“What's the situation? Don't spare me any details.” King Hrothgar, Dwarf King of the Kingdom of Earth asked the assembled generals and noble military leaders. They stood around a table, a detailed map that included topography was laid out before them, with figures representing various divisions of troops were placed on the map.
“We have several reports of small skirmishes along the north and north-east borders, as well as two larger battles taking place in outlaying villages. Reports are unclear as to the condition of those, but from what has been gathered we know that one of those battles in still going on, and the other is most likely lost, leaving our troops on the retreat, leaving the attackers to regroup and move to help their allies in the other battle. 71st light infantry battalion has reported 43% casualty rate, and no word from 63rd, we assume they've been wiped out.” Prince Thann, King Hrothgar's second in line spoke.
“Is that it?” Hrothgar asked.
“As of right now yes, we are planning a counter offensive, we plan to send in 51st heavy infantry accompanied by two squadrons of the 107th berserkers.” General Othurk answered this time.
“Are you sure about that, I don't like using the beserkers openly. It's a known fact that we do employ them, but I would rather keep them back until we need them.” Hrothgar said looking at the map.
“With all do respect your Highness, we find that the beserkers would be ideal for this situation, they will make quick work of the enemies, we don't know how they will preform in full on warfare if it comes to that.”
“I see. Well, good work. I have high expectations of you. We'll put down the Water Kingdom once and for all if they choose to press the assault.

Long ago, the Six Kingdom's lived as one, ruled over by six benevolent rulers each representing one of the six primary arcane elements.: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light, and Dark. Each element belonged primarily to a single race: Earth for the Dwarves, Air for the Avian's, Fire for the Humans, Water for the Elves, Light for the Angels, and Dark for the Drow. Each race lived in their own section of the city, living in peaceful co-existence with one another.
But in time dissension rose amongst the people, factions were formed and riots ensued. The riots turned into open street warfare. The rulers were overwhelmed, but there words meant nothing over the roar of war, and eventually their words were silenced by assassin blades. The warefare for an entire year, the streets ran with the blood of thousands, and each faction couldn't clear the bodies from the streets fast enough.
Finally, revolutionaries from each faction met, to agree on terms. They argued for a fortnight, old wounds and old evident in their discussions. Many threatened further warfare and atrocities. But at last, they came to a decision: They would divide the kingdom.
The Dwarve's would take the mineral rich Gurnde Mountain to the north. The Avians would take the open plains in the heartland of the kingdom. The humans would take to the Venkren Volcanic wastelands to the west. The elves would take to the east coast and the varies small islands just off shore. The Angels would take to the magical Lunar Forest of the North-east. And the Drow would retreat back into their ancestral home of the Underdark, the entrance hidden in the Shutterfang Mountains to the south.
