Chaos - The Experiments {{IC}}
PLOT!!
There have been lab experiments on how to splice animal and human DNA. There have been many experiments on willing volunteers. These volunteers were kept under supervision as they were experimented on. All the volunteers were relatively calm people but they all had disturbing or horrific backgrounds.

After the experiments were completed the person would be mentally connected to the animal who's DNA had merged with there's as a result the occasionally black out and see the memories and feel the emotions of the animals that were experimented on, as a result some of the DNA spliced volunteers became violent and aggressive towards others at random moments. The scientists deemed them all a failure and began to do one more experiment on a random person. Everything was fine at first but without contact with the others he became extremely unstable and extremely aggressive to others at random moments the pain and fear that person felt for the animal he was connected to was destroying him/her and the only ones that can stop him/her are the volunteers who have been experimented on.

Rules

2.) You can be a hybrid of mutipul animals but please try not to go overboard. And yes fantasy creatures are allowed.

I like the idea of this role play very much! It seems like it would have that wonderful eerie sci-fi feel! I have a character brewing in my head already!

Just out of curiosity, how long do you expect post lengths to be? Oh, and may I create two characters or are we limited to just one? I was hoping to be a scientist and volunteer but if not I would rather just choose the latter.

Post length would be about one paragraph (4 lines) and you can have two characters if you want just make sure that you can handle them.

*(I, er, broke the age limit rule here because this is my volunteer's father. I won't be playing him primarily, I just figured he would be a very interesting character.)

Name: Aria Butler
Age: 19
Personality: Prior to experimentation, Aria Butler could be summed up in a single word: wallflower. She was a quiet little thing, standing 5'2" and weighing in a 110 lbs. Among peers, she was infamous for keeping a pleasant demeanor and a brick wall around her that kept anyone from getting too close. Little was known about the inner machinations of her mind, but surely, there was more activity happening inside her cranium than there was in her life. Teachers and co-workers loved her due to her brilliance, her hard work, etc. Peers disregarded her, except for those times when she could have been of use to them.

Bio: Aria Jane Butler was born a middle child, sandwiched between a dimwitted but extremely athletic older brother (Apollo) and a dramatic theatre loving younger sister (Anastasia). Their parents, David and Evangeline, loved them enough to give them everything they'd ever wanted... Except for their time. David Butler was a brilliant psychiatrist while Evangeline worked as a divorce lawyer. From the outside world, the Butlers were a healthy, successful family. Their only son, though not extremely smart, had talent that had opened doorways to full ride athletic scholarships; the eldest daughter, though quiet and rather average looking, had seemed to inherit her father's intelligence. She had a 4.9 GPA going into junior year, and she had been expected to graduate valedictorian in her class of over three hundred; the youngest daughter had a love for anything that involved classic literature or performing arts. Although no one was really sure what Anastasia was going to end up doing, years of ballet, hip hop, modern dance, choir, and theatre were bound to pay off in one way or another. Everyone in the family, it seemed, was headed for success.

What the outside world was completely unaware of, however, were David Butler's experiments. Though licensed as a psychiatrist, Doctor Butler had an unofficial background in hypnotism. He didn't just understand the human mind and how it worked; he knew how to control it. His first successful experiment was the brilliant and beautiful Evangeline Holmes, who he'd been dating since high school. She was in college at the time and he had just been hired by Doctor Monroe, a man whose underground psychological experiments made him more money than his above ground work did. Needless to say, young Doctor Butler's curiosity piqued. Soon, he began researching everything there was to know about how to understand the human mind and, eventually, manipulate it.

Doctor Butler began to experiment on his patients. Nothing major, just minor things that would help them find happiness or whatever it was they were searching for in the world. Eventually, Doctor Butler's "influence" spread. People would come into his office to talk, then people would walk out, problems solved. Though it gained Doctor Butler new clients, it never gave him the satisfaction of knowing how they turned out in the long run, whether or not the effects would keep hold. So he used someone he knew would stick around. The gorgeous Evangeline Holmes, soon to be lawyer, claimed that she loved him to death, but she wouldn't marry, she wouldn't have kids. Through mental manipulation, Doctor Butler changed her mind, and Miss Holmes later became Mrs. Butler, mother of a beautiful baby boy, then a baby girl, and then another.

The brilliant Doctor David Butler found a way to get exactly what he wanted out of life by manipulating the minds of others. His wife was just the first long term test subject. Through her, he'd been given three more. This is where Aria's story begins.

Appearance B.T:

Spliced Creatures/animals: Being a person with a relatively calm personality, Aria was injected with four animals, two aggressive, two docile, in an attempt to see which animal type would be most dominant and which would cancel each other out.

Honey Badger; known for its extremely aggressive defense maneuvers and outstanding persistence, this animal was originally injected in order to give Aria "a little bit of a personality kick," to quote her father. Despite obvious physical changes, Aria showed little change in activity aside from when her safety was at risk.

Spitting Cobra; prior to experimentation, it was thought that the cobra snake, as a more aggressive animal, would result in a significant change in Aria's normally peaceful demeanor. The scientists were right. Upon waking after this experiment, it was discovered that Aria's bodily fluids had become poisonous. One scientist was killed after the experiment, one (luckier) scientist became blind in one eye due to projectile toxin.

Indian Eagle Owl; after the last experiment gone horribly wrong, the team of scientists had two choices - risk another failed trial with Aria, or kill her. Though most voted in favor of the latter, Doctor Butler argued that she was still a volunteer, and while it would be against obvious moral codes to just kill her, she was signed up for experimentation and that’s what would be used. The Indian Eagle Owl is noted to be one of the most docile types of nocturnal fowl. These owls also have an affinity for winter, which Aria had never been fond of. The team is standing by to see whether or not that opinion has been affected.

Chartreux Cat; as a follow up to Doctor Butler's proposal, the fourth and final injection given to Aria was that of a domestic cat. The Chartreux are typically quiet and often completely mute. These cats are known for their observance and intelligence, though prefer being alone or with one person with whom they are close to. Many argued that this would be a step backwards - they were trying to change Aria's temperament, not reverse it, but in the long run it turned out to be easier to simply inject her with a new DNA than remove the DNA of two hostile creatures.
