Our story will begin with a small band of travelers (who, what, when, where, and why they are will be settled at a later time). Every traveler must stop for the night, no? Well this fateful night, the band happens upon a small inn in the middle of the forest, marked on no map they carry. The graciously named 'Four Winds Bar' is a mystery to them, but they stop anyway and spend the night.

What happens next... well, you'll see.

Well, let's begin with the who, what, when, where, and why. Since this was originally your idea, let me know what you think those should be, and I'll add to it.

Well we already said we'd have our two main characters and then a few NPCs (I'd say three at max) to round out our 'group'.

As for why they are travelers/traveling, I figure they're just a band of fortune hunters, perhaps? Maybe a roving theater troop, perhaps? open for discussion, there.

Obviously based on the fact that they are a band of travelers, I was hoping to go for a more fantasy-based timezone, but of course, it could easily be situated to a present-times feel. Depends on how we wanna go. It's gonna go supernatural down the line, anyway xD

As for where, that kind of depends on the previous topic, the when.

So... we'll be a group of five. And I don't know.. which appeals to you more? Should they be fortune hunters or a theater group/performers or something else completely? This is super important, obviously because it'll play a big role on what kinds of characters we create.

Do we want to create a place, just for the RP? A small village in the country of InsertFantasyNameHere? If not, I think the 'where' should definitely be somewhere in Europe.

Okay with the addition of it being "present-tense", I can see them as being treasure hunters looking for a 'lost ruin' in the Alps. The forested regions can't be completely mapped, so stumbling upon an old-timey inn might come as a welcome surprise to these lost and lonely adventurers xD

Using the current world would make it more fun, as we could make references that may or may not make each other laugh :P

I love and agree with everything. If they're treasure hunters, each person could be a really different individual with a unique backstory. It sounds so much fun! Is it time for the character sheets?
