What's your guy's thoughts on Wicca? For people who doesn't know, It's basically a religion that believes in Magick. We have two gods, and believe in giving back to Mother Earth. I am one, and I'd like to know your guys views.

He wont get in trouble as in...the mods and admins telling him off but some people might post thier personal views and that is where trouble comes in. But religious topics are not against the rules, no.

And since he asked for peoples views heres mine. I couldn't care less what religion/belief system you are part of, as long as you don't try to convert me. In fact one girl I dated is Wiccan, as is my sister and her best friend and the best friend of my other sister. I kind of am but not to the extent they are though. I believe all dieties exist and I don't believe one is the one true religion, because I have studied and looked things up, and asked people of those religions for information so it was unbiased.

The topic of conversation is fine as long as people can keep their opinions civil and politely explained.

I'm not a particularly spiritual person; I guess the best word to describe it is apatheistic. I agree with Fox that I don't judge a person based on their religion, but only if their beliefs are not causing harm to others that I believe to be immoral. I'd be interested to hear more about your religious culture and your personal experience with the Wicca belief though

Like Auki, I don't describe myself as religious to the point where I attend or practice a certain one. In my experience, religions were made to answer questions we previously could not... and seem to be going slowly out of date.

In terms of Wicca, and I don't want to offend anyone, it's one of the earlier religions I found silly when I was much younger. I suppose I should give it a fair chance and allow those who practice it to explain it. People I've encountered who claim they practice Wicca seem to be doing so in teenage rebellion against their christian parents, and I've never heard of anyone over the age of 25 practicing it.

I personally find Wicca to be a very fascinating religion, to the point where I even have a book of Wiccan spells. Unfortunately, I've only tried one of the spells in the book (it's a dream spell that ibvolves The Lovers card from a Tarot deck) since I don't have any items necessary for any of the other spells that are mentioned (and there aren't any Wiccan stores in my area). I think it's very interesting and I love the Wiccan Rede ("An it harm none, do as thou wilt"- or a similar variation).

@Xalian, There have been many times when someone just says religion, and people go for throats . But everyone on here is super cool and nice so we can have a nice civil discussion.

As for my opinion, I have never really had one. My "opinion" is that I am too busy living life to be worrying about things like "who created this", and “who is right.". I have been told many times before that I better decide soon, so that I can prepare for eternity, technically I was baptized as a baby, but I didn't much say in the matter .
Now I realize that Wicca is more about giving back to Earth, but I don't need a religion to do that.
(I'm not bashing on Christianity here.) Just like you don't need the bible to know how to, Honor thy mother, thy neighbor, thou shall not kill. All religions have quite good points that would make us better people to live by. So I guess what I am getting at is we should take all the lessons that all the religions have because they are a good thing to live by and just live. (Now I'm not saying if you follow a religion you’re not living.) I don't think God, The Gods, The Gods and Goddesses, Buddha, Allah, or whoever is really concerned with them being believed in. If we all just live by the honorable codes of the religion and makes ourselves sinless, enlightened, etc. then I think that's all that really matters.

Whether you believe in God or not. Look over the bible, it has some things that are really unique. Same with ALL religions.

Funny cause I've witnessed the opposite.
I know a variety of people in their 30s and 40s who are Wiccan but their kids are Christian. From what I remember several years back, a daughter from one of the folks I know viewed the Wiccans as holding silly beliefs and so became a Christian instead as it was far more serious in her mind.

Anyway, I have no interest in changing from my current agnostic state so I'll take my leave but add I'm like Foxy in that peeps can believe in whatever they want and I honestly don't care. As long as you don't try and force anything down my throat, everything will be okay between us. =P

In the Wiccan religion, we have a three times rule.
Say I was to cast something bad on you that brings you harm. Whatever happened to you, something would happen to me three times worse. Same goes for something good. But only if your doing it out of kindness and not for self gain.
@House-I'm not rebelling. Not sYing your accusing me of it however. My mother is a Wiccan(32 years old) and that's where I get my Wiccan bloodlines from. Anybody can be a Wiccan. But some have Wiccans in their family, which makes them a blood Wiccan.
Many people, especially Christians and Catholics, believe us to be Satanists. This is not true. Why people began to believe this WAAAAY back in the day, is beyond me. We don't even believe in an evil presence that rules over demons. We do have evil spirits that wish to bring harm, and we can call upon these to do such things. But doing so is a dangerous and potentially fatal situation for both the Witch and the victim.
Many blood Wiccans have a special... Talent I guess. Some can see the spirits of the deceased. Others can feel the emotions of those around them. And others can be a vaccuum for these emotions. I myself can see from another persons view point by concentrating on them. Given I'm a 15 year old, so it is weak. I must see them, ad put more concentration into it. As I grow older and work on this, I can see more viewpoints at the same time, and among other things.
@baseball-I do know that spell, and if it worked, I'm suprised. Its kinda unreliable.
