Edeapolis...
...a safe haven to some, a nightmarish labyrinth of walls and metal to others. The city, with it's sky high buildings at the center and rotting slums near the edge are governed by a single organization known as the Gehenna corps. To some this organization looked like their savior, bringing "peace", technological advancements and infrastructural development to a once chaotic city. But to most, those that were kicked out of their homes and made homeless to accommodate the rich and the friends of the Gehenna corps, these people see the organization as a tyrant, ruling over others with an iron fist. Gehenna corps implemented a feudal system kind of government and oppressed those who showed any hint of question or rebellion. They governed the people mostly with fear rather than compassion, with self-indulgence and greed rather than solidarity and community.

But the worse was yet to come...
Not many know of the dark deeds done by the Gehenna corps, the experiments they do onto humans all in the name of science and for the "greater good of the human race". Most of these human experiments either perished or were thrown away into the deep labyrinthal ruins underneath the city. And now the Gehenna corps were working on their latest project, fully funded and supported by the enigmatic president of the Gehenna corps, Deus. The project so far had killed countless of lives as most of the human guinea pigs couldn't survive the parasitic implants and other weird technologies implanted into them.

Except for two.

A man and a woman, both were crowned the Gehenna corps' best "weaponry" system. One does not know anything of the other, only the fact that they exist. With these two, Gehenna corps had big plans...very big plans but all those plans were temporarily halted when the man escaped. Now all focus on research development fell onto the woman...but she too was planning her escape...

Human Genesis IC Roleplay thread

Location:
The city of Edeapolis is divided into 3 sections -

The northern sector, also known as the Utopia sector, is where all the Gehenna corps buildings are located. The residential area of this sector is mostly populated by employees of Gehenna corps and their families. This sector is very clean and has several lush green parks scattered throughout the sector. Other than Gehenna corps employees, the filthy rich and supporters of the Gehenna corps are allowed to live here.

The eastern sector, also known as the Infernum sector, is where a collection of old housing and slums are located. The residential area is mostly populated by the middle and working class and those who hope to one day make it big and enter the Gehenna corps. There is also an industrial area that processes all the steel, iron and other materials needed for developing, advancing and maintaining the buildings in the Utopia sector. The air in this area is polluted and is also vented out to the western section. There are a few green areas but they are gradually decaying.

The western sector, also known as the Wastelands, is where the ruins of the old city is located and where a lot of people who oppose Gehenna corps and those who cannot afford of weren't allowed to live in the other two sectors reside. The land here is rotting and there is hardly any green areas left. Also with the air ventilation from the eastern sector, the air in this area is heavily polluted. There are some ruin entrances that lead into the uncharted labyrinths underneath the city, but people mostly stay away from those areas in fear of "creatures" dwelling in them.

There are high metal walls and gates separating as well as surrounding the northern, eastern and western sectors of the city and when viewed from the sky, the metal walls and gates ironically look like the formation of an inverted peace sign.

Special abilities gained from the Gehenna experimentations:
Kesia has long and wispy diamond-like implants on the wrist of her right hand and similar but larger diamond-like implants on her back, one of which follows the groove of her spine. When in "Meta Excel" mode, her right hand transform into a large claw and translucent blade-like wings appear on her back. She also gains a visor that covers her face.
When in "Meta Excel" mode her speed is increased greatly as well as her strength but excessive use or transformation into "Meta Excel" can be life threatening and can sometimes render Kesia berserk due to the overwhelming power of her implants. She has difficulty controlling her "Meta Excel" abilities and would prefer to fight in hand-to-hand combat or using her Chi blaster (medium to long range) equipped on the glove of her left hand, to fight.

Bio:
Kesia's memory of how she became a human guinea pig for the Gehenna corps is vague but she remembered that it had something to do with her being sick and her parents wanting to find a cure for her illness.

A tattoo-like design decorates his body from the forehead to the bottom of his torso. These intricate tattoos glow and move when activated, their shapes allowing him to conjure various weapons and other items out of shadow matter. Using this same shadow matter, he can teleport himself and a small number of other people or objects to any point he can see. When his tattoos turn red, he goes into "Shadow Master" mode. In this state he can manipulate any and all shadows around him, even making them come alive and be able to interact with the physical world. If he becomes enraged, this state is double in "Shadow Fury" mode. In this he is at his most powerful, able to grab someone's shadow and literally choke them or kill them. He is also at his most vulnerable, if he is harmed seriously in this state, he is unable to ever regenerate the damage.

Bio: Alanoth was chosen by Gehenna because he was living on the streets, a vagrant that no one cared about. His DNA matched up with what they were looking for, and his short temper at the time intrigued them, so he became experiment "Jacknife". He was injected with hundreds of different chemicals and drugs, put through excruciating pain all for the sake of a weapon. Before they could finish giving him all the abilities they planned, however, he broke loose, killing half the technicians and all the guards on his way out. He lives in hiding in the Western sector now, dodging the occasional Gehenna patrol, or outright killing them. When he heard news of another runaway experiment, he instantly knew who it was, and set out to look for her.
