterally that shi- costs money!

I need a sad song to turn my days, weeks months eternity around. HELP ME OUT.

    Examples.

Cold play - (Prettym uch all the songs that aren't a major hit)
    - Spiders
    - In my place
    - Rush of blood to the head Etc Etc (their first two albums, dies I loved em)

    John Legend - I love

Chevelle - Suffocating when I was breaking up with this girl I must have played this song to death.
    - Dos
    - Vitamin R
    The Script - Nothing

Rise against - Hero of War
    - Give it all (Not slow at all, this one works both ways.)
    - there's another one but I can't remember which one it is it's in the Siren song of a coutner culture album

    The Beatles - Yesterday

Hinder - Lips of an angel

    Blink 182 - I miss you.

Shia - Forgot the song's name.

Black eyed Pead - Appl song (more angery than sad really but meh)

Bob Marley - Redemtion song(Three little bird is the opposite song to the songs I want ) (I am legend this song is epic there.)
Rolling Stones - Paint it Black (Full metal jacket, perfect song!)

Yeah that's off the top of my head. Any one know any other songs I can add to this? As you can hopefully tell I'm not genre specific.

Well what about bookends by simon and garfunkel... cant go back now by the weepies, futile devices by sufjan stevens. Basically anything by daphne loves derby... they tend to be a depressing acoustic band but i love them... Sorry if the first ones were strange... I tend to listen to hippie music.

A lot of Joe Dassin songs bring me into melancholy.

    @Hon
No way I love simon and garfunkel. The sounds of silence is prehaps one of the greatest songs of all time.

I've never heard off bookends but you have my interest.

    Enjoying stevens.

    @Shx
I'm impressed wen I saw the opening I dind't expect to like it. But I like they lyrics. It's pretty sweet man.

    LOL are you collecting joes?

The start of the second joe was worryingly slow especially considering I know this base line but both the beat and the words are actuall pretty good.

Oh I also forgot Fast Cars by Tracy Chapman!

I edited the second Joe out because I figured it was a bit too undahgraundrapshit and replaced it by another tune, but eh... too late hah! I dropped some more alternative depressive rapcrap mixed with singing instead.

It just happens that my favorite rapper of all time is named Joe and that my childhood's favorite oldschool French singer is also named Joe! :P

Image by God Module DarkSynth tune about a relationship falling apart and the understanding that nothing is perfect in this world prettymuch.

    Left Behind
    To Die For
Both synthrock tunes by The Birthday Massacre. More tunes about relationships falling apart/ people drifting apart. =P (they have a lot of depressing tunes)

Almost Again by Strapping Young Lad
Heavy metal tune that has a meaning anyone can reflect upon.

    Hyperdrive by Devin Townsend
How life can be so sporadic. i.e. how random things come and go such as the good, the bad, and the ugly of life(tho the last verse suggests it is related towards relationships).

    No One's There - Korn
    Need I say more?

Training Day - 40 Below Summer
"Again I swear I'll let you down."

    No Name - Motograter
"...Then bury me with no name."

    Undercurrents - Fear Factory
    "Undercurrents slowly drowning me."

    Monolith - Ihsahn
"It was never the icy winds of the heights but the coldness of the world that hardened my foundation."

    Binoculars - TomandAndy
Instrumental song. One could perceive the song's depressing tone is related to looking through binoculars and seeing no sign of hope ahead. Well I like the tune, anyway...

    The Moribund People - Peccatum
    Lost - Voyage
In one way or another, both are depressing in some manner. =P

Fighting the Gravity - Blink 182
People of the Lie - KMFDM
    Hold Your Colour - Pendulum
End of Days II - Ministry
    Shipwrecked Frontier Pioneer - Arcturus
Selkies: The Endless Obsession - Between the Buried and Me

Sure, some of these tunes don't sound heavily depressing but the lyrics behind them all justify a sort of daunting feeling that can be connected to culture like media/political saturation of the mind and how we have lost touch with so much that we're heading in a downward spiral.

    Anyway, hope this helps.

Every time I hear anything by The National I end up crying. Let's see... which song to go with...

    Sorrow

I actually had to take their album off my iPod. I love them, passionately, but I can't have that stuff come up on shuffle and have me turn into a wreck.

Don't Dream It's Over by Crowded House.
    Blasphemous Rumours by Depeche Mode.
Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division.
Pictures of You by The Cure

There's a few off the top of my head. If you want a bit of a sappy selection, just about anything by Air Supply.

And the saddest song on earth is Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead, I cry like a baby every time I hear it.
